Time Skip.....

Fifteen days passed in a whirlwind of care and healing, with Aarvi gradually regaining her strength. Throughout her stay in the hospital, she was surrounded by Darshil’s unwavering support and the love of his family, who tended to her every need, determined to bring her back to health.

Poorva, Nandini ji, and Ruhi took turns sitting by her bedside, each bringing a unique warmth to her recovery. Poorva always arrived with fresh flowers, telling Aarvi stories from the family’s past, making her laugh and taking her mind off the pain.

Nandini ji, with her gentle wisdom and warmth, would often hold Aarvi’s hand, reassuring her that everything would be all right. Ruhi, in her innocent excitement, would sit by Aarvi, drawing colorful pictures and asking her to tell stories about places she dreamed of visiting with her.

And Darshil – he was always there, a constant and quiet presence, making sure she never felt alone. Whether it was bringing her favorite tea, adjusting her pillows, staying up late to keep an eye on her, or even read books for her when she felt bored, he left nothing to chance. Every day, he’d ask the doctors countless questions, desperate to make sure her recovery was on track.

On the fifteenth day, the doctor finally delivered the news they’d all been waiting for.

Aarvi, you’re ready to go home,  Just remember to rest, avoid any physical strain, and take it slow. The doctor said with a warm smile.

The room erupted in excitement, with Ruhi clapping her hands and Poorva practically dancing with joy. Aarvi glanced over at Darshil, her own face breaking into a relieved smile as she saw the weight lift from his shoulders. He looked at her, his gaze soft and filled with gratitude.

I'll take care of that doctor. Darshil said, his eyes never leaving hers

Perfect then. I'll get the discharge papers ready. The doctor said and left.

It’s been a couple of days since Aarvi returned home from the hospital, and her family and Darshil have been constantly by her side, making sure she’s comfortable. The room is warm and filled with the smell of flowers brought by friends and family.

It was early morning when Darshil walks into the room with a tray, holding Aarvi’s morning tea and a light breakfast. He places the tray on her lap, adjusting the pillow behind her back.

Here you go. Careful, it’s hot. If you need anything else, I’ll be right here. Darshil said

Aarvi smiles, watching his fussing over her.

Darshil, you know, I’m just recovering, not some fragile porcelain doll. Aarvi said

Maybe. But after everything, I’m not taking any chances. Just let me do this, okay? Darshil said

Aarvi takes a sip of her tea and raises an eyebrow, looking at him thoughtfully.

Alright, Mr. Overprotective, but tell me—when was the last time you went to the office? Aarvi asked

Doesn’t matter. Nothing is more important than you right now. Darshil said shrugging of

Aarvi rolls her eyes and sets her tea down, taking his hand.

I know you’re worried. But Darshil, you have responsibilities, too. You’re a busy man, and I’m going to be just fine here with everyone looking after me. Aarvi said

Responsibilities don’t matter if something happens to you. I can’t bear the thought of not being here if you need anything. Darshil said firmly

But I need you to get back to life, Darshil. If you’re around 24/7, I’ll never feel normal again. Besides…you’re driving me a little crazy. Aarvi said with a smile and a hint of teasing

Darshil gives her a half-smile, but she can see the worry in his eyes.

You’re impossible, you know that? Just got back from a life-threatening situation, and now you’re the one pushing me around? Darshil said as he sighs reluctantly

Someone has to, or else you’d turn into my personal nurse and nothing else. Aarvi said with a smile

Nandini ji enters the room, overhearing the conversation, and chuckles.

Aarvi’s right, Darshil. She will be stressed about you all the time thinking that you're ignoring work for her, isn't it Aarvi? And Darshil you need to get back to your duties. We’ll take good care of her here. Nandini ji said with a smile

Ruhi runs in with a sketch she made for Aarvi, showing her and Darshil holding hands under a big sun.

Look, Chachi! I made this for you! It’s you and chachu. Ruhi said showing the picture to Aarvi

Aarvi’s heart melts as she looks at the sketch and pulls Ruhi into a hug. Darshil on the other hand kisses on her cheeks softly.

It’s beautiful, Ruhi. You’re the best artist. Aarvi said

Ruhi beams proudly and runs off to show her sketch to Poorva, who smiles at the tender moment.

See how much Ruhi cares for Aarvi, she keeps on making new sketches to make Aarvi smile. Poorva said

Fine, I’ll go… but I’ll be back by evening. And I mean it. Darshil said

Aarvi laughs softly, lightly patting his hand.

Deal. Just remember, this is all because I want you back here as soon as possible, with all your focus on me. Aarvi said with a smirk

Only because you insist. But if anything—anything—feels off, you call me. Understood? Darshil said

Aarvi nods, touched by his concern.

I promise. Now, go. I’ll be waiting. Aarvi said

Darshil finally gives in, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her forehead. Everyone else walks out of the room and get back to their daily routine.

Darshil heads to his closet to change, still feeling torn about leaving Aarvi. He pulls on a crisp white shirt, buttoning it with precision, but his attention drifts to the reflection in the mirror. He sees Aarvi resting on the bed, her gaze soft yet playful as she watches him get ready. The sight brings a faint smile to his lips, but the worry remains etched in his expression.

You’re still watching me? Don’t tell me you’re trying to keep me from going. Darshil said looking at her reflection

Aarvi raises an eyebrow, a small smile tugging at her lips.

If I am, would it work? Aarvi asked

Darshil turns around, walking over to her.

Not a chance. But I’ll be back before you even think about calling my name. Just try to miss me a little less, okay? Darshil said

I can try missing you less but you've to try worrying less and focusing on work more. Aarvi said

Alright... but remember, if you so much as feel a little uncomfortable, if you need anything-just blink long, and I'll be back here before you even finish saying my name. Understood? Darshil said

Aarvi squeezes his hand, touched by his words, and smiles with gentle teasing.

Darshil, you're really making it hard for me to let you go. But I promise, if I need you, I'll call... or blink. And if you’re late, I’ll start calling in reinforcements. Aarvi said

Darshil grins, leaning down to press a gentle kiss on her forehead.

You won’t have to. I’ll be back before you know it. Darshil said

He steps back, giving her one last look, as if etching her image into his mind, then heads toward the door.

Bye, Hazel. And remember, if you need anything— Darshil said but Aarvi interrupts him

Yes, yes, I’ll call. Now go, Mr. Overprotective. I’ll be here, waiting. Aarvi said with a teasing smile.

With a final smile, he nods, slipping out of the room, his heart full yet aching as he leaves her side. He walks out of the mansion. Shiv meets him outside and claps a hand on his shoulder.

Come on, lover boy. She’s in good hands. Shiv said

Darshil gives him a half-smile, but his eyes are still full of worry.

I know. But she’s my whole world, Shiv. It feels like I’m leaving a part of me behind. Darshil said

She’s strong, Darshil. And besides, with how everyone’s doting on her, she’ll be running things around here in no time. Now let’s get some work done, alright? Shiv said

Darshil nods, taking a deep breath. But even as he walks away, his mind is still on Aarvi, praying for her full recovery as they drove to their office.

The sun is setting outside, and the office is bustling with the usual workday energy. But inside Darshil's cabin, it's quiet, save for the occasional sound of typing on his laptop. Darshil sits at his desk, a pile of files in front of him, but his mind is elsewhere. He absentmindedly flips through a document, his thoughts on Aarvi.

His eyes glance at the picture on his desk—Aarvi’s smiling face in a family photo, a reminder of everything that matters most to him. His fingers hover over his phone, almost texting her, but then he lets it go. He leans back in his chair, looking at the ceiling.

I’ve never been more terrified in my life... and now I just need her to be okay. Darshil said

The door opens, and Shiv enters, noticing the pensive look on Darshil’s face. He stands at the doorway for a moment before speaking.

I’d ask if you’re finally catching up on work, but something tells me your mind’s still elsewhere. Shiv said as he grins

Darshil lets out a sigh, running a hand through his hair before sitting up straight and looking at Shiv.

I’m… just thinking, Shiv. A lot has happened, you know? But there’s something I need to talk to you about. Darshil said

Shiv raises an eyebrow, walking over to the chair across from Darshil’s desk and sitting down.

Uh-oh. This sounds serious. Go ahead, man. What’s on your mind? Shiv asked

Darshil takes a deep breath, unsure whether to ask the question that’s been bothering him for a while now. But he finally looks Shiv in the eyes.

Can I ask you something... personal? Darshil asked

Shiv is caught off guard, blinking in surprise. But he shrugs, nodding in response.

Sure, anything. Shiv said

Darshil leans forward slightly, folding his arms, and his tone becomes more serious.

Do you... love anyone? Darshil asked

Shiv freezes for a moment, his eyes widening slightly. He wasn’t expecting such a question from Darshil, of all people. But after a beat, he smirks, leaning back in his chair.

Well, that’s an unexpected question from you, my friend. What, you worried I’m falling for someone else while you’re so wrapped up in Aarvi? Shiv asked in a teasing tone

Darshil chuckles, but his eyes remain intense, serious.

I’m just curious. You never talk about relationships much, and well, I know you pretty well by now. So, I thought I’d ask. And I want you to be honest with me. Darshil said

Shiv sighs, finally meeting Darshil’s gaze.

Yeah. There is someone. Shiv said seriously

Darshil’s interest peaks, leaning in a little more as if he knew the girl.

Who is she? Darshil asked

Shiv hesitates for a moment, a mix of nerves and emotion flickering in his eyes. He stares at the floor for a second before locking eyes with Darshil.

It’s Poorva. Shiv said

Darshil’s gaze hardens for a split second, the realization hitting him with a jolt. But he doesn’t let his surprise show on his face. Instead, he keeps his tone calm, masking his emotions as he continues.

And does she... love you? Darshil asked

Shiv’s lips curl into a smile, the fondness and longing for Poorva evident in his eyes.

Yes she loves me. Shiv said

And what have you thought about future? Are you sure about her? Darshil asked

Good , so then, what's next? Darshil asked

We’ve been… planning to get married. But we’ve been waiting for the right moment to talk to you and the family about it. We didn’t want to complicate things or make anyone uncomfortable. Shiv said

Darshil leans back in his chair, processing this new information. He runs a hand through his hair, his mind racing. He can see the depth of Shiv’s feelings for Poorva, the quiet care in his eyes whenever she’s near. And it makes sense—he had noticed the way Shiv reacted when Poorva was in danger, how he couldn’t hide his fear.

I figured it out the day Poorva was kidnapped. I could see the way you were reacting—how worried and scared you were. It was obvious you cared about her more than just as a friend. Darshil said

Shiv looks down at the floor, embarrassed but also grateful for Darshil’s insight. Darshil’s words hit him harder than he expected—he never thought Darshil would notice, but now that it’s out in the open, he feels a sense of relief.

Guess I’m not as good at hiding it as I thought. Shiv said

Darshil’s expression softens, and he lets out a long exhale.

Shiv, you’ve been like a brother to me for years. I know how much Poorva means to you. I’m not blind to that. Darshil said

Shiv shifts in his seat, the tension easing a little. His voice is steady but laced with a certain vulnerability.

But I never knew how you’d react, man. I mean... Poorva is your sister, and I didn’t want to risk ruining our friendship. It’s just… I care about her a lot. Shiv said

Darshil looks at Shiv for a moment, considering his words carefully. After a few beats, his expression turns more serious, but also supportive.

So....Are you sure about her? Darshil asked

I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life. There’s no doubt in my mind. I’m ready to stand by her, no matter what. Shiv said

Then....why don't you propose her for wedding then? Darshil said

Shiv’s eyes widen, surprised by Darshil’s reaction. He wasn’t expecting this kind of response, but it’s clear Darshil understands.

Should I? Shiv asked

You should tell her how you feel. No more waiting. I can see how much she means to you. And you know what? I think she’s just as afraid of losing you as you are of losing her. Darshil said

You’re right. I’ve been holding back, waiting for the perfect time. But maybe there’s no such thing as a perfect time. Shiv said

Exactly. And don’t worry about how the family will react. You’re a part of this family too, Shiv. I’ll talk to Dadi, and I know she’ll support you two. But for tonight... propose to her in front of all of us. Make it official. Darshil said

Shiv nods slowly, feeling a wave of relief wash over him at Darshil’s support.

Thank you, Darshil. I promise I won’t let you down. I just… I just want to be with her. I don’t want to live with regrets. Shiv said

Good. You’re like a brother to me, Shiv. And Poorva… she deserves the world. Just make sure you’re ready for what comes next

Darshil stands up, placing a hand on Shiv’s shoulder. The bond between them feels even stronger now, as if they’ve crossed a new threshold in their friendship.

You know, Darshil… sometimes I think you’re the only one who sees through me. Shiv said

It’s what brothers do. Darshil said

It’s been a long day for Darshil, but he finally returns home, his mind constantly drifting to Aarvi throughout the day. As soon as he enters the house, he heads directly to the bedroom, finding her sitting comfortably on the bed, reading a book.

Hazel... Darshil said

Aarvi looks up, surprised to see him, but her face immediately lights up with a warm smile.

There you are! Thought you might’ve gotten too busy to come home. Aarvi said

Darshil walks forward and sits down next to her, his hand instinctively reaching out to tuck a stray strand of her hair behind her ear, his eyes scanning her face as if to reassure himself she’s really alright.

Like I could stay away from you. How are you feeling? Any pain or anything unusual? Darshil asked

Darshil, you know I’m not going to break. I told you, I’m fine. Aarvi said playfully

Maybe. But after everything that’s happened, I can’t just… switch off the worry, Aarvi. Every time I see you, it’s like a reminder of what I almost lost. Darshil said

Aarvi places her hand over his, giving it a gentle squeeze.

I know. And I can’t imagine how hard it’s been for you. But I’m here now, with you, and I’m not going anywhere. Aarvi said

I really missed you today. Darshil said brushing a strand of hair off her face

Oh, I know! I saw the messages. Five calls and seven texts to check on me, Mr. Workaholic. Aarvi said

Just making sure my favorite patient isn’t getting into any trouble. Darshil said

Wow.... Favourite patient. Aarvi said with a slight laugh

Darshil gives a faint smile, the tension in his eyes easing just a little.

You know, I never thought I’d be the kind of man to worry like this. You’ve changed me, Hazel. Darshil said

Oh, so it’s my fault now, huh? Aarvi asked

They both laugh, but there’s a softness in their laughter, a shared understanding.

Completely. I was fine being distant, keeping everyone at arm’s length. Then you came along, making me care about someone more than I ever cared about myself. Darshil said

Well, maybe it’s time you learn that caring doesn’t make you weak. It makes you stronger. Aarvi said with a gentle smile

Caring for you doesn't make me weak. Your love is all I need to stay strong. Darshil said

Aarvi blushes, and they sit in silence for a moment, their hands intertwined, when they hear a soft knock. Nandini ji enters, her eyes lighting up when she sees Aarvi’s bright smile.

Look at you, Aarvi! You’re glowing. It’s so good to see you smiling. Nandini ji said

Thank you, Dadi. I’m feeling much better… and I have you all to thank for taking such good care of me. Aarvi said

Our home wouldn’t be the same without you, beta. You bring so much joy to all of us. Nandini ji said

Nandini ji sits beside Aarvi, and Darshil glances between the two, finally seizing the moment to broach a topic that’s been on his mind for a while. He clears his throat.

Actually… there’s something I wanted to talk to you both about. Darshil said

What is it, Darshil? Nandini ji asked

Yes, what’s on that mind of yours, Mr. Rajvanshi? Aarvi asked

Darshil chuckles, looking both a little nervous and excited.

It’s about Poorva and Shiv. I… I came to know that..... Shiv has feelings for her. Darshil said

Shiv? For our Poorva? Nandini ji asked in surprise

Yes dadi, he really loves Poorva. Darshil said

I never thought… but now that you mention it, it makes perfect sense. That boy has always looked at her with such fondness. Nandini ji said

I had my suspicions too. The way he’s always around, taking care of her quietly… I think it’s beautiful. Aarvi said with a smile

Poorva also loves him and she wants to marry Shiv. Darshil said

I always wanted Poorva to marry a man, like Shiv. He is perfect, and I know he will make her happy. Nandini ji said

With all my heart, Dadi. Shiv is family. He’s loyal, strong, and he would do anything to see Poorva smile. Darshil said

It’s so romantic. After all this time, he’s waited for her. We have to do something to help them along… maybe a small push? Aarvi said

I have done a bit of help and you guys, including Poorva have a surprise tonight. Darshil said

Are you playing as a matchmaker Darshil? Aarvi asked with a teasing smile

Maybe I’ve learned a thing or two. Darshil said

They share a smile, and Nandini ji nods in approval.

Well, you two have my blessing. Let’s see where this journey takes Shiv and Poorva… with us supporting them every step of the way. Nandini ji said

That's what we all need Dadi. Darshil said with a smile.
