The morning light gently filtered into the room as Aarvi stirred, finding herself nestled in Darshil's arms. She slowly opened her eyes and was taken aback to find Darshil already awake, his gaze fixed on her. His warm eyes softened the moment they met hers, and a smile played on his lips.

Good morning, Hazel. Darshil whispered, his voice tender.

Aarvi blushed, a shy smile breaking through.

Good morning… How long have you been awake? Aarvi asked, her voice barely above murmur

Long enough to watch you sleep. You looked so peaceful. I didn’t want to wake you. Darshil replied, pulling her closer.

She looked away, trying to hide her smile, but Darshil reached out, gently lifting her chin to meet his eyes.

Are you feeling alright? You went through so much last night. Darshil said with a teasing smile.

Aarvi’s cheeks warmed as she looked down, a hint of embarrassment in her eyes.

I… I’m fine. Thank you for taking care of me.. Aarvi said softly

Darshil smiled, brushing a loose strand of hair from her face.

I'll always take care of you, Hazel. Darshil said

I know.... Aarvi said

Now come on, let’s get you freshened up. We have breakfast waiting downstairs. Darshil said

They shared a warm smile, and after freshening up, they walked downstairs together, hand in hand. As they entered the dining area, Nandini Ji, Poorva, and Ruhi were already seated, waiting for them.

Nandini Ji looked up and smiled warmly.

There you are! I was beginning to think you'd forgotten breakfast altogether. Nandini ji said

Aarvi laughed, slightly embarrassed, and took her seat beside Darshil who then cleared his throat, diverting everyone’s attention.

I have some exciting news. Darshil said

News? What is it? Aarvi asked and everyone’s eyes brightened with interest.

Tomorrow night, we're hosting a grand business party here. All my important clients and some of the biggest names in the business world will be attending. Also, It’s a perfect opportunity to showcase what our company has built to make some of them bring intrest in our new project. Darshil said

That’s wonderful, Bhai! It’s about time everyone sees what you've achieved. Poorva said with a smile

Yes, and there’s more. Darshil said

What more? Nandini ji asked

Rakshit will be arriving from Jaipur for the party. He’ll be staying here with us for the next couple of days. Darshil said

At the mention of Rakshit’s arrival, the entire family’s excitement grew. Dadi clasped her hands together with joy.

Oh, that's wonderful news, Darshil beta! It’s been too long since we had him here with us. Nandini ji said

Aarvi smiled warmly, feeling her own excitement rise.

It’ll be nice to have him here, especially with such a big event happening. Aarvi said with a smile

Yes, he’s been wanting to meet everyone and spend time with us, especially after he came to know about my accident. Plus, it’s a good chance for him to see how our business has grown. Darshil said

Nandini Ji placed her hand on Darshil’s shoulder, her eyes reflecting a grandmother's pride.

Thank you, dadi. It's all because of your blessings and your support. Darshil said

He turned back to Aarvi, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Chachu.... Will there be cake in the party? Ruhi asked

Of course my little princess, and you will get the huge slice. Darshil said with a smile, making her happy and everyone laughed.

And Hazel, you’ll be by my side, of course. I’ll need my lucky charm with me. Darshil said

Aarvi looked at him, her cheeks flushing slightly, but she managed a smile.

Of course, Darshil. I’ll be there. Aarvi said

Then they all continued their conversation, discussing the arrangements for the party, the guest list, and plans for Rakshit’s stay. Darshil kept stealing glances at Aarvi, feeling a deep sense of contentment and pride having her by his side.

After breakfast, Darshil left for the office and Aarvi spent some time with family members.

Next day, the afternoon sun cast a warm glow as Darshil’s car pulled up to the airport. He stepped out, adjusting his blazer, his expression focused but calm. As he walked through the bustling terminal, his gaze remained sharp, scanning for the designated gate.

Passengers and families bustled around him, but his tall, composed figure moved with purpose, drawing curious glances. Pausing for a moment, he checked his watch, lips curving into a slight smile as he anticipated the arrival of his next big guest.

Just then, the arrival gate opened, and he spotted his best friend stepping out, surrounded by assistants and a small entourage. Darshil’s gaze landed on Rakshit, stepping out with his usual composed demeanor.

His tall, strong build and cold, serious expression would have intimidated anyone who didn’t know him, but Darshil saw the hint of a warm smile as Rakshit spotted him.

The two shared a quick, firm handshake and then a hug before Darshil greeted him warmly.

Welcome back to Mumbai, Rakshit. Darshil said, patting his back.

Rakshit gave a slight nod, his face showing a hint of a smile.

Thank you, Darshil. It’s been a while. Rakshit said

As they made their way to Darshil’s car, they shared a few words about recent projects, their tones both professional and friendly. Darshil noticed Rakshit’s usual cold demeanor relaxing just slightly in his presence—a rare comfort he knew his friend seldom shared with others.

Soon, they arrived home, where Nandini Ji and Aarvi were waiting eagerly at the entrance. Rakshit stepped inside, his face softening further as he saw them, especially Nandini Ji, who stepped forward to bless him.

Rakshit beta, It’s so good to have you here. Nandini ji said

Thank you, dadi. It feels good to be back with all of you. Rakshit replied, bowing his head respectfully.

You’ve become even more serious since last time. It’s time we get you to smile a bit more. Nandini ji said

Rakshit’s lips curved slightly at this and he smiled softly.

I’ll try, Dadi. Rakshit said with a smile

and then his gaze landed on Aarvi, who smiled brightly at him.

Hello, Aarvi. It’s nice to see you again. I hope you’ve been well? Rakshit said, his tone was as polite as ever, yet there was a genuine warmth behind his words.

Yes, Rakshit. It’s so good to have you here. Aarvi said with a smile, while Darshil took a glance of her.

As they moved toward the dining room, Rakshit looked around, noting the beautiful decorations that were nearly completed for the party.

I am sure, dadi has outdone herself. Rakshit said

Darshil nodded, smiling at Nandini ji.

Yes, only the best for her most loved grandson. Darshil said

They settled around the dining table, where an array of Rakshit’s favorite dishes awaited. His usually composed expression softened as he looked at the spread.

That's so sweet dadi. This… this all looks wonderful. Rakshit said

I know your test well Rakshit. Nandini ji said with a smile

As they began eating, Rakshit turned to Aarvi.

Aarvi, The last time you visited Jaipur, Rajmata kept mentioning you for days afterward. She’s quite fond of you. Rakshit said

I’m honored, truly. She was so kind. Aarvi said with a gentle smile

And Anshika, she wouldn’t stop talking about you. You seem to have made quite the impression on them. Rakshit said with a smile

Anshika is really adorable. I can’t wait to see her again. Aarvi said

Rakshit nodded, continuing his meal in his usual quiet, composed manner. The conversation flowed as everyone enjoyed the meal, sharing stories, laughter, and warmth.

Later, Darshil led Rakshit upstairs to his room. After freshening up, Rakshit joined Darshil in his study, where they settled in for a discussion on the business aspects of the upcoming party. As they sat down, Darshil poured them both a glass of water and leaned back, studying his friend’s serious expression.

Rakshit, I know the usual crowd will be there tonight. But I want to make sure this event opens doors for all three of us. We’re making waves together, and I want everyone to know it. Darshil said

Rakshit nodded, his expression contemplative.

Your vision is strong, Darshil. The party will make a statement if we execute it well. But let’s not forget that many of those attending will be watching our every move. They’ll want to see if this partnership is as solid as they hear. Rakshit said

Then we’ll show them exactly that. Besides, we have too much invested to let anyone think otherwise. Darshil said

You and Daksh have already built a foundation here, Darshil. I respect that, and I’m glad to be a part of it. Rakshit said

And I couldn’t ask for a better partner. This partnership is as personal to me as it is professional, Rakshit. We’ve been through a lot together. Darshil said

Rakshit’s usual serious expression lightened ever so slightly.

Agreed. Let’s keep it that way. Rakshit replied with a calm smile.

It was late evening when Darshil stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his cufflinks, his black suit perfectly tailored to his athletic frame. He scanned the room, wondering where Aarvi could be. Just as he turned around, two soft arms wrapped around his waist, pulling him back into a warm hug. Aarvi rested her cheek against his shoulder, smiling to herself.

Are you trying to kill me with these gestures, Hazel? Darshil asked

Why? Aarvi asked

Well, you completely stole my breath. A move like this could be dangerous.

One more surprise like this and I might not survive. Darshil said

Can you stop saying such nonsense words? Don't say things like that, Darshil. I don't like hearing anything about losing you. Aarvi said, as she tightened her hug

Darshil turned around, cupping her face with a gentle smile.

Hey, I’m just teasing. I’m right here. How can someone miss the opportunity to be with the most beautiful woman of the universe? So, I am not going anywhere. Darshil said, his thumb brushing across her cheek.

Aarvi pouted slightly.

Good, because I might just keep hugging you like this for the rest of the night.

Oh, I wouldn’t mind that, shall we begin now? Let me hug you first. Darshil said

Stop it Darshil. We do have a party to attend. Aarvi said with a shy laugh

Oh yes, then let's go. Everyone should get a look at the real star of tonight—my gorgeous wife. Darshil said

Aarvi’s cheeks flushed as she smacked him playfully on the arm.

You and your compliments! I can’t ever keep my heart steady around you. Aarvi said

Darshil smirked, holding her closer.

Exactly my point. Let’s keep giving each other these heart-skipping moments, alright? Darshil said

Aarvi smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Best deal. Aarvi said with a smile.

They descended the staircase together, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. Nandini Ji, Poorva, Ruhi, Daksh, Shiv, and Rakshit were already present, looking elegant and lively as they mingled. Darshil’s friends greeted him with genuine smiles, their camaraderie evident.

As the guests slowly began arriving, Darshil led Aarvi through the crowd, introducing her to some of his esteemed clients and business partners. They exchanged polite greetings, Darshil’s hand never leaving hers. Meanwhile, Daksh, Shiv, and Rakshit gathered nearby, chuckling and exchanging remarks as they observed the bustling party while Daksh got an idea to tease Rakshit.

So, Mr. Mysterious, still on that elusive search operation? Daksh asked with a mischievous glint in his eye making Shiv laugh.

Yes, Rakshit, what’s the news on the Lucknow front? Or did you finally quit your weekly reconnaissance missions there? Shiv asked

Rakshit shook his head, a rare smile tugging at his lips.

You two have quite the imaginations. I’m focused on business, as always. Besides, if I wanted to make time for something else, I would. Rakshit said

Darshil joined in, laughing as he gave Rakshit a playful nudge.

Oh, please, Rakshit. Lucknow has seen more of you than your office some days. Come on, admit it. Darshil said

Exactly, We all know that "Lucknow me jaan basti hai aapki". Daksh said with a teasing smile

Rakshit raised an eyebrow, his expression as calm as ever.

Perhaps, but if I recall, Daksh here has been more preoccupied with his so-called ‘Happiness’ than I have with Lucknow. Rakshit said

Daksh threw his hands up, his eyes wide.

Whoa, whoa! Why drag me into this? You’re the one with the ‘missions,’ not me! Daksh said

Darshil grinned, patting Daksh’s shoulder.

Come on, Daksh. You were talking big about leaving non-veg for a ‘special reason.’ Don’t think we’ve forgotten about that little detail! Darshil said

Well, I have priorities. And this ‘Happiness’ thing… it’s not as simple as you all think! Daksh said and Shiv burst out laughing.

Oh, Daksh, only you would make happiness sound like a too dangerous and high stakes mission. Shiv said

Rakshit’s usual cold demeanor softened with genuine amusement. Meanwhile Darshil was enjoying the teasing conversation.

If ‘Happiness’ were a project, Daksh, I’m sure you’d have the blueprint laid out by now. Darshil said

Daksh crossed his arms, pretending to be offended.

Laugh all you want, but when the time comes, you’ll all be singing a different tune. Daksh said

Aarvi and Poorva, overhearing bits of the conversation as they all laugh together, both of them, exchanged amused glances.

It’s so good to see them together like this, just like old times. Aarvi said

Yes, they’re like family. Each with his own quirks, but always supporting each other. Poorva said

As the laughter settled, Daksh couldn't resist steering the topic back to their quiet friend. He nudged Darshil and grinned.

But seriously, Darshil, don’t you think it’s too suspicious? Rakshit here says he’s all ‘business,’ but Lucknow sees him more than Mumbai or maybe Jaipur too. Daksh said

Shiv leaned in, eyes twinkling with mischief.

You know, Rakshit, even the people in Lucknow might start wondering if you're secretly their mayor or something. Shiv said

Rakshit rolled his eyes, but Darshil joined in, a smirk on his face.

Yeah, Rakshit, at this point, you might as well get an apartment there. Who knows? It might be more ‘efficient for business,’ right? Darshil said

Rakshit, keeping his cool, simply adjusted his cufflinks

I’d rather keep them wondering. Besides, who knows what I might find there? Rakshit said with a soothing smile

Daksh raised his hands in mock defeat, chuckling.

Oh, Rakshit, man of mystery! Well, keep your secrets. But don’t think we’ll stop grilling you about it next time! Got it, Mr. Mysterious? Daksh said

I don’t doubt that for a second. You won't let me Daksh. Rakshit said, and Darshil patted him on the back

It’s because we care, Rakshit. We just want you to find something beyond business… maybe something—or someone—worth the Lucknow trips. Darshil said

Rakshit shook his head, allowing himself a rare chuckle.

If that day ever comes, you three will be the first to know. Rakshit replied, his tone softer than usual, as he glanced around at his friends.

In the midst of the bustling party, Darshil noticed Mr. Nick, one of his, Daksh's and Rakshit's most prestigious clients, entering the hall. Known for his wealth and influence, Mr. Nick held a critical role in supporting many of their projects. Darshil, Rakshit, and Daksh quickly walked over to greet him.

Mr. Nick, it’s a pleasure to have you here. Darshil said with a welcoming smile, extending his hand.

Glad to meet you too Mr. Rajvanshi, and of course, seeing all three of you together is really a pleasure. Nick replied smoothly, shaking hands.

His sharp gaze roamed the room before settling on Aarvi, who was speaking to Poorva and Ruhi nearby. A flash of interest lit his eyes as he lingered on her, appreciating her elegance and beauty.

And who is that lovely lady? Nick asked with a charming but slightly too keen smile.

Darshil, momentarily unaware of Nick’s intentions, smiled proudly.

That’s my wife, Aarvi. Darshil said

Nick’s expression briefly tightened in surprise, but he quickly masked it, a sly smile returning.

Ah, Darshil, you certainly know how to keep good company, don’t you? Nick said

Just then, Aarvi looked over, sensing Darshil’s gaze, and approached them politely. Darshil introduced her.

Aarvi, this is Mr. Nick, one of our valued clients. Mr. Nick, my wife Aarvi. Darshil said

It’s wonderful to meet you, Mrs. Aarvi. Nick said, his voice laced with subtle flirtation as he extended his hand. Aarvi offered a polite nod, shaking his hand briefly, feeling the undertone of his gaze on her.

It’s a pleasure, Mr. Nick. Aarvi replied graciously, though she already sensed something unsettling about his demeanor, so she quickly pulled back her hand.

I’ve been to many parties, but it’s rare to see someone with such grace and charm. It’s truly captivating. Nick said and his words made Aarvi uncomfortable.

Darshil's jaw clenched a bit but he composed himself. Meanwhile Daksh, Rakshit and Shiv exchanged glances, aware of what Darshil will do if he feel Nick is getting too intrested in Aarvi. Aarvi looked at Darshil and then at all the three men's reactions.

Thank you, Mr. Nick. My husband has quite the eye for detail when it comes to planning events. Aarvi said making Darshil's gaze soft.

Thankyou Hazel. Darshil said

Aarvi smiled at him and then excuses herself.
