Inside the dimly lit hotel suite, tension filled the air. Darshil sat across from Emily, his cold, piercing eyes locked on her.
Shiv stood by the door, arms crossed, his face hard as stone, silently watching the interaction unfold.
Without warning, he grabbed Emily by her hair, yanking her head back sharply as his other hand gripped her chin.
You're going to tell me everything about your boss's plans, or I'll make you regret every second of this night. Darshil said as he removed the cloth from her mouth.
You think you can scare me? I know men like you. Strong, powerful... but easily distracted. Emily said in anger.
Darshil's eyes darkened as he tightened his grip on her hair. Just as he was about to respond, his phone rang. He looked down at it, seeing one of his trusted men's name on the screen. His expression shifted, and he released Emily with a shove.
Watch her. Darshil said to Shiv
Shiv nodded and stepped closer to Emily, making sure she couldn't pull any tricks. Darshil moved to the side, pressing the phone to his ear.
What is it? Darshil asked
Boss, we've got a serious situation. Siya's planning to take her revenge tonight. We've been tracking her, and it looks like she's going after Mrs. Rajvanshi. She could attack anytime. The man said
Darshil's eyes widened slightly, his heart skipping a beat. His mind raced. Siya, Aarvi's own sister, was capable of anything in her quest for revenge. His grip on the phone tightened.
Where is she now? Have you tracked her? Darshil asked
We're on her tail, but she's moving fast. It's unclear where she'll strike, but it's happening tonight, Boss. Mrs. Rajvanshi is in danger. The man said
Darshil's chest tightened with anxiety. The thought of Aarvi being in harm's way sent a chill down his spine. He glanced back at Shiv, who immediately noticed the shift in Darshil's expression.
Keep eyes on her. Don't let her get close to Aarvi. Darshil said and he hung up the call.
He stood there, still gripping his phone, his mind racing. He had just received a call from one of his informants-Siya was planning something dangerous, something potentially life-threatening for Aarvi. His heart clenched with worry, an unfamiliar feeling for someone like him. Aarvi, despite everything, was his wife, and no harm would come to her, not on his watch.
Just as he was about to dial Aarvi's number, a sudden noise came from the corridor outside-a sharp sound, like glass shattering.
What the hell was that? Darshil murmurs
He moved quickly to the door, yanking it open with urgency, and there, standing frozen in the hallway, was Aarvi. Her face was pale, her eyes wide with a mixture of heartbreak and betrayal. A broken vase lay in pieces by her feet, but neither of them acknowledged it.
Darshil's heart dropped as he realized what must have happened-she had heard something, misunderstood, and now she thought the worst of him.
Hazel..... Darshil said
Aarvi!! That's what my name is. Aarvi said, her voice was filled with anger and pain
Litsen to me.... There is a misunderstanding. Darshil said
Whatever I've seen and heard is enough. Aarvi said, tears rolling down her eyes
Darshil took a step forward but before he could say anything, Aarvi turned and ran, her footsteps echoing down the corridor.
Hazel! Wait! It's not what you think! Darshil shouted
But she didn't stop. She couldn't. Tears blurred her vision as she pushed through the hotel's lobby, her chest tight with the pain of betrayal. She couldn't breathe, couldn't think. All she knew was that she had to get away from him, from everything.
Darshil cursed under his breath, knowing she wouldn't listen to him in her current state. He quickly turned back to Shiv, who stood silent in the room, still holding the gagged and restrained Emily.
Deal with her. Make sure she doesn't get away. Darshil said
Shiv nodded, his expression calm but deadly. Darshil wasted no more time and ran after Aarvi.
Aarvi jumped into her car, her hands trembling as she fumbled with the keys. Her mind was a whirlwind of emotions-anger, betrayal, and heartbreak. The image of Darshil with that woman, the sounds she had heard, replayed in her head, over and over again. She started the car and sped off into the dark streets, not caring where she was going, as long as it was far away from him.
Behind her, Darshil quickly got into his own car and took off in pursuit. He tried calling her repeatedly, but Aarvi didn't pick up. The phone rang and rang, unanswered, as she drove blindly through the city, tears streaming down her face.
Damn it, Hazel, answer the phone! Darshil murmurs
As he sped through the streets, weaving through traffic, he received another call. It was one of his men.
Boss, it's bad. We just found out-Poorva's hired a truck, planning to cause an accident for Aarvi. It's heading her way! The man said
Darshil's grip tightened on the steering wheel, his heart pounding in his chest.
What? When? Darshil asked fiercely
Now, boss. It's happening tonight! The man said
Darshil's blood ran cold. He hung up the call and looked ahead, his eyes locking on Aarvi's car, just visible in the distance. His heart thundered in his chest as he pressed down on the accelerator.
I'm not letting anything happen to her. Darshil said and he dropped a messege in his special group and focused on following Aarvi.
Aarvi drove recklessly, the tears in her eyes blurring her vision, her mind clouded by emotions. She barely noticed the truck coming from the opposite direction, speeding dangerously toward her. All she could think about was the betrayal, the pain.
But Darshil saw it-the truck barreling down the road, aimed straight at Aarvi's car.
No! Darshil thinks
With a surge of adrenaline, he floored the gas pedal, pushing his car to its limits. He swerved sharply, positioning his car at just the right angle, putting himself directly between Aarvi's car and the oncoming truck.
At that moment, he took a glance at Aarvi through the rearview mirror, his eyes filled with both desperation and something else-a silent, unspoken goodbye. He knew what was about to happen, and he accepted it. His only thought was to save her.
As long as she's safe...I love you Hazel. Darshil said
The truck was too close, too fast. It smashed into Darshil's car with a deafening crash. Metal crunched, glass shattered, and in a single moment, the world seemed to freeze. Darshil's car was crushed under the impact, spinning out of control and slamming into the side of the road.
Aarvi slammed on the brakes, her car screeching to a halt as the horrific scene unfolded in front of her. Her breath caught in her throat, her heart stopping as she realized what had just happened. As the truck driver saw he had harmed the wrong car, he got scared and quickly took a u- turns the speed in the opposite direction.
Darshil..... Aarvi whisperes, horrified.
She stumbled out of her car, her legs weak, barely able to hold her weight as she ran toward the wreckage. Smoke billowed from the twisted metal of Darshil's car, the truck driver already fleeing the scene. But Aarvi couldn't think about anything else but him-her husband, who had just thrown himself into the path of death to save her.
Tears streamed down her face as she reached the wreckage. She could barely see Darshil through the shattered glass, but he was there, slumped over the steering wheel, blood trickling down his face.
Darshil! No! No! Aarvi screamed
She pulled at the door, but it was stuck, her hands trembling as she tried to open it. Panic gripped her as she screamed for help, her voice breaking.
In that moment, everything clicked into place. The way Darshil followed her and had positioned his car between her and the truck-he knew about this. He sacrificed himself to save her.
Aarvi's breath came in ragged gasps as she stared at the wreckage before her, Darshil's body slumped against the steering wheel. Her mind raced, her heart pounding so hard it felt like it would burst out of her chest. She couldn't think, couldn't process what had just happened, but one thought overpowered everything else: She had to get him out.
Her hands trembled as she pulled at the twisted car door, not caring about the sharp glass shards embedded in the frame. As she tugged harder, the broken glass cut into her palms and wrists, but the pain didn't even register. Her hands were soon drenched in blood, but all she could focus on was Darshil.
Darshil, please... wake up... please, stay with me! Aarvi said desperately
Tears streamed down her face as she pulled again, harder, the car door refusing to budge. The jagged metal sliced deeper into her skin, but she didn't stop. She wouldn't stop. Her body was running on pure adrenaline, her mind clouded with panic and desperation.
You can't leave me like this... you can't! Aarvi said through sobbing.
The world around her seemed to blur as she cried out for help, her voice breaking with each scream. The road was empty, no one to hear her pleas, no one to help.
But then, a sleek black car screeched to a halt in front of the wreckage, its headlights casting long shadows over the scene. The door opened, and from the vehicle emerged a tall figure-Daksh. Aarvi's heart leapt as she saw him, a glimmer of hope piercing through her panic. She knew Daksh would help, he had to.
Daksh... please, help him. He saved me... he- Aarvi said being frantic and breathless.
Daksh nodded as he looked at Darshil's car, his eyes filled with concern for his friend.
Without a word, he rushed to Darshil's car, his men close behind. They worked swiftly, pulling open the crumpled door with practiced efficiency. Aarvi stepped back, her body shaking, as she watched them carefully extract Darshil from the wreckage.
Daksh glanced at her, his voice steady but urgent.
Aarvi, get in the car. We're taking him to the hospital. Daksh said
Aarvi nodded, barely able to breathe as she stumbled toward the car. Her hands, dripping with blood, trembled as she reached for the door handle, and she slid inside beside Darshil's unconscious body. His face was pale, his breathing shallow, and her heart clenched at the sight of him.
The car sped through the night, its engine roaring as they raced against time. Aarvi sat silently beside Darshil, her hands shaking in her lap, her mind consumed by fear and guilt. She couldn't stop the tears, couldn't stop her heart from breaking all over again.
As they reached the hospital, Darshil was rushed to the ICU. The doctors moved quickly, wheeling him inside, while Aarvi stood frozen in the hallway, her eyes wide with terror. Her hands, still dripping with her own and Darshil's blood, hung limply at her sides.
Daksh walked over to her, his usual stoic demeanor cracking for a brief moment as he saw her state.
Aarvi, sit down. Let the doctors work. Daksh said in a low and serious voice
Aarvi shook her head, tears spilling down her cheeks.
No... no, I can't. I can't just sit here. He... he did this to save me. Aarvi said, choking on her words
Her voice broke, and she collapsed onto the chair, sobbing uncontrollably. Daksh crouched down beside her, his expression softening as he spoke.
He'll make it, Aarvi. Darshil's strong. He's been through worse, and he'll pull through this too. Daksh said calmly
But Aarvi wasn't listening. Her mind was replaying every single moment-
She had believed Darshil had betrayed her, and yet here he was, fighting for his life because he had chosen to save hers.
I thought he... I thought he didn't care. I thought he was with someone else. But he-he did this for me. Aarvi whisperers
She looked down at her blood-stained hands, her voice breaking.
Aarvi sat on a cold metal chair outside the ICU, her eyes hollow, hands still stained with blood. The guilt was suffocating her, her mind plagued with what she had witnessed and how she had doubted Darshil. Every second she replayed that moment-his car crashing into hers, sacrificing himself to save her, while she had thought he was cheating. Tears slipped silently down her cheeks, her chest tightening with regret.
She was startled when she felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking up, she saw Daksh standing there, his face calm yet serious.
I've informed Shiv. He is arriving with your family. Daksh said
Daksh, how did you reach there? Aarvi asked
Darshil sent me the location. He knew this was going to happen. Daksh said
It's all my fault, Daksh. I doubted him... I thought- Aarvi said but Daksh cut her off
Darshil was never with Emily the way you're thinking. I understand why you might have misunderstood, but you need to hear the truth. Daksh said
Aarvi blinked in confusion, her eyes searching his for answers.
But I heard her... the screams... the moans... I thought... Aarvi said
Daksh sighed, his voice measured.
Emily is an agent working for the rivals of the Italian Mafia. She's been under our radar for a while now. Tonight, Darshil and Shiv were meeting her to extract information, to make her talk about their plans. I was supposed to join them later, but something urgent came up on our end. Daksh said
Aarvi's heart pounded harder, her mind spinning.
But how is Darshil related to Itlian Mafia? Aarvi asked
Because he himself is the boss. The most powerful man of the entire mafia gang is Darshil Rajvanshi. Daksh said
Aarvi gasped, she was completely speechless, she didn't had any words to say anything.
Even Darshil's family don't know about all this. Because this is really dangerous. Last night, it was me who called Darshil last night. We got intel about something dangerous happening in our territory, and we needed to handle it immediately. That's why Darshil left suddenly, in the middle of the night, without informing anyone, and all through the day he was with me. It wasn't what you thought. Daksh said
Aarvi's lips trembled, her voice shaky.
But... the way he... Emily... Aarvi said
Darshil was cold toward her because she was a threat. He was trying to get information out of her, nothing more. Not only Emily, he never let any girl come close to him. He has already claimed himself as yours. Shiv was in the room the entire time. You misunderstood what you heard, Aarvi. It wasn't what it seemed. Daksh said
Aarvi's face crumpled as realization hit her. She shook her head, her tears flowing freely.
I'm so stupid... I didn't trust him, and now look what's happened. He did all this for me. I was so blinded by doubt... I let my emotions cloud everything. Aarvi said
Daksh took a deep breath, his voice softening further.
There's something else you should know. Before I could arrive, Darshil dropped a message in our secret group. He said he was about to do something dangerous, and if anything happened to him, we were to tell you the truth-that he never cheated on you, and he could never do that. Daksh said
Aarvi gasped, her body trembling as she collapsed into herself, unable to handle the weight of her guilt.
He knew... He knew I didn't trust him, and yet he... he still risked his life to save mine. Aarvi said
Darshil loves you, Aarvi. He always has. No matter what, you were his priority, and tonight , he proved it again. Daksh said
Aarvi cursed herself, burying her face in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably.
I don't deserve him... I don't... How could I have doubted him? But how does he know about this accident? Aarvi said
Darshil's men always had their eye on on Siya. This accident was planned by Siya for you, but as soon as Darshil got this information, he did what he could.... Daksh said
Aarvi's eyes widened in shock.
SIYA???? I won't spare her. Darshil....He was trying to protect me, and I didn't see it. I didn't trust him. Aarvi said while sobbing.
None of that matters now, Aarvi. What matters is that you're safe. Darshil did what he had to do to protect you, and now it's time for him to fight for himself. Daksh said
Aarvi shook her head, her tears blurring her vision.
What if he doesn't make it? What if... what if I never get the chance to tell him that I was wrong? That I... Aarvi said, her voice brocken.
She couldn't finish the sentence, the words too painful to say out loud.
He knows, Aarvi. Darshil might not say it, but he knows. And if there's one thing I've learned about him, it's that he doesn't give up easily. He won't leave you. Daksh said
Just then, the hospital doors swung open, and in walked Shiv, followed by Poorva, Ruhi, and Nandini Ji. The moment they saw Aarvi sitting there, her hands stained with blood, the look on their faces turned to one of sheer terror. Poorva rushed forward, her eyes wide with fear.
Aarvi! What happened? Is Darshil okay? Nandini ji asked
Aarvi's breath hitched as she looked up, her face streaked with tears. She stood up shakily, her voice weak but filled with guilt.
Dadi, Darshil's car had an accident. A truck hit his car. Doctors are working , don't worry, he will be alright soon. Daksh said
Nandini ji's eyes welled up with tears.
My Darshil.... May god bless my child. If anything happens to him, I won't be able to be alive anymore. Nandini ji said, tears flooding from her eyes.
It's my fault. All of this is my fault... Darshil... he did this to save me. I am sorry dadi. I am the reason for Darshil's condition. Aarvi said
Nandini Ji gasped, her hand flying to her mouth as she stepped forward, her eyes filling with tears.
No dadi. It wasn't Aarvi's fault. Darshil just tried to save her and before he could react anymore, the truck hit his car. Daksh said
Aarvi, don't take the blames on you. It was not your fault beta. Nandini ji said and hugged Aarvi.
Before anyone could say anything, the doctor arrived.
Just then, the doctor emerged from the ICU, his expression serious. Aarvi immediately stepped forward, her heart pounding in her ears. Poorva, Nandini Ji, and the others gathered around him, their faces etched with worry.
I need to speak to you all about Darshil's condition. Doctor said
Aarvi's breath hitched as she grasped her palms tightly together, already fearing the worst.
The doctor looked at Aarvi, his eyes filled with a kind of empathy that made her stomach sink even further. He took a deep breath before speaking, choosing his words carefully.
The patients has sustained very serious injuries, particularly to his head. The impact of the accident caused severe trauma to his brain, and right now, his condition is critical. We are doing everything we can, but I need to be honest with you... there's only a 1% chance that we can save him. Doctor said
