Sofia stood in Xavier's foyer with her bags. Xavier had agreed to let her stay with him until she got her place. "Thank you again." She let out.

"It's all good." He responded as he turned around heading towards the stairs. "Follow me, I'll show you which room you can stay in, or let you choose I should say." He turned back around grabbing two of her bags.

She followed him up the stairs as he opened three room doors telling her to choose which one she wanted. Each room was spacious. She decided to go with the one closest to his. He sat her stuff down, "make yourself at home." With that he walked out the room heading back downstairs.

Sofia plopped down on the bed, thankful as ever for Xavier. She ended up falling asleep, waking up to the smell of food. She made her way downstairs as Xavier stood in the kitchen cooking. She smiled, she had no idea he could cook.

"You cook?" She questioned as he turned around quickly. "I didn't even hear you come in here. But a little something something, you hungry?"

Sofia nodded, "I could eat." Xavier smiled. "Good, the foods almost ready." Sofia took a seat at one of the chairs that was lined up across his island. She let out a low yawn. "What did you make?"

"Something simple. Steak, broccoli and mashed potatoes." Sofia laughed, "okay simple. Simple is spaghetti." Xavier laughed, "it's one in the same."

He pulled out two plates as he started to plate them. "Can you grab the wine out the refrigerator for me?" He asked. Sofia got up opening the refrigerator seeing a thousand different types of wine. "Your choice." He stated before she could even ask. She grabbed one and then asked where his wine glasses were and grabbed those two.

He finished making their plates setting them at two seats at the island. She used the wine opener that was out to open the wine and pour some in their glasses. "You've always liked your wine cold." She made known remembering from times they all came to his house.

He nodded. "Taste better to me." Sofia chuckled as she put the wine glasses in front of the food and kept the bottle close to where they would be sitting. They both sat down as they started to enjoy the meal.

They sat talking and reminiscing and they shared laughs. It died down as it got quiet for a moment. "I'm sorry if I ruined you and Mateo's friendship by trying to get you to help me get him back."

X shook his head. "Not even your fault, it is what it is at this point. I said my peace. I apologized to his girl."

"His girl? They're together for sure?" Sofia questioned. "I mean Jessica, I don't know what they're doing honestly. We don't talk. I just know he goes to bat for her."

Sofia nodded as she bit her lip. She was on her third glass of wine and she was feeling it. "Don't stress it. His loss. Everything happens for a reason."

Before Sofia could think about what she was doing she crashed her lips into Xavier's. Xavier kissed her back for a moment before pulling back. "You're drunk Sofia."

She ruffled her hair back. "But making conscience decisions. Why did you push me off to Mateo? Why didn't you try to date me?"

Xavier took a sip of his wine. "I thought you two would be a good match. And you two were. You could have said no, but you clearly saw something too."

Sofia just looked at him for a moment. He stood up grabbing their plates. Throwing away the remaining food on the plate before putting them in the sink. "I'll wash them." Sofia let out. "It's the least I can do."

Xavier didn't argue her down as he turned around grabbing his wine and finishing it. "Get some rest Sofia." He put his wine glass in the sink before walking by her and placing a kiss on her forehead. "Or watch some TV, you did just sleep for a few hours." He remembered.

She grabbed his hand kissing it, "thanks again." He nodded as he pulled his hand away from her walking to his room. He was questioning if her letting her stay was a bad idea.

"Wow, so he used to mess with your sister?" Alexis questioned with surprise.

Jessica nodded as she looked at Alexis through the FaceTime. "I would've never known." Alexis said. "Me either had he not mentioned it!" Jessica quickly responded back. "But off that fuck nigga. How are you? I miss you."

Alexis sighed as she leaned back. "I miss you too! I'll be booking a trip real soon! I promise. I need to see you and my little man." She smiled, pausing for a moment. "But I'm good. Real good. Remember the guy I texted you about?"

Jessica nodded slowly, she never knew whether Alexis was about to say something crazy about the person or not. Alexis smiled, "we've really been hitting it off good. You know I was skeptical cause he isn't what I usually go for. But he's really been making me happy, like I'm canceling on other guys even when me and him don't have anything planned because I like him that much. Isn't that crazy?"

Jessica smiled, "no it's not. But coming from you, hell yeah." She laughed. "I'm happy he's making you happy though, just don't jump in too deep too quick." Sometimes Alexis could quickly fall for a guy if he was doing all the right things, but at the same time she could cut her feelings off just as quickly. It was like a superpower of hers.

She sighed, "I know." Jessica heard a loud knock come through over the call as Alexis looked back. That big smile coming to her face, "that's him. We're going to watch a movie and cook together."

Jessica smiled at how excited she was. "Well I won't hold you! Enjoy yourself! Love you!"

"Love you too!" Alexis let out before quickly ending the call. Jessica locked her phone and sat it down as she looked over at Kaiden who was sleeping peacefully in his pack and play. She smiled as she looked at him, she couldn't believe he came from her some days.

She was deep in her thoughts before a knock came through pulling her out of it. She knew it was Mateo, though he had a key and had been staying there he respected that it was still her space.

She got up quickly heading to the door as he stood on the other side looking slightly stressed even though he looked like he had came from the gym. "You okay?" She questioned as he walked in. She closed and locked the door, turning to face him.

He sighed, "yeah I'm about to hop in the shower." He continued up the stairs not even looking her way. She knew something was bothering him.

She gave him time to shower and get comfortable and did the same for herself before she pushed the issue more. Plus she still had yet to tell him the news that X dropped on her regarding her sister.

He sat in the bed with Kaiden asleep in one arm and his phone in his other as he talked to someone. "No one was in my house right?" He paused waiting for a response. "Okay, and you locked up and put my alarm on? ... alright thank you." With that he hung up as Jessica sat beside him on the bed.

"Somebody try to break in or something?" She questioned trying to get to the bottom of his mood.

He shook his head no as he locked him phone and got up to put Kaiden in his bassinet. "What's up then?" She questioned. "You walked in like something was wrong and you seem to still feel a type of way about something."

"Just something from earlier." He stated with ease. "Okay, do you want to talk about it?" She questioned. He shook his head no. "Then do you want to lose the 'tude?"

He turned back around as he got back in the bed. "I don't have an attitude." His mood was starting to get on her nerves. It was clear as day something was bothering him and he wasn't acting like himself.

She rolled her eyes as she got comfortable in the bed. He definitely didn't miss the eye roll, but he wasn't in the mood to go back and forth with her. Come to think of it he hadn't really experienced her attitude like this, especially with something he felt was small and petty. How could she be mad he didn't want to talk about it? He had to ask.

"So you're upset because I don't want to talk about it?" He questioned as she had her back turned to him. "No, but I feel like you have a stank attitude. And that's annoying."

He laughed lowly. "I don't have an attitude at all. Just because I'm not acting how you want me to doesn't mean I have an attitude."

She leaned up, "it's not about you acting how I want you to. But you are definitely acting a way."

He shook his head, "alright Jess. You got it. Like I told you some shit went down earlier that bothered me. And I said I didn't want to talk about it. I'm not being rude to you or anything like that but you in a mood cause I'm in a mood? That's stupid."

"Whatever Mateo. You don't get it." And he didn't because the shit didn't make any sense. Instead of pushing it any further he got comfortable in the bed as he turned over realizing the light was on before he got too comfortable. "You need the light?" He questioned. As she let out a quick no with an attitude. He chuckled lowly as he got up to turn it off. He just wanted to sleep after the day's events, and that's exactly what what he was about to do.
