Jessica stood in her living room as Dwayne cleaned himself up in her bathroom. He walked out as Jessica held a scowl on her face. "What?" He questioned.

She pushed him, "what the hell was that?" He walked to her kitchen grabbing a water bottle as he gulped it down. His drunkness coming down. A good fight always did that for him.

"That nigga?" He questioned. "You cheated on me with a fucking chulo or some other shit? What the fuck is he?"

She noted that as a question to ask him, she was sure he was of Hispanic descent. But he was a celebrity, she could also easily google it as well. "Hispanic," she stated with confidence.

Dwayne shook his head. "But that shit isn't important!" She yelled remembering this was her turn to be upset. "I can't believe you came in here doing that shit! Like what the fuck. Look at my living room!" She pointed towards the mess. "And all of that for what!?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "you know me and you knew it was coming. Wasn't no way I wasn't going to get his head. Fuck out of here." He was territorial and she knew that. But she wasn't his when it happened, Mateo didn't even know his name until right before she opened the door.

She rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms. "That shit was lame as hell."

"Just like that nigga. But I'm out of here. I'll be around to get my shit at some point." That just pissed her off even more. She knew he wouldn't be the type to stick around but to cause a scene like that just to still dip? That was weak as hell to her. She rolled her eyes, "oh so you proved your point?"

He chuckled. "Jessica you don't get it. I fucking love you. Like a whole fucking lot. And you get pregnant by a random ass dude? You know how that shit feels?"

She didn't and she couldn't act like she did. She didn't say anything. "Exactly," he let out. "I get it Dwayne I do. I would be hurt if the tables were turned but you broke up with me. You are acting like I cheated when I didn't. We weren't together when it happened. Regardless if it was a day, a week or a month."

He looked at her with pure anger and hurt in his eyes. "Are you trying to justify this right now?" She opened her mouth to respond as his phone started ringing. He silenced it but just as quick as he did that it started ringing again. "Get it." She let out.

He looked at his phone already knowing who was blowing it up, Brielle. She was the last person he wanted to deal with right now. But at the same time he had just went and dicked her down after Jessica's confession and promised her they could do dinner at seven. He looked at the time and it was almost eight. He was actually surprised she wasn't blowing his phone up sooner.

He answered as he stepped away from Jessica, but Brielle was way too loud on the phone for her not to hear. "We were supposed to go eat at seven Dwayne, it's 7:45. Where are you at D?" She questioned loudly. Causing Jessica's eyebrows to knit together. Dwayne looked over at her before making his way towards her door. But she quickly pulled his arm. He gave her a look before he continued walking.

She stood there dumbfounded, but well aware that he clearly was dealing with someone else. And it definitely was during their relationship.

Mateo laid on the bed in his hotel room as an incoming FaceTime call from Sofia popped up. He sighed as he slid it to answer it.

She was all smiles with her girls loud as hell in the background. "Be quiet!" She let out. "My baby answered."

"She's drunk as hell Mateo!" One of her friends yelled out in the background. "No I'm not," she let out as he chuckled. She definitely was.

"What's up?" He questioned as he ran a hand over his face. The lights were off, the only light coming from the TV as it was after nine so the sun was already down.

"I miss you," she let out as she got away from her friends. He licked his lips as he responded. "I miss you too."

"I can barely see you. Turn on a light," she demanded. He shook his head no. "I don't feel like getting up." She smacked her teeth. "Well we're about to get ready and go out and shit. I just wanted to call you cause I miss you."

"Well have fun, and act right." She smiled. "I always do." They had more slight conversation before the call truly came to an end.

A text popped up from Jessica at the top of the screen as they said there goodbyes. He ended the call as he went to the message. I'm sooo sorry about earlier.

He texted her back letting her know it was all good and none of her fault as he apologized about her apartment. But he indeed wasn't a fan of Dwayne. He debated on calling her. He was bored as hell in his room. He thought about hitting a bar but he didn't feel like moving. His finger hovered over the call button before he just clicked it.

Jessica was laying on her bed watching Netflix. She cleaned up her apartment and then packed up Dwayne's stuff before deciding to relax. She looked down at her ringing phone as she grabbed it to answer seeing Mateo's name.

"How old are you?" He questioned as soon as she answered causing her to laugh. They really didn't know the slightest bit about each other. "I'm 25, how old are you?"

"27, did you play any sports growing up?" He questioned. Jessica got more comfortable in her bed. "I ran track and played volleyball. Neither that I stuck to. I was playing no sports by my senior year," she laughed a little.

He laughed a little as he shook his head, they were clearly opposites in that area. "I take it you played Baseball growing up. Did you play any other sports?" She questioned.

"I played football, it wasn't until I got to middle school and one of my friends asked me to try out for baseball with him did I learn the sport. And I fell in love. I played both up until my senior year to keep in shape and got scholarships for both too. However baseball has my heart so yeah."

Jessica wasn't surprised, the way he was built she could easily see him playing football. "Well we're going to hope this child sticks to the sports like you did," she laughed lightly.

He shrugged as if she could see him, "they will at least finish the season out, no quitting in the middle but if they decide they don't want to after that I wouldn't be mad."

"Oh so you're not one of those 'my son is going to play baseball like I did. Whether he wants to or not' type of dudes?"

Mateo laughed at how she changed her voice up to say it. "First off, nobody sounds like that, and no. Wouldn't force them to do something they don't enjoy."

Jessica nodded her head liking that response. "Well that's what's up." She tuned into the Netflix movie she had up as the line sat silent for a moment.

"Were your parents strict growing up?" She questioned.

Mateo got more comfortable on the bed before responding, "nah, not really. My mother trusted me. My pops died when I was younger so it was just her."

"Oh I'm sorry, if you don't mind me asking how did he die?"

"Died on duty, he was a police officer. Got shot. It happened when I was like three, so I don't have too many memories of him. Just pictures. But he had all his ducks in a row, left my mother a lot."

"And you're their only child?" He nodded as if she could see. "Yeah, my mother struggled with having kids. I was her blessing as she says."

Jessica smiled at the last part of his statement. "What about you? Only child? We're your parents strict?" He questioned back.

"Mmm, my parents were," she thought of the correct word to say. "Different."

He definitely wanted to dive in a little more when it came to her parents but he would save that for another time. He could tell from her response earlier about her mother that it wasn't something she was truly ready to dive into.

"But," she continued. "I am not the only child. The youngest for sure though, I have an older sister whose 32 and another sister who is 30. One lives in Miami and the other moved to Canada. I'm the only person who didn't try to get far away from our parents," she did a sad laugh. Now Mateo was furthered interested in learning about her parents.

"Do you talk to them? Your sisters." He asked instead.

"Yeah, every once in a while. We aren't super close. Besides we're all so far away from each other."

He shifted in the bed as he took her response in. She didn't sound like she was big on family; but it was clear she had her reasons. "You want a girl or boy?" he questioned shifting the topic at hand.

Jessica looked up in thought as she subconsciously brought her hand to her belly. "Mmm, I don't know. A boy maybe? I grew up with all girls and I always wondered what it would be like to have a brother. Or to see my dad bond with a boy. What about you?"

"A boy too, I feel like I can just do a lot more shit with him. If I had a girl she would have me wrapped around her finger. I already know I'd be sucker for her."

She laughed, most guys wanted boys. She knew few who truly wanted a girl the first time. "We'll find out soon enough, I think you can find out at 16 weeks, well that's the earliest to tell the gender."

He nodded his head, "You have to let me know when that one is. I'm definitely flying there for that one."

"Will do. You ready for tomorrow's?" It was nothing special, it was only the 12 week appointment. But it would be her last appointment in her first trimester, and they would see more development of the baby.

He yawned, "yeah, what time is it again?" He questioned.

"Ten in the morning!" He nodded as if she could see, "well I'm going to turn it in early tonight. I'll see you in the morning."

She smiled, "alright, good night."

And with that they got off the phone, Jessica watched Netflix until she fell asleep as Mateo quickly drifted off to sleep after the phone call.
