Poorva was still frozen by the kiss, she kept looking in Shiv's eyes, her mind spinning with a whirlwind of emotions.
Why did you do it Shiv? Why were you so jealous of Rohan? Poorva asked
Shiv's gaze softened, though his possessiveness hadn't completely faded.
I had to. You don't understand how much I can't stand the thought of someone else touching you. You're not just someone I care about, Poorva. You mean everything to me. Shiv said
Poorva's breath caught in her throat. She hadn't expected such a direct confession, especially not after the intensity of the kiss.
Shiv.... Do you love me? Poorva asked
More than anyone can ever love someone. I have loved you so much, more than words could ever explain, more than anything in the world.
I don't care if I look possessive or overprotective. I don't care if it scares you or anyone else. But when it comes to you, I'm not holding back. You're mine, Poorva. Iâve wanted you for longer than you know. And Iâm done pretending. Shiv said
Poorva stood still, her heart racing as Shivâs words echoed in her mind. The realization hit her like a waveâShiv loved her. He wasnât just being protective, he wasnât just pretending anymore.
With trembling hands, she reached up and cupped his face gently. Shivâs eyes softened as he looked at her, surprise flickering across his features.
Before he could say anything, she leaned in and kissed him, softly at first, then deeper and passionately as emotions poured outâfeelings she had been ignoring, hiding, but now couldnât deny. Shiv wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close, returning the kiss with all the love and passion he had kept bottled inside for so long.
When they finally pulled away, both breathless, Poorva rested her forehead against his.
I love you too Shiv. I didnât realize it before, but I love you. Poorva confessed, her voice steady now, the truth finally out in the open.
Shiv smiled, his hands gently holding her waist.
Iâve been waiting to hear that for a long time Shiv said
They hugged each other tightly, the world around them fading away as they stood there, wrapped in each otherâs embrace, no words needed to express what they both felt.
After a while, Shiv walked Poorva to his car and drove her home. As they reached her house, Shiv looked at her with a soft smile.
Good night Poorva.... I'll miss you, like always. Shiv said
Poorva smiled.
But this time, I'll miss you too. Poorva said
With one last glance, Poorva stepped out of the car, watching as Shiv drove away, knowing everything between them had changedâfor the better.

It had been a few days since Darshil returned home, and today marked a significant moment. His body had grown stronger, the once agonizing wounds now mere memories wrapped in fading scars. He stood in front of the mirror in their bedroom, wearing his crisp white shirt and suit pants, feeling like his old self. His hand fumbled with his tie when Aarvi walked in, holding a tray of tea.
She paused as she saw him struggling with the tie, her lips curling into a small smile. This was the first time in days that Darshil was stepping out for work. A sense of pride welled up in her, even as her heart clenched at the thought of him pushing himself too hard too soon.
Youâve fought battles, but it seems the tie is still a worthy opponent. Aarvi said
Darshil chuckled, his eyes meeting hers in the mirror. He turned around to face her, holding the tie up in surrender.
Maybe because the tie knows Iâd rather have your hands handle it. Darshil said
Aarvi raised an eyebrow, but the warmth in her eyes gave her away. She set the tray aside and stepped closer, taking the tie from his hands and wrapping it around his collar. As she began knotting it, Darshil watched her closely, admiring the way her fingers moved with grace, even in such a simple task.
There was a silence, a comfortable one, filled only with the sound of her tying the knot. She avoided his gaze, her eyes focused on the tie, as if hiding something in her heart. Darshil could feel it. He softly brushed a hair strand from her face and tugged it behind her ear.
Your beauty is beyond imagination. Darshil said making Aarvi's heart race even faster. She blushed bit didn't said anything.
Stop flirting..... Let me focus on your tie. Aarvi said with a smile
You know, Hazel, this tie isnât the only thing youâre tying me to. Darshil said
Aarvi's fingers froze for a moment before she looked up at him, her breath catching slightly. There was something in his eyesâsomething deeper than just the playful remark. She quickly finished the knot and stepped back, her hands retreating to her sides.
Well, Iâm making sure you look good for your grand return to the office. You wouldnât want everyone to see their boss looking less than perfect, right? Aarvi said trying to brush the topic lightly.
Darshil's gaze softened, and he stepped closer, tilting her chin up with his finger. His voice dropped, almost a whisper.
I don't care what they think. But what about you? I want to know whatâs in your heart, Hazel? Darshil said
Aarviâs heart raced, but she kept her expression neutral, hiding the torrent of emotions that threatened to surface. She smiled faintly, stepping away, picking up the tea tray.
Youâre going to be late. Letâs not start the day with unnecessary questions. Aarvi said
Darshil let out a small sigh, knowing she was still keeping her guard up. But today wasnât the day to push her. There was time. Heâd wait, as long as it took.
After sometime, Darshil descended the stairs to the dining room, where the family was gathered for breakfast. Nandini ji, Poorva, Ruhi, and even Shiv had joined in. The room was filled with the warm aroma of fresh parathas, tea, and laughter. As soon as Darshil appeared, all eyes turned to him, smiles widening.
Look at you, back in action. It feels like the house is complete again. Nandini ji said while smiling proudly
Yes, finally, the boss man is back! But you better not push yourself too hard. Poorva said
Now whoâs going to run the business if I donât? Or are you volunteering, Poorva? Darshil asked in a teasing tone.
Everyone chuckled, and Poorva shook her head with mock horror.
I think Iâll leave that to you. Iâm better at bossing Ruhi around than an entire company. Poorva said
Ruhi, who was busy with her cereal, piped up.
Hey! Iâm not that easy to boss around! Ruhi said
The room erupted in laughter, lightening the mood even further. Darshil took a seat next to Nandini ji, who patted his arm gently.
Itâs good to see you up and about, beta. But remember, weâre more concerned about your health than anything else. Youâve already given us a scare, donât do it again. Nandini ji said
I know, dadi. Iâm not planning on getting into trouble again anytime soon. But the business needs attention, and Shivâs done more than enough in my absence. I owe him. Darshil said
Shiv shook his head with a smile.
Donât mention it. Youâve done plenty for me over the years. This was nothing. Shiv said and took a glance at Poorva
Still, thank you. And I hear you and Daksh took good care of Aarvi while I was out of commission. That means more to me than anything else. Darshil said
Aarvi, who had just brought over another batch of parathas, overheard the comment and felt her cheeks warm. She quickly busied herself with serving everyone, avoiding Darshilâs gaze.
As they sat together, eating breakfast, there was a sense of peace in the air, a feeling of normalcy that had been missing for a while. Darshil looked around at his family, grateful for their support and love.
After breakfast, Darshil stood up, ready to head out. He glanced back at Aarvi, who was clearing the table.
Donât worry. Iâll be back before you know it. Try not to miss me too much. Darshil said
Aarvi glanced up at him, her lips curving into a small smile.
Just take care of yourself. Aarvi said
Darshil winked at her before heading out the door. As he left, Aarvi watched him go, her heart heavy with unspoken feelings. On the other side, Poorva saw Shiv walking by Darshil's side. He smiled warmly as he took a sight of her before leaving.
Darshil arrived at his office, greeted by his staff with smiles and warm welcomes. He hadnât been gone long, but the weight of his absence had been felt by everyone. As he walked through the familiar halls, he felt a surge of energyâthis was his domain, his world.
Shiv was waiting for him in the office, files stacked on the desk.
Ready to dive back in? Shiv asked
More than ready. Darshil said
He sat at his desk, feeling a sense of purpose again as he opened the first file. As the day progressed, Darshil found himself immersed in work, his mind sharp and focused. The weight of his injuries no longer held him back.
It had been a long day at work for Darshil, but as he entered the house, his mind was already thinking of Aarvi. After the time spent healing, he was back in the routine, but something about the quietness of the home as he walked in struck him as unusual. Normally, Aarvi would be waiting for him, or at least bustling about with something. Today, however, the house felt unusually still. He met Nandini ji and Ruhi downstairs and they told him that Aarvi is in her room.
Darshil climbed the stairs to their bedroom, quietly opening the door. He paused as he saw Aarvi lying on the bed, her eyes shut tightly, her hand clutching her stomach. Her face was pale, and beads of sweat lined her forehead. His heart sank instantly. He rushed towards her and softly kneel beside the bed.
Hazel? Whatâs wrong? Are you okay? Darshil asked
Aarvi opened her eyes briefly, her face contorted in pain. She tried to sit up, but the discomfort made her wince.
Itâs⦠just my periods. The cramps are really bad today. Aarvi said, her voice weak
Darshil frowned, concerned. He had never seen her like this before. Though he didnât know much about periods, he understood enough to realize that she was in considerable pain. He sat on the edge of the bed, brushing the hair away from her face gently.
Why didnât you tell me? Youâve been like this all day? Darshil asked
Aarvi tried to wave him off, offering a faint smile.
I didnât want to bother you. You just got back to work, and I didnât think it would be this bad. Aarvi said
Darshil's heart ached at her words. Without another word, he kissed her forehead softly, determination flooding his mind. If there was anything he could do to make her feel better, he would do it.
Youâre not a bother, Hazel. Not ever. Just rest here, okay? Let me take care of you. Darshil said
Darshil quickly excused himself from the room and whipped out his phone, searching for remedies for menstrual cramps. His fingers flew across the screen as he devoured articles and tips, determined to help Aarvi feel better. One by one, ideas began to form in his mind.
First, he filled a hot water bottle and carefully brought it to Aarvi. He lifted her slightly and placed the bottle on her abdomen, adjusting it until she found a comfortable position. Aarvi sighed with relief as the warmth began to ease her cramps slightly.
Better? Darshil asked
A little.... but Darshil, you need to rest. Aarvi said
Rest? After seeing you in pain? Even god himself cannot make me rest while you're in pain. Now, you rest and let me take care of you. Darshil said
He left again, this time to the kitchen. He saw Nandini ji was in her room and Poorva was with Ruhi. After reading that certain herbal teas, like chamomile, could help ease cramps, he boiled some water and prepared a cup of tea. The maids asked him if he needed any help but he refused. He brought the tea to her, sitting by her side.
Here, try this. Itâs supposed to help with the pain. Darshil said
Aarvi took the cup, sipping it slowly as Darshil watched her carefully. She smiled softly at his concern, his actions making her feel deeply cared for.
You didnât have to do all this. Really. Aarvi said
Iâd do anything for you. If I canât take the pain away, at least let me make it bearable. Darshil said
Next, Darshil dimmed the lights in the room, creating a soothing atmosphere. He brought a pillow for Aarvi to prop herself up slightly and returned to sit next to her. He had read that massages could also help relieve tension, so he gently rubbed her lower back, easing the tight muscles. Aarvi let out a small sigh of relief as his fingers worked their way along her spine, helping to ease the tension in her body.
While Aarvi was resting, Darshil had dinner with Nandini ji and others, that too on Aarvi's request. But after dinner, Darshil took it upon himself to feed her. He had read that warm, light meals could be soothing, so he prepared a bowl of soup and some bread, bringing it to her.
Open up. The soupâs supposed to work wonders. Darshil said with a smile
Aarvi giggled weakly at his playful tone, opening her mouth as he carefully fed her a spoonful of soup. As he continued feeding her, their eyes met, and a warm, comfortable silence fell between them.
You really didnât have to go through all this trouble. Aarvi said weakly
You forget, Mrs. Rajvanshi, Iâm a man on a mission. Making sure youâre okay is my top priority. Darshil said with a soft smile
Aarvi smiled, her heart swelling with love as she watched him fuss over her. He had always been protective, but this kind of tenderness and thoughtfulness was something new. It warmed her from within, making her forget the pain for a while.
Aarviâs cramps seemed to come and go in waves. After feeding, Darshil sat by her side, gently massaging her lower back while she lay against the soft pillows. They had been talking about random things, anything to take her mind off the discomfort. Their conversation flowed easily, a reflection of the growing comfort between them.
Youâre feeling any better? Darshil asked softly
Aarvi shifted slightly, offering a small smile despite the pain.
A little⦠but itâs still there. I guess I just need some distraction. Aarvi said
Darshil, ever-attentive, tilted his head, watching her with concern and curiosity. He had been noticing how hard she was trying to avoid showing just how much pain she was in.
Alright, distraction, huh? What else do you like besides teasing me? Darshil asked casually wanting to lighten the mood
Aarvi let out a soft laugh, her hand resting on her stomach as she shifted again. It was in these small moments that Darshil felt closest to her, seeing her slowly ease into the relationship despite the turbulent way it had started.
Well, I love chocolate... and ice cream. I could eat them all day if I could. Aarvi said without thinking, a little nostalgic.
Darshil raised an eyebrow, his mind already racing with ideas as he leaned back.
Chocolate and ice cream, huh? What flavors? Darshil asked with a playful smirk.
Any! Iâm not picky. But if I had to choose, I guess caramel is my favorite. And as for chocolate, I love any of them. Just classic and sweet. But yes, I love chocolates more than ice creams. Aarvi said thinking about it.
Darshil nodded thoughtfully, making a mental note. Aarvi thought nothing of it and was too absorbed in the conversation to notice the mischievous glint in his eyes. After a while, the pain seemed to subside slightly, and she sighed, leaning back.
But right now, I donât even have the energy for that⦠I guess itâs just a dream at this point. It's already 10 pm. Aarvi said with a faint smile
Darshil looked at her, his mind made up. He knew what he had to do.
Hold that thought. Darshil said
Before Aarvi could ask what he meant, Darshil pulled out his phone and made a quick call, stepping out of the room. Aarvi, too tired to think much of it, closed her eyes and rested. After about half an hour, Darshil returned, carrying several bags, his face lit up with excitement.
Hazel, Iâve got something for you. Darshil said while grinning widely.
Aarvi blinked, confused as she slowly sat up. Her eyes widened as Darshil began pulling out various containers and bars from the bagsâice creams of every possible flavor, chocolates in all shapes, types and sizes, every indulgent treat she had just mentioned, and more. Chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla, and even unique flavors she had never tried. There were cartons of chocolates. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, truffles, everything was there. Aarvi's eyes widened in shock as she looked at them
What⦠what is all this? Aarvi asked in surprise
All the chocolate and ice cream you could ever want. You said you loved them, and I figured, why not make your dream come true? Darshil said with a mischievous smile
Aarviâs mouth dropped open as she looked at the mountain of treats in front of her. The thoughtfulness behind the gesture, the effort he had put inâher heart swelled with emotion.
Are you crazy??? Darshil, this is⦠this is too much. I didnât mean for you to⦠you shouldnât have. Aarvi said
Darshil shrugged casually, but his eyes were warm, filled with affection.
Well, I am insane for you Hazel. You said you love them. Iâm just making sure you have enough to last a while. Donât worry, weâll enjoy it together. Iâm not letting you eat all this alone. Darshil said
Aarvi couldnât help but laugh, though her eyes shimmered with unshed tears. It wasnât just the surprise of the ice cream and chocolate; it was the fact that he had listened to her so carefully, even in her casual remarks.
You really did all this just because I said I love them? Aarvi asked
Darshil gently, stepped closer and brushed a strand of hair from her face.
You donât realize how much Iâd do for you, do you? This is nothing, Hazel. I just want to see you smile, especially when youâre hurting like this. Darshil said
Aarvi looked at him, her heart filled with emotions she was still too scared to name. She hadnât yet fully admitted to herself the depth of her feelings for him, but in moments like these, it was hard to deny.
Well, youâve definitely outdone yourself. I donât even know where to start. Aarvi said with a shy smile, trying to change the topic.
Darshil chuckled, pulling up a chair next to her. He handed her a spoon and a tub of caramel ice cream to her.
Letâs start with this one. You get the first bite, and Iâll join you. Darshil said
They laughed as they shared the ice cream together, the atmosphere light and warm. Aarviâs pain seemed to melt away as she focused on the sweetness of the moment, feeling her heart flutter every time their hands brushed or their gazes met. Darshil watched her, feeling content as he saw the happiness flicker in her eyes.
After a while, as the mood grew quieter, Darshil leaned back in his chair, gazing at her fondly.
You know, you do too much for me.... You vould have got one bar of chocolate or one tub of any flavoured ice cream. Aarvi said
Any other man can also do that for his wife. I am Darshil Rajvanshi, my wife is most special and so she deserves special happiness. Iâd do anything to make you happy. Even if it means buying all the ice cream and chocolate in the world. Darshil said with a smile.
Aarvi blushed, looking away for a moment before meeting his eyes again.
You already make me happier than you know. Aarvi said
Really? Darshil asked
Yes.... That's it, I can't eat more. Aarvi said while having a last spoon of ice cream.
It's okay. You can have it tommorow or whenever you wish. It's all yours. Darshil said.
After that, Aarvi lays comfortably on the bed. After settling everything Darshil lay beside her, watching her closely, concern flickering in his eyes. He couldnât bear to see her like this, knowing she was fighting through the pain just to avoid worrying him. Aarvi turned again, her breathing shallow as she winced slightly.
Hazel.....come here. Darshil whispered softly.
Aarvi turned her tired eyes at him, blinking slowly.
Iâm fine, Darshil. You should sleep. Youâve just gotten your strength back and you've already done a lot. Aarvi said
But Darshil didnât listen to her protests. Gently, he reached over and pulled her closer, guiding her lower body to rest on his lap. His strong arms lifted her easily, despite his own healing body, positioning her so that her head rested on his chest, just over his heart. He held her gently, his warmth surrounding her as she settled into the comfort of his body.
At first, Aarvi tried to resist. She didnât want to be a burden to him, not when he had just regained his strength after the accident. But the rhythmic, steady thumping of his heart, so close to her ear, brought her an unexpected sense of peace. The sound was soothing, grounding her as it beat in time with her own breathing. Slowly, she let herself relax, melting into him.
Your heartbeat⦠itâs so calming. Aarvi said with a soft smile, her voice barely whispering.
Darshil smiled down at her, his fingers gently stroking her back as she adjusted herself on his chest. He knew she felt safe there, and that thought alone made him forget any discomfort he might be feeling. His arm wrapped protectively around her, holding her close, ignoring the dull ache that occasionally flickered through his own healing body.
You can rest now, Aarvi. Iâve got you. Darshil said softly
Aarvi let out a soft sigh, her eyes fluttering closed as she nestled closer to him. The warmth of his body, combined with the rhythmic sound of his heartbeat, was enough to lull her into a deep sense of peace. She could feel his chest rising and falling gently beneath her head, the steady beat of his heart lulling her deeper into relaxation.
As sleep slowly began to take her, she whispered softly, her voice filled with warmth and affection.
I feel safe with you Darshil.... Aarvi mumbles in sleep
Darshilâs heart swelled at her words, and despite the discomfort of holding her in that position, he knew he would stay like this for as long as she needed. He could feel her body slowly relaxing, her breathing evening out as she drifted closer to sleep. He closed his eyes, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
As he watched her sleep, Darshil couldnât help but whisper softly, his fingers brushing a strand of hair away from her face.
You donât even know how much you mean to me, do you? Iâll never let anything hurt you, not even this. Iâll always be here. Darshil whispered.
