Instead, he sent his soul power forward to investigate. His eyes shone with light and it did not take long before he found something unusual about the place.

Hazy, grey-coloured energy currents surged about and the power of space there twisted chaotically. It would appear that someone had utilized magic powers to tamper with the space there.

Chen Feng considered for a moment before flicking his finger to send out a finger blast. The finger blast shot directly into the void there, disappearing from sight.

It must be a dimension. Chen Feng then took a step forward to enter the hazy, grey-coloured energy currents.

Appearance wise, it seemed as though there wasn’t even a piece of flesh on the old man’s body. His eyes were sunken and only a layer of skin covered his skeleton. He really did look like he was just a walking skeleton. Faint, green-coloured flames could be seen dancing within his eyes. Looking at the old man, Chen Feng first wondered if this was a cultivator from the Ghost Plane.

Kid, the way I see it, you must be a cultivator from Eternal World, no?” The old man waved his hand, indifferent towards Chen Feng’s attack. However, the flames within his eyes danced again and he displayed a faltering look. “No, you do not have the aura of Eternal World. You also don’t seem to be from the Immortal Plane. Chen Feng was shocked. Unexpectedly, this old man would possess such a sharp eyesight. He could actually perceive so many things from his body.

Next, Chen Feng’s aura suddenly transformed, his aura and vitality retracting as his existence within this world seemingly disappeared, drifting into another layer of space.

“Eh?” The old man grew even more shocked. However, he quickly snickered. “Not from the essence worlds and not from the Immortal Plane. Are you perhaps from one of the Myriad Celestial Planes? The Celestial Heartless Plane? Or the Celestial Zenith Plane?”

“Old man, you sure know a lot. You actually know about the Celestial Planes. I am very curious about your origins.” Chen Feng’s eyes shone and he continued, “Enough with the nonsense. Why did you appear here?”

The Blood Mustering Bead spun within Chen Feng’s hand and blood-type grand dao power kept gathering, seemingly ready to burst out at any moment.

I have already discussed it through with your friends. As long as they can help me break free, I will give them some benefits, the type that will move them.”

“Sky Fire! You are a member of the Skyfire Clan?”

“That’s right. You are a member of the Longevity Clan while I am a member of the Skyfire Clan. Now that we know each other, there should be no other reason for you to feel worried, right?” The old man flicked his finger to collect the flame.

“Fine, tell me the details.” Chen Feng nodded as he quickly agreed.

A surprised look of delight flashed across the old man’s face. “I am a starter-level Earthen Immortal. I have been imprisoned here for 100,000 years now. By now, I no longer have much power left in me. Even after breaking free, I will not be able to pose much of a threat to you fellows.”

“As long as you can break the magic array imprisoning me, I will give you fellows a great fortune.”

“I want specific details.”

“I can make a Heart Oath. I have with me a map. On it is the location for one of my grotto-mansions on this planet. It contains some Immortal crystals and treasures. As long as you help me break out, it is yours,” the old man said, bringing out a map which he tossed over to Chen Feng.

Accepting the map, Chen Feng merely gave it a glance before keeping it. “My friends should have received this same map, right?”

“Yes. However, they are not the same map. You should know, I have more than just one grotto-mansion here. How about it?”

“Fine, make the Heart Oath.” Chen Feng nodded.

Next up, the old man actually made a Heart Oath before leading Chen Feng to a magic array. It was then Chen Feng’s turn to break the magic array.

Before getting started on breaking the magic array, Chen Feng investigated the magic array in detail. He determined that the arrays there were truly complicated and sturdy.
