Jessica should have been cussing Dwayne out, or at least letting him know she was upset with some of the shit he said but she didn't even have it in her. She was beyond blown by the whole situation and just wanted to be by herself.

Dwayne looked over at her as she just stared out the window. "Jessica, I'm sorry. I know I went overboard with some stuff. But I don't like that nigga and you know his girl deserved everything I said to her."

That Jessica could agree with for the most part. She didn't say anything or even move from her position of looking out the window. Dwayne sighed as he shook his head, turning up his music as he made the ride to her house.

He pulled in and parked as Jessica quickly took her seatbelt off, "you don't need to come in." She let out. "Then we need to talk," Dwayne let out. "You sitting here with an attitude but you asked me to come!"

"To show that you could get along with Mateo! Not to fight him again!" She yelled.

"He came at me!" He yelled back. "All I did was have your fucking back at that weak ass lunch! I was defending you!" He hit his chest. "I admitted I was doing too much at some points."

"Yeah like telling him you're going to play daddy! You egged that shit on Dwayne, yeah he hit you first but you caused it."

Dwayne shook his head as he chuckled a little, "you deadass defending this nigga right now?"

Jessica rolled her eyes, "I'm definitely not defending him. But that shit could have been avoided. Thank you for having my back, I appreciate that. But I don't want this type of drama in my life or my child's and if this is how the two of you are going to act I'm good on you."

"You act like it's just me! You act like that nigga does no wrong!" Dwayne yelled in anger.

"No the hell I don't! I don't give a fuck about him Dwayne! He's the father of my child's that's it, but its more when it comes to you! You want us to work towards getting back together then you need to get your mouth and anger in check! You act like a child when you get upset and it's extreme. And I'm not even just talking about this situation, I'm talking about when you get drunk and everything in between. I don't want to continue to deal with that."

"Man," Dwayne sucked his teeth. "Whatever Jessica, this shit isn't even about that. You so upset with me but ain't saying shit to that nigga."

"Cause I haven't had the chance to! Right now we're dealing with my anger towards you when I talk to him I'll deal with my anger towards him. But I'm over this conversation. I just want to go eat this food and watch TV by myself. So bye."

She got out the car slamming the door as Dwayne quickly got out. She turned around facing him refusing to have him follow her up the stairs. "That's not how we're about to end this." He voiced as he walked towards her.

She rolled her eyes, "so what Dwayne? What is it that you want to say? Because this conversation isn't getting anywhere and my food is getting colder by the minute."

"You was going to heat that shit up anyways. It's been fucking cold. But I don't want us to end today like this." He said in a softer tone. "I know everything went left and like I stated before I'm sorry for my part in it. But realize I'm for you. I've fucked up in the past and I'm not about to fuck up again. I said some off the wall shit but his girl mouth is off the chain and that nigga don't realize how fucking lucky he is to have gotten you pregnant. The shit pisses me off to even think about it but I'm just trying to remind that nigga that what he won't do another nigga will. If he thinks he about to put you through some bullshit pertaining to that little boy you about to have I'm letting him know it's not going down like that. Cause at the end of day whether he decides to let his girl run him or not, that little boy is going to have a father figure in his life. If you give me another chance that is."

It was a cute little speech, Jessica had to admit that much. "I'm sorry too," she stated looking down, before looking up at him. "Sorry for making you feel like I was putting all the blame on you, and I'm not. But you have to realize I don't want to be in a situation where my man and the father of my child are always going at it. I can respect it if you two don't like each other, but you two are going to have to be cordial and you can't be saying shit like that."

Dwayne sighed, "if you take me back then the shit is true. I'm going to see that baby a lot more than him."

"Okay! But you don't say that, you don't say you're going to play daddy! What if one of Brielle's nigga's would have said that shit to you?"

"I'd beat they ass!"

"Exactly!" She let out, "so don't sit here and act like I'm tripping." He nodded his head in understanding. "Okay. I get it." He crossed his arms. "Let me make today up to you."

"How?" She questioned with slight attitude. He shook his head, "not telling you. Are you going to let me make it up?" Dwayne knew he couldn't push too hard. He had to make her feel like the ball was in her court, because ultimately it was.

She turned around walking towards the stairs, "I'll think about it!" She let out as she smiled, however he couldn't see it. But he definitely could hear it in her voice. He knew she needed some time, she always did when it came to processing her feelings. She was never one to rush the process.

Jessica had just finished eating as she stripped down and laid in her bed. She just wanted to chill for the rest of the day and forget about the days events. Her phone went off as she debated on whether or not she even wanted to reach for it. She decided against it until it went off again. She sighed as she reached over on her night stand grabbing it when it stopped ringing. Two missed calls one from Mateo and one from Lex. A text came through at the same time as she looked at the screen seeing Mateo's name pop up, automatically causing her to roll her eyes.

She opened the message, I'm leaving out tomorrow morning. But I want us to talk before I go. Can I stop by later?

Jessica really didn't want to see him. But she did have some words for him. I guess. She quickly responded before calling Lex back.

"Bitch!" Lex let out. "I don't have long but I had to tell you before this nigga come back to the house. So you know I'm out here in San Diego with X just for the weekend, and remember I told you I was going to keep the same energy?"

"Yeah, what happened?" Jessica questioned getting into whatever Alexis was about to say. "This nigga is so mad! Niggas can't handle when you do to them what they did to you." She laughed. "Thomas and I have been having very consistent conversation and X is pitching a fit about his name popping up on my phone but he won't say that it's bothering him. Instead he's walking around with an attitude and shit."

Jessica shook her head, she thought it was dumb for Alexis to even play this little game with him. What was the point? "Who is Thomas?" She questioned.

Alexis smacked her teeth, "this dude I met at a bar. Nobody special, yet. He's actually really cool though."

Jessica nodded, "well be careful girl. I'd hate to have to pull my pregnant ass up because he acting a fool."

Alexis laughed, "Girl I ain't even worried but this is him now coming through the door! We'll talk later and I want to hear all about the lunch!" Jessica rolled her eyes at the mention of it. "Okay! Bye girl!"

Jessica sat her phone back down as she looked for something to watch on Netflix, she decided on You since everyone had been raving about it. She got comfortable as she got into the series.

—

It had now been hours since the lunch and Sofia and Mateo were at a pizza spot as they sat in a booth eating.

There wasn't much being said, and hadn't been too much said in terms of the situation since Mateo went off on her in the car. He broke the silence, "I'm going to drop you off and then stop by Jessica's."

"For what?" She questioned as she took a bite of her pizza.

"To talk, today went to total shit and I'm not going to be back this way until the baby comes probably. You know the season is about to start back up soon and workouts start on Monday."

"I thought you all had been working out."

"Yeah, we workout year round, but workouts for the season specifically start Monday. Come on Sofia, act like this shit isn't new to you."

She laughed a little. "Shut up." Her smile dropped as her thoughts took over, she looked up at him, taking a pepperoni of the pizza and placing it in her mouth. "When she has the baby how long do you plan on being out here?"

He chewed up his pizza before responding. "I don't know, it's a lot me and her haven't talked about."

Sofia nodded in understanding. He looked at her trying to gauge what she was feeling, but it went out the window as soon as he remember the look exchange her and Dwayne had at the lunch. "What was that shit with Dwayne?" He questioned as he wiped his hands and mouth and sat back in the booth.

She brought her eyebrows in as a look of confusion crossed her face. "What are you talking about?"

"The look you gave him when you were trying to make peace. It was more to that shit."

"Mateo you're tripping." She took a bite of the pizza that sat in front of her as her heartbeat quickened. She took her eyes off of him as she focused on the pizza.

He sat there staring at her, "you hiding shit now?" She looked up at him. "No Mateo. I seriously don't know what you're talking about." She knew at some point she needed to tell him but she couldn't, not yet, not now. It was embarrassing more than anything and something she desperately planned to leave in the past and in LA.

He didn't say anything as he decided to take her response with a grain of salt. She started a conversation on another topic as they finished up eating. "I think I'm going to start working at my cousin's shop part time again."

Mateo nodded, "I think that'll be good for you. Get you some more clients possibly."

Sofia agreed, she was a personal stylist she often styled people for special events and had even styled some pretty big names. It was something she enjoyed but it had definitely slowed down for her a bit as of lately, she was good with saving her money. But that was because she usually spent Mateo's. She didn't want him to think she was getting comfortable just sitting on her ass, even though she was. But she wasn't going to make herself look like that, not before the ring at least. She had a good heart and truly loved Mateo, but if one didn't have to work then why would they?

"Yeah, I received a good amount of my clientele from helping them pick out outfits there. And of course Marie said thank you again," she rolled her eyes as she smiled. Mateo had helped her cousin Marie get her shop off the ground, once she graduated he gave her some money to help get her business started and even got some models to promote it for her once she put the finishing touches on it. So her cousin was always thanking him when she could, it was because of him that it was so successful.

He laughed, "tell her she's said thank you enough! It was a gift. I'm just happy it's flourishing."

Sofia smiled, she had a good man. He was handsome, financially stable, and treated her and her family good. She couldn't lose him, and she didn't plan on losing him.

Now I have to know! Do you want to see Mateo and Sofia flourish?

Dwayne and Jessica?

Anybody want Jessica and Mateo together?
