Dwayne laid beside Jessica, butt ass naked and horny as hell. Jessica slept peacefully as he thought about waking her up to fulfill his needs. He knew she had just got off at seven am and didn't really get in the bed until eight but he was super horny and it was now one in the afternoon. Just as he was about to nudge her to get up her phone went off causing her to stir in her sleep, he looked over at her phone seeing the name 'Mateo' causing his face to scrunch up in confusion. Who the fuck was Mateo? And why was he calling her?

Every horny thought he had went out the window with that one call. Her text tone went off once the phone stopped ringing as his name popped up again.  He was never one to snoop but he had an inkling to. Chill out, it's probably just one of her coworkers. He told himself.

Jessica stirred a little more until her eyes slowly fluttered opened, coming face to face with Dwayne who was sitting up looking like he was in deep thought. She smiled. "Good morning," her smile slowly dropping as his facial expression didn't change. "What's wrong?"

He finally focused his eyes on hers. "Who is Mateo?" Her eyes shot open completely. "Huh?" He chuckled, her reaction wasn't one that he liked. "Jessica who the fuck is Mateo?"

She had planned on telling him soon seeing as how she was only a week shy from being at the end of her first trimester but definitely not like this. She sat up unaware of how much he knew. Did he go through my phone? She thought, they didn't talk about much through text, except the baby. Oh shit. Does he know about the baby? "Jessica!" He semi-yelled pulling her out of her thoughts.

She swallowed, it was too early for this. She picked up her phone to check the time seeing a missed call and text from Mateo. That's what sparked it. She looked over at him as she sighed deciding to just be truthful, it was going to come out at some point.

She went to run her hand through her hair, forgetting her bonnet was on. She quickly dropped her hand and looked at him as she bit the side of her bottom lip. "You remember when you broke up with me?"

He rolled his eyes as he got up already knowing where this was going. He stood there in all his naked glory as her eyes roamed over him, his dick no longer hard but it still held weight. "So it's a nigga you fucked with in the fucking two days we weren't together?"

She rolled her eyes knowing it could go like this, she threw back the covers, however she still remained seated on the bed. They were at his place, so if anyone was leaving it would be her.

"D it's not even like that, I didn't plan for it to happen and I barely remember the shit." He got wide eyed as he started pacing, "so you really fucked this nigga? You really fucked another nigga?" He yelled.

She sighed, "Dwayne I was drunk as hell and in my feelings about you. I regretted it as soon as I realized what happened!" She yelled back.

He started laughing, and it wasn't because this shit was funny. He started shaking his head. "Nahh, you still fucking with this nigga. Why he calling you? Why he texting you? Why you still in contact with him?"

Just say it, she prepped herself. Just tell him you're pregnant. She bit her lip as her stomach started to knot up and her throat started to hurt from the cry she was trying to hold back. "Jessica! Fucking answer me!" He yelled out as he got closer to her.

She stood up, "I'm pregnant!" She yelled back as tears started to fall. He looked at her with pure anger and a hint of confusion. "What?" He questioned. Was he really going to make her say it again? She couldn't say it again, she wouldn't. She shook her head as she started to pack her stuff up. "Dwayne you heard me."

"And it's his?" He questioned. She could hear the hurt in his voice without even having to look at him. She nodded her head as she wiped a tear that was falling. She knew she had lost this whole relationship off of a stupid ass one night stand that resulted in a child she didn't have the balls to get rid of.

She looked up, taken aback with how quiet it got. He just stood there looking at her, his hand resting on his beard. She zipped up her bag after she pulled out some sweats to put on. He moved to his dresser throwing on some boxers. "I'm going to go ahead and go." She let out while his back was to her.

He quickly turned facing her. He was hurt and there was no doubt about it, as much as he loved this girl he didn't think he could stand by her pregnant by another man. But he did want to know who the nigga was. "Who is he?" He questioned. "The fuck kind of name is Mateo," he said lowly. "You fucking with a Spanish nigga."

Jessica swallowed. "What do you mean?" She asked. He knew his name, what more did he mean by who is he? "It happened once, I don't really know much about him." She let out, automatically making her feel gross about herself.

"I want to meet him." He stated as he crossed his arms. This threw Jessica off, she didn't understand why he wanted to meet him. "Are you going to stay with me?" She asked slowly.

He scoffed, not answering the question. She held a look of confusion. It wouldn't make sense for him to meet him otherwise, so it was weird to her. She rolled her eyes and shook her head as she picked her bag up. He knew he didn't plan on staying but he wanted to meet dude so he said what he had to say, "maybe." He let out.

She stopped walking as she turned to look at him. She was surprised, knowing the type of man he was she just knew him staying wouldn't even cross his mind. Then it clicked. She shook her head no. "No Dwayne, you are not about to meet him just to fight him or talk shit." She knew his temper and if he felt threatened or like somebody disrespected him that's exactly what he would do.

"So you defending this dude?" He questioned with anger. She threw her hands up before letting them fall again, "no Dwayne, but if you're just trying to meet him to start shit what does that benefit? Especially when you know you aren't even going to stick it through with me. I'm still going to be dealing with him."

He shook his head. "How could you fucking do this to me? After everything we been through?"

"Don't you dare! You broke up with me Dwayne, was it wrong for me to go out and sleep with somebody else so soon? Yes! But I didn't cheat on you and you aren't going to play it like I did."

He crossed his arms as he knitted his eyebrows together. "Man fuck that. We been fucking for two years and you never got pregnant and now you are with some random ass dude?"

She sighed no longer understanding the purpose of the argument, she didn't understand what he was really mad about. "You know I got the IUD taken out to give my body a break for some time. It was around the same time you decided to stop dicking me down so we could focus less on the physical or whatever the hell you said." She rolled her eyes, she didn't mind not having sex but she thought it was total bullshit when he said it. "Shit, were you cheating on me!? Was that reason you wanted to stop? Didn't want to raw dog too many at one time?" She started getting upset thinking about it.

He chuckled. "Fuck out of here Jess, don't try to flip this shit on me cause your ass fucked around and got pregnant by some random ass nigga."

"Fuck you Dwayne." With that she turned to leave his room, and his apartment altogether.

She got in her car pulling up the text from Mateo in which he stated he had a flight that was leaving out at three, so he would be there by five. She sent him a quick okay before heading to her place.

—

It was now six pm as Mateo stood at Jessica's door delivering a few knocks. She easily made her way to the door after turning off the stove. She was hungry and didn't feel like leaving so she made some baked bbq chicken, broccoli and mashed potatoes. An aroma Mateo easily caught whiff of once he walked in.

"Smells good," he stated as his mouth watered. He hadn't ate yet and was going to see if she wanted to go eat. "Thank you, are you hungry?" She questioned.

He nodded his head, the only time he really got home-cooked meals was when he went by his mother's, Sofia could cook but she rarely did. They ate out a lot. Jessica laughed, "good cause I am too and I didn't want to be rude and just eat in front of you. But I'm definitely about to chow down."

She made a plate for both of them, giving him bigger portions as they sat at the little island she had by her kitchen. They ate in silence with the TV being the only thing heard until they got towards the end of the meal. "This was really good," Mateo let out. "Really good."

Jessica smiled as she got up to take their plates to the sink. "I appreciate that." She started washing the dishes, she hated to have a sink full of dishes and she vowed to always wash them as soon as she was done if she wasn't in a rush to get somewhere. Once she finished up she made her way to the living room as Mateo got up from his seat at the island and followed her.

She plopped down as she faced him, he sat on the opposite couch. "What's up? You flew all this way." He nodded his head as he leaned back on the couch, placing his long arm over the back of it before focusing on her. "After talking to my mother, she just put some things into perspective."

Jessica's mouth formed an 'O' "you told your mother?" He nodded, "yeah, you haven't told yours?" Jessica wasn't exactly close with her mother growing up and they often bumped heads, she couldn't imagine telling her mother she was pregnant, by a guy she barely knew. Jessica laughed a little as she looked down, picking some lint off of her couch. "No, we don't really talk too much."

This intrigued Mateo, he was pretty close with his mother. And Sofia was close with her mother, "why? If you don't mind me asking." She cleared her throat, "we just view a lot of things differently." And that's the furthest she wanted to go with that conversation. Her mother lived in the same city as her and never called or stopped by and Jessica wasn't going to force her.

He could tell it was a touchy subject for her. "Well I think you should tell her, I hear babies can help relationships." She nodded, keeping it in mind. She knew she would tell her, she just didn't know when. "Who else knows?" She questioned.

He shook his head, "just my mom and Xavier. Who knows on your end?" She looked up at him, "that I'm pregnant? Or that I'm pregnant by you?"

"Uh, both." She laughed thinking about the situation from that morning, it wasn't funny but she couldn't believe it went down like that. "Well Alexis, my doctor's office and my boy - well I guess ex-boyfriend now."

Mateo got wide eyed, "you told him?" She shook her head, "I stayed with him last night and you called and text me earlier and he saw it, and of course asked who you were and I knew I had to tell him at some point anyways so yeah."

"Damn, my bad." She shook her head no and waved it off. "It was coming out sooner than later. Can't hide a growing belly but for so long. When do you plan on telling your girlfriend?"

He shrugged his shoulders, as he leaned forward placing his elbows on his thighs. "I don't know yet. Not exactly a fun conversation." She nodded, "trust me, I know." A knock came through on her door, pausing their conversation. She was happy everything was going well with them at the moment, once she took the time to put into perspective what Alexis said she let her attitude go. And Mateo was growing to accept he had a child on the way, a part of him was actually becoming excited about it.

Jessica got up with slight confusion on her face, she wasn't expecting anyone else. She went to the door looking through the peephole. "Shit," she let out lowly. She looked over at Mateo who had just turned around facing the door momentarily. "Um, you're possibly going to meet Dwayne."

"Dwayne?" Mateo questioned with his eyebrows brought in. Before she said anymore she opened the door as Dwayne stood their looking at her.

Jessica crossed her arms, "what's up Dwayne?" He ran a hand over his beard. "I wanted to talk."  She took him in, his eyes were low as if he had been drinking or smoking or both. He wasn't in his right mind.

"Can we talk later?" She questioned. He licked his lips, realizing he was still standing outside her door. "Why? Why can't we talk now?"

"Now isn't a good time." He chuckled, "why you got company?" He was definitely lit, she smelt the liquor on his breath as he asked.

"Dwayne you're drunk, now is not the time to do this." Mateo got up, causing Jessica to look over at him as she saw him from her peripheral. "You good?" He asked quietly. She nodded her head as she quickly looked back at Dwayne who had definitely caught the little interaction.

He walked in pushing her to the side a little as he looked towards her living room, connecting eyes with Mateo. He started laughing, "this the dude?" She sighed, "Dwayne, please don't do this."

Mateo just stood there taking him in, not saying much. Watching the interactions moreso. "Is this the lame you fucked?" He asked as he pointed towards Mateo. "This your baby daddy?" he laughed. Mateo's jaw tightened. It was clear that this dude was highly upset. "I oughta whoop his ass." This caused Mateo to laugh and Dwayne quickly looked over at him. "Something funny?" Jessica pulled Dwayne's arm, "Dwayne stop, please just go." He snatched his arm from her, causing her to stumble a little. He was a different person when he was drunk and angry, a person that Jessica didn't like.

Mateo shook his head at how stupid this guy was making himself look. Dwayne started closing the space in between the two as Mateo took a step back. "C'mon now man, you doing a lot right now." Mateo let out, the last thing he was trying to do was fight Dwayne, especially in Jessica's apartment, but he was far from a punk; so if it had to happen it would happen.

"Nigga you laughing like shit funny, like who the fuck is you?"

"It's clear you know who I am," Mateo let out with his arms crossed. All of his responses were calm, the complete opposite of Dwayne's. Dwayne pushed him, "you getting smart? Like you wasn't fucking my bitch?" Mateo quickly dropped his arms pushing him back. "Man what's up?" He wasn't about to stand there and deal with this bullshit, if Dwayne wanted a fight he could have one at this point. Jessica quickly made her way in between the two. "Stop!" She yelled out as Dwayne quickly pushed her to side not realizing the strength he used as she fell. That's all it took for Mateo to see red. Before Dwayne could even throw a hit Mateo threw one that connected with his jaw. All this did was make Dwayne madder.

They went head to head as furniture in her apartment got moved around, and a lamp got knocked over. She went out to her hallway asking for help to break the two up because she knew she couldn't. A man quickly ran her way as he walked in and quickly grabbed Mateo up who happened to be throwing blows at Dwayne. When the man did this it allowed enough time for Dwayne to get up and deliver a blow to Mateo's face. Mateo broke out of the man's grasp throwing another hit as the man pulled Dwayne back. Mateo stopped once the man did that. They both stood there breathing hard. Mateo wiped the blood from his mouth as Dwayne wiped the blood from his nose. "One of you need to go," the man let out.

Mateo was pissed and knew he needed to calm down, he pulled his keys out of his pocket walking towards her door. "I'll see you tomorrow at the appointment," he stated towards a scared Jessica. He looked around the apartment feeling bad as shit, making a note to write her a check to get some new shit.

He took one last look at her as she gave him an "okay," before he left out.
