The car pulls up to the grand entrance of the palace. The gates are ornate, and the building itself is a stunning mix of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Guards stand at attention, and servants rush to take their bags. Darshil steps out first, offering a hand to Aarvi. She hesitates for a moment, then takes it, stepping out with a polite smile.

As they walk towards the main entrance, they are greeted by a tall, charming and imposing figure dressed in formal attire. It's Rakshit Singh Rajawat, the current king of Jaipur. Despite his cold reputation, he has a warm smile on his face as he approaches them.

Darshil! It's been too long, my friend. Rakshit said with a smile.

Indeed, Rakshit. It's good to see you. Darshil said with a smile

They embrace briefly, then Rakshit turns to Aarvi.

And you must be Aarvi. Welcome to Jaipur, and to my humble abode. I hope you find your stay here comfortable and enjoyable. Rakshit said with a hint of courtesy

Thank you, Your Highness. It's a pleasure to meet you. Aarvi said with a smile

Rakshit chuckles

Please, call me Rakshit. We’re friends here. Rakshit said

Aarvi nods, appreciating his effort to make her feel at ease. Rakshit leads them through the palace, which is even more magnificent on the inside. The halls are lined with intricate artwork, and the rooms are furnished with a blend of modern luxury and royal elegance.

As they walk, Rakshit speaks to Darshil, occasionally glancing at Aarvi with curiosity. Rakshit turns to Darshil.

Aarvi looks around in curiosity and happiness.

The palace's opulent interiors leaving Aarvi in awe. The walls are adorned with intricate frescoes, and the air is filled with the scent of fresh flowers. The grandeur and history of the palace are palpable, and Aarvi feels like she's stepped into a different world. As they reach the main hall, Rakshit leads them to a beautifully decorated seating area.

Servants move around discreetly, ensuring everything is perfect.

So, you finally decided to bring your beautiful wife to Jaipur. I must say, it's high time you showed her around. The city has so much to offer. Rakshit said

Yes, it was about time. And I couldn't think of a better host than you, Rakshit. Darshil said

Aarvi, how do you find Jaipur so far? Have you had a chance to explore the city yet? Rakshit asked

Not yet, but I'm looking forward to it. The palace itself is incredible. It's like stepping into a different era. Aarvi said

Jaipur has a rich history, and this palace is just a small part of it. I'll make sure you get a taste of everything the city has to offer. Rakshit said

Darshil watches the exchange closely, noting the polite and respectful manner in which Rakshit treats Aarvi. He's aware of Rakshit's reputation as a ruthless businessman and leader, much like his own, but he also knows that Rakshit has a charming side, especially when it comes to hospitality.

I appreciate your hospitality, Rakshit. And I think Aarvi is going to love exploring the city. Darshil said

Rakshit smiles and leans back in his chair, observing the couple with a thoughtful expression. He knows about Darshil's obsessive nature and the rumors surrounding their marriage. However, he also sees the potential for change and growth in their relationship.

I'm sure she will. And if there's anything you both need during your stay, don't hesitate to ask. Consider this palace your home. I will introduce to all my family members also. Rakshit said

Darshil, Aarvi, allow me to introduce my family. This is my mother, Rajmata Rajeshwari Singh Rajawat. Rakshit said

Rajmata Rajeshwari Singh Rajawat, a regal woman with an air of grace and authority, nods warmly.

Aarvi smiles and touches her feet and she blessed her.

Welcome to our home. It’s a pleasure to have you here. Rajmata said

Thank you, Rajmata. It’s an honor to be here. Aarvi said with a polite smile.

And this is my younger sister, Princess Anshika Singh Rajawat. Rakshit said

Princess Anshika, a young woman in her twenties with a lively demeanor, steps forward.

It’s so nice to meet you both. I’ve heard a lot about you. Anshika said

Thank you, Anshika. It’s a pleasure. Aarvi said

What about your aunt and brothers? Darshil asked

Yes..... They are representing the Rajawat's to a wedding in Udaipur. Rakshit said

Aarvi, why don't you relax a bit. Rajmata said

Yes, why not. Darshil said

All of them were so happy to meet Aarvi, especially Anshika.

Anshika personally shows them to their suite, a luxurious room with a breathtaking view of the city. The room is decorated in a blend of traditional and modern styles, with rich fabrics and intricate designs.

Aarvi deserves a break. We've both been so caught up in our routines. You can relax here for sometime, meanwhile I and Rakshit can have some buisness conversation. Darshil said

Aarvi nods and sits in the room, touched by his words, though she remains guarded. She's unsure of how to interpret his sudden kindness. The truth is, Darshil's presence is still intimidating, but she can't deny that this trip, despite its surprises, is a dream come true for her.

Darshil and Rakshit walks through the lawn and sits there.

Servants serves them soft drinks and Rakshit takes a sip of his drink.

So, when is Daksh arriving? Darshil asked

Tomorrow morning. And that's why, I have organised a welcome party for all of you tomorrow. Rakshit said

That's amazing.....But you didn't need to do it. Darshil said

It's important, Aarvi will also enjoy this. Rakshit said

Yes. When are ypu planning to get married? Darshil asked

Bro, I am not in love with any special girl. Rakshit said

Darshil raises an eyebrow.

Are you sure? Darshil asked

Rakshit looks away.

I don't have a tragic love story like you. Rakshit said

What's tragic about it, she is my wife. Darshil said

Does she loves you? Rakshit asked

Honesty..... No, She says she hates me. Darshil said

Then won't she run away from you if she hates you? Rakshit asked

I won't let her run away. Darshil said

But assume it, What if she leaves you someday? Rakshit asked

Darshil scoffs

I will destroy myself. That day will be the end of Darshil Rajvanshi. Darshil said

Wow..... You are really in love. I never expected that Darshil Rajvanshi will fall in love. Rakshit said

Darshil smiles

As the evening progresses, they discuss the itinerary for the next few days, which includes visits to historic sites, cultural events, and, of course, some time to finalize business deals.

Darshil walks in his room after sometime and Aarvi looks at him.

Where were you? Aarvi asked

Just busy in gossips. Darshil said

You shouldn't have left me alone for such a long period of time. Aarvi said making Darshil surprised

Really? Darshil asked

Aarvi looks away and hesitates for a moment.

I mean, the place..... people here are new to me. I.... will be bored. Aarvi said

O.... Yes, you are right. Darshil said with a smile.

Okay..... We have to go for dinner in an hour. Darshil said

Aarvi nods.

After sometime, Aarvi and Darshil arrive at the dining hall, escorted by a servant. Rakshit is already there, standing with his family.

The grand dining hall of the palace is a marvel of opulence, adorned with crystal chandeliers, gilded mirrors, and long, polished tables set with fine china and silverware. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a soft golden glow from the candlelight. Servants move quietly, ensuring everything is perfect for the evening's dinner.

They all take their seats at the long dining table. Aarvi is seated between Darshil and Anshika , while Rakshit sits at the head of the table, with Rajmata beside him. The dinner begins with an array of traditional Rajasthani dishes, beautifully presented and rich in flavors.

Aarvi, I hope you enjoy the food. We’ve prepared some of our traditional dishes tonight. Rajmata said with a smile

It looks amazing. I’ve always wanted to try authentic Rajasthani cuisine. Aarvi said, feeling overwhelming

As they start eating, the conversation flows easily, with Rakshit and Anshika taking the lead in engaging their guests. Aarvi finds herself enjoying the lively atmosphere and the delicious food.

Aarvi, have you had a chance to explore Jaipur yet? Anshika asked

Not yet. We just arrived today. But I’m really looking forward to it. There’s so much history and culture here. Aarvi said

I’d love to show you around if you’re interested. There are so many hidden gems in the city that tourists often miss. Anshika said

I’d love that. Thank you, Anshika. Aarvi said

Darshil watches the interaction, pleased to see Aarvi engaging with Rakshit’s family. He feels really happy to see Aarvi happy and her smile is making his heart bloom. He turns to Rakshit, discussing their upcoming business plans.

So, Rakshit, how are the preparations for the business summit coming along? Darshil asked

Everything is on track. We’ll have a few key meetings over the next couple of days. I’m confident it will be a successful venture for both of us. Rakshit said, in a serious voice.

I have no doubt about that. Your reputation precedes you. Darshil said

Rakshit smiles, then shifts the conversation back to Aarvi.

Aarvi, while Darshil and I are tied up with business meetings, I hope you’ll take the time to explore the city. Anshika can be your guide, and we’ll arrange for anything you need. Rakshit said

Thank you, Rakshit. That sounds wonderful. Aarvi said with a smile.

As the dinner progresses, Aarvi feels more at ease. Rakshit’s family is welcoming, and their genuine hospitality begins to melt some of her apprehensions. The conversation turns to lighter topics, with Anshika sharing amusing anecdotes about growing up in the palace, making everyone laugh.

And then there was the time Rakshit tried to ride an elephant in the courtyard. It didn’t go as planned, did it, brother? Anshika said while laughing

Rakshit chuckles.

Let’s just say it was a learning experience. Rakshit said

Aarvi laughs, enjoying the camaraderie and the light-hearted banter. Darshil, though still reserved, feels a sense of relief seeing Aarvi happy and relaxed. He  was lost in her laughter for some moments. He felt so drawn in her eyes and smile like he was in heaven. He realized that her smile and laughter are his real peace. He felt like, he can live without her love but not without seeing her happy.

It’s good to see everyone enjoying themselves. This palace has seen many gatherings, but it’s always special when we have friends here. Rajmata said with a smile

We’re grateful for your hospitality, Rajmata. It means a lot to us. Darshil said

As the dinner comes to an end, Rakshit rises, raising his glass for a toast.

After the dinner, Darshil and Aarvi return to their suite. The opulent room is dimly lit, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. Aarvi takes a deep breath, still in awe of the palace's grandeur, while Darshil watches her, a mix of emotions in his eyes.

She changed into a comfortable nightgown and stepped out of the bathroom, only to find Darshil standing by the large, ornate bed, clearly thinking about their sleeping arrangements. The suite, luxurious as it was, lacked a separate couch or extra bed.

Aarvi's heart skips a beat. They've never shared a bed before, and the prospect makes her nervous. Darshil, sensing her discomfort, tries to lighten the mood.

Aarvi couldn't help but roll her eyes at his nonchalant tone.

You know what I mean. It's just... there's no couch. Aarvi said

Darshil raises an eyebrow and looked at her.

Would you prefer the floor? I could arrange for a royal rug. Darshil asked sarcastically

Aarvi shakes her head, a small smile playing on her lips.

Very funny. I suppose we can manage for one night. Aarvi said

Just one night? We have five days here, remember? Darshil said with a teasing smile.

Aarvi turns to face him, searching his eyes. For a moment, she sees a glimpse of the man he could be, the man she might come to care for.

They stand in silence for a moment, the city lights twinkling in the distance. Finally, Darshil breaks the silence, trying to keep the mood light.

So, where am I gonna sleep, Hazel? Darshil asked

Aarvi hesitates for a moment.

We.... We can share the bed. Aarvi said

Really? Darshil asked in surprise

Yes.... It's just 4 nights, we can adjust. Aarvi said

Aapko mere kareeb sone me koi aitraz nahi hai? Darshil asked

Aarvi smirks.

Bed se zyada to aap, khade khade mere kareeb aa jate hai. Aarvi said

Darshil laughs, making Aarvi surprised, she hasn't seen him laughing all through these 1 month of their wedding

But now, as she listens to his laughter, she feels a sense of releif, but she don't know why.

Alright, so how do we do this? Do you want the left side or the right side of the bed? Darshil asked

Aarvi laughs softly, a genuine sound that makes Darshil's heart swell.

I don't know. Which side do you think is safer? Aarvi said, in a teasing tone.

Darshil grins.

Definitely the left side. It's closer to the door in case you need to make a quick escape. Darshil said

Good to know..... Aarvi said with a smile

Shall we? Darshil asked

Just remember, I’m a light sleeper. One wrong move and you might find yourself on the floor. Aarvi said

Darshil smirks

Noted. I’ll stay within my boundaries, Your Majesty. Darshil said

Aarvi laughs softly, shaking her head. They both climb into bed, each staying on their respective sides and lie down making distant. The atmosphere is surprisingly comfortable, a stark contrast to the tension that usually surrounds them.

I hope this isn't your plan. Aarvi said

Not at all bit it's amazing feeling. I think, I am starting with small steps to earn you. Darshil said

Small steps, huh? Like sharing a bed without you taking over the whole space? Aarvi said sarcastically

Darshil laughs, rolling onto his back.

I don't bite, you know. Unless you want me to. Darshil said

Aarvi can't help but laugh at his attempt at humor. It's rare to see this side of him, and it catches her off guard.

Thanks for the warning. I'll keep that in mind. Aarvi said

Darshil smiles, pleased to see her laugh.

You know, if this was a movie, this would be the part where we argue over who gets which side of the bed. Darshil said

And then we’d build a pillow wall down the middle to keep our territories separate. Aarvi said

Darshil laughs, a genuine, relaxed sound that surprises Aarvi. She finds herself smiling despite her reservations.

And, I don't snore, at least no one has complained yet. Darshil said

So, any ground rules for this? Like, no stealing the covers? Aarvi said with a teasing smile.

Definitely. And no kicking. I bruise easily. Darshil said

Deal! Aarvi said

They both get under the covers, each staying on their side of the bed. The room is quiet, save for the distant sounds of the city outside. As they lie there, side by side, the silence feels less daunting, filled instead with the possibility of understanding and connection.

Goodnight, Hazel. Darshil said with a smile

Aarvi looks at him, a strange feeling beating in her heart.

Good night.... Darshil. Aarvi said

Darshil smiles, feeling her presence beside him was like a heaven to him.

This feeling was overwhelming, he was feeling himself in heaven, as he closes his eyes after taking some more glimpse of Aarvi.

The night passes with an unexpected sense of peace, a small step towards bridging the gap between them. As they drift off to sleep, the palace stands as a silent witness to this moment of tentative reconciliation.
