Aarvi stirred, her lashes fluttering open as she regained consciousness. She blinked at the ceiling, disoriented for a moment, before her gaze landed on Darshilâs anxious face hovering above her. His hand gently brushed her hair away from her forehead, his eyes filled with concern.
Hazel⦠Are you okay? Donât try to move too fast. Darshil said gently
Aarvi blinked, her vision adjusting. She tried to sit up, but her arms trembled. Darshil immediately slipped his arm around her, helping her sit upright.
Darshil.....Aarvi whispered weakly
Iâm here, my love. Just lean on me. Darshil said
Aarvi rested her head on his chest, seeking the comfort only he could provide.
I need you... Darshil, I canât face this alone. Aarvi murmured, her voice was barely audible, filled with vulnerability.
Darshil wrapped his arms around her tightly, pulling her closer as if shielding her from the world.
Youâll never be alone, Hazel. No matter what happens, you have me. Darshil said
Hearing his soothing words, Aarvi melted into his embrace. The warmth of his embrace seemed to melt something within her, and suddenly, all the pain and betrayal she had been holding back came flooding out. Aarvi clutched his shirt desperately and burst into tears, her sobs wracking her body.
She began to cry, soft sobs at first, but then her emotions overwhelmed her. She clutched Darshilâs shirt, her tears soaking into the fabric as she cried uncontrollably.
It feels like a nightmare, Darshil. How could they do this to my parents? To me? I trusted them... loved them. Aarvi said through her sobs.
Darshilâs chest tightened as he held her closer, his hand stroking her hair gently as he pressed his lips to her hair.
I know, Hazel. I know it hurts. But donât cry like this. It breaks me to see you like this. Darshil said
Aarvi sobbed harder, her hands fisting his shirt as if clinging to him would stop her world from falling apart.
They... they killed my parents, Darshil. The people I trusted with my life took away everything. How could they? Aarvi said through her sobs
Darshilâs jaw clenched as his anger toward the Rathods resurfaced, but he suppressed it for Aarviâs sake.
I donât have an answer, bachha. Some people are driven by greed, and it blinds them to humanity. Darshil said, trying to soothe her.
Aarvi buried her face deeper into his chest, her sobs softening but still shaking her fragile frame. After some moments , she looked up at him, her tear-filled eyes searching his for answers.
What did I do to deserve this? I thought they were my family. What was my fault ? Aarvi said, her voice trembling and almost above whisper.
Darshil cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs wiping away her tears.
Hazel, this isnât your fault. None of it is. What they did was driven by greed and selfishness. Youâre innocent in all of this, and I wonât let their actions define your life. Darshil said
Aarvi shook her head, her sobs quieting but her pain evident.
I donât know if I can ever forgive them. Aarvi whispered
You donât have to. What they did is unforgivable. But youâre stronger than this pain, Hazel. Youâre stronger than they ever gave you credit for. Darshil said
I feel so broken....as if, all this is killing me, I just want to cry. Aarvi murmured, as she avoided his gaze.
Darshil lifted her chin, making her look into his eyes.
Look at me, Hazel. You are stronger than you think. Cry if you need to, let it out, I am always here to catch your tears, but donât let this break you. Your parents would want you to stand tall and fight for the truth. And Iâll be right here, holding you through it all. Darshil said
Aarvi nodded, she rested her forehead against his chest, her breathing still uneven.
I don't know how to face this. How do I live with this truth? Aarvi whispered
Darshil kissed on her nose and tilted her chin gently so their eyes met, his gaze steady and full of unwavering determination.
You live by leaning on me, Hazel. When you canât find the strength to take a step, Iâll carry you. When the darkness feels too heavy, Iâll be your light. Iâll fight for you, protect you, and help you heal. Iâll be your strength until you find your own again. Let me carry your pain with you, piece by piece, until it feels lighter. Darshil said in a soothing voice, stroking her hair softly.
Aarvi's lips quivered as she looked into his eyes, seeing the depth of his love and support. A fresh wave of tears welled up in her eyes, but this time, they were a mix of pain and gratitude.
I donât know what Iâd do without you. Youâre my safe place, Darshil. Aarvi murmured
Darshil cupped her face, wiping her tears with his thumbs as his voice softened even further.
Youâll never have to find out, Hazel. Iâm not going anywhere. Youâre my life, my love, my everything and I can't see my life, my Hazel brocken. Darshil said
Aarvi leaned into his touch, her tears finally slowing. Though her heart was still heavy, Darshilâs words and presence provided a glimmer of solace in her storm of emotions.
Promise me... promise me youâll stay with me forever. Aarvi whispered
Forever and beyond, Hazel. Iâll never let go. Darshil said as he pulled her in his embrace again.
Aarvi wrapped her arms around him again, holding onto him as if he were her lifeline.
Darshil held Aarvi close, her trembling body slowly calming in his embrace. Her fingers clutched his shirt tightly, her breaths uneven but gradually steadying. He kissed the top of her head, whispering soothing words.
Youâre safe now, Hazel. Donât think about them anymore. Darshil said
Aarvi remained quiet for a moment, her thoughts heavy with the betrayal and unanswered questions. Finally, she pulled back slightly, looking up at him with tear-filled eyes.
Darshil, I need to meet them. Aarvi said softly
Darshil frowned, his protective instincts flaring immediately.
No, Hazel. Youâve been through enough. I canât let you face them again, not after everything theyâve done. I wonât let them hurt you anymore. Darshil said
Aarvi shook her head.
I need answers, Darshil. I need to know why they did this. Was it only for money? My father trusted themâhe was Vivek Rathodâs childhood friend. How could they betray him like this? How could they kill him and my mother? Aarvi said, her voice growing steadier.
Darshilâs grip on her tightened, his jaw clenching as he tried to suppress his anger.
Even if you meet them, what difference will it make? Theyâre selfish, greedy people. They donât deserve your time, Hazel. Youâll only end up more hurt. Darshil said
Aarvi cupped his face, her touch gentle yet determined.
Darshil, I know you want to protect me, and I love you for it. But this isnât just about them. Itâs about me finding closure. I need to hear it from them, even if itâs painful. Please... let me do this. Aarvi said
Darshil looked into her pleading eyes, his resolve wavering. He hated the idea of her facing the Rathods again, but he couldnât deny her the closure she sought.
Fine, Hazel. But I have one condition. Darshil said
What is it? Aarvi asked
Weâll bring them here, to the Rajvanshi House. I donât want you going to their home, where they can corner or manipulate you. Here, Iâll be with you every step of the way. Darshil said
Aarvi nodded, grateful for his support.
Thank you, Darshil. Iâll never forget how much youâve stood by me. Aarvi said
Darshil sighed, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
Youâre my wife, Hazel. Itâs my duty to protect you, even from your own pain. But Iâll do this because I know itâs important to you. Just promise me one thing. Darshil said
Anything. Aarvi said
If at any point it becomes too much, if you feel like you canât handle it, youâll let me step in. Donât try to be strong for anyone else. Just trust me. Darshil said
Aarvi placed her hand over his heart, her voice filled with emotion.
I promise, Darshil. I trust you with everything I have. Aarvi said
Darshil nodded, his protective demeanor softening just a bit. He pulled out his phone and made a call to Shiv.
Shiv I want you to do something. Darshil said
Is everything under control? How's Aarvi? Shiv asked
She is fine, for now. Darshil said
Okay then, tell me what do you want me to do. Shiv said
Get the Rathods here. I donât care what excuse you use, but I want them at the Rajvanshi House by this evening. Darshil said
Okay.....It will done. Shiv said
Darshil ended the call and turned back to Aarvi.
Itâs done. Theyâll be here soon. Darshil said
Aarvi gave him a small, appreciative smile, though her eyes still held the weight of the pain she carried.
Thank you, Darshil. For everything. Aarvi whispered
Darshil leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.
The grand hall of the Rajvanshi house felt heavy with tension as Darshil waited for the Rathods to arrive. Nandini ji, Poorva and Ruhi went out for the wedding shopping. Aarvi sat silently on the sofa, her hands clenching tightly, her face pale but determined.
When the main door opened, Vivek and Anjali Rathod entered, their faces filled with disdain and a hint of fear. Shiv stood behind them, his expression cold, making it clear he had brought them here against their will.
Well, whatâs this about? Dragging us here like criminals? Havenât we suffered enough thanks to your wife, Mr. Rajvanshi? Vivek said sarcastically
Youâre here because of your crimes, Rathod. And tonight, youâll answer for them. Darshil said, his voice cold
Vivekâs face twisted in annoyance, while Anjali looked visibly uncomfortable. Aarvi, sitting nearby, caught their gaze.
Oh, look at her. The âgreat Aarvi,â the new owner of everything we built. What else do you want from us? Havenât you done enough damage already? Anjali said
Darshilâs jaw clenched as he stepped forward, his towering presence silencing them.
Enough. Youâre not here to spew venom at Aarvi. Youâre here to explain why you murdered her parents. Darshil said
Both Vivek and Anjali froze, their expressions shifting from indignation to shock.
Murder? What nonsense are you talking about? Aditya and his wife died in an accident. It was a tragedy, nothing more. Vivek said while laughing nervously
Donât play games with me. We know the truth. We know you bribed Ramesh Yadav, the truck driver. We know about the payments from your account right after their deaths. You killed them for their property and betrayed your childhood friend. Darshil said
Anjali gasped, her face turning pale. Vivek, however, tried to keep his composure.
Thatâs a lie! You have no proof of anything. Aditya was my friend; why would I ever hurt him? Vivek said
You tell us. Maybe because youâre a greedy, spineless coward who wanted what wasnât yours? Shiv said as he smirked coldly
Anjali grabbed Vivekâs arm, whispering in panic.
Vivek, letâs leave. We donât have to answer their baseless accusations. Anjali said
Before they could turn, the sound of steady footsteps echoed in the room. Avinash entered, carrying a folder in his hands.
Youâre not going anywhere, Mr. and Mrs. Rathod. Itâs time you faced the consequences of your actions. Avinash said
Avinash handed the folder to Darshil, who opened it and held up the evidence.
Bank statements, witness accounts, and Ramesh Yadavâs confession. Do you really want me to go public with this, or will you finally admit the truth? Darshil said
Vivekâs mask of composure began to slip, his eyes darting nervously between Darshil and Shiv. Aarvi stood up then, her voice trembling but strong.
I wish you weren't lying. Aarvi said
Vivekâs gaze landed on her, his expression hardening.
Donât act so innocent, Aarvi. Youâve ruined everything for us. Youâre nothing but a curse in our lives! Vivek said
Darshil stepped in front of Aarvi protectively.
Mind your words, Vivek Rathod. If you dare insult my wife again, I swear you wonât leave this house alive. Darshil said, his voice cold and lethal.
Vivek finally snapped under the pressure.
Fine! Yes, I killed Aditya and his wife! Are you happy now? I had no choice! Vivek said
The air was thick with tension as Vivek Rathod's voice echoed in the room. His confession hung heavy, but Aarvi, shaking and pale, took a step forward, her voice trembling yet resolute.
You killed my parents... the people who trusted you, loved you like family. Why, Rathod? Why would you betray them like this? My father considered you his brother! Aarvi said
Vivek scoffed, his expression turning bitter as he laughed coldly.
Brother? Don't make me laugh, Aarvi. I never loved Aditya. I hated him! Vivek said
What? But you grew up together....he always spoke so high of you. Aarvi said
That's the problem! Aditya was always first -first in school, first in sports, first in life. Everyone adored him while I was always left in his shadow. My parents compared me to him endlessly, and it only fueled my hatred. Vivek said
Aarvi's breath hitched as she absorbed his words, but Vivek wasn't done.
I made him think I was his friend. It wasn't hard. Aditya was naive, trusting. When we grew older, I manipulated my way into his life, got a job at his office, and started siphoning money from him. But he never suspected a thing because, in his eyes, I was his 'brother'. Vivek said
Darshil's fists clenched, his knuckles whitening. Shiv moved forward as if to strike Vivek, but Darshil stopped him with a raised hand, his sharp eyes fixed on Rathod.
You... you used him? And then you killed him? For what, money? Power? Aarvi asked in pain and amusement
Yes, Aarvi. Your father made it so easy for me. One day, he told me if anything ever happened to him, he'd leave everything to you, and I would be your guardian. Do you know what that sounded like to me? Opportunity. Vivek said
Aarvi gasped, stepping back as if his words physically struck her.
I decided that night I would make his words come true- on my terms. I staged the accident, killed Aditya and Vasudha, and then adopted you, Aarvi. You were my golden ticket to wealth and power. Everything was going perfectly until he arrived. Vivek said and then glared at Darshil
What you mean to say, Rathod, is that your plan fell apart because you couldn't handle a man who doesn't cower in the face of evil. Darshil said
You ruined everything, Darshil! If it weren't for you, Aarvi would've been too broken to fight back, and I would've controlled everything! Vivek said
Aarvi's legs gave way, and she sank to the floor, clutching her chest. Darshil immediately knelt beside her, wrapping his arms around her protectively.
You... you never loved my parents. You never cared for me. I was just a pawn in your game. Aarvi said
Exactly. You were nothing but a means to an end. If Aditya hadn't been so blind, he'd have seen through me. But he didn't, and it cost him everything. Vivek said
You just confessed to murder, Rathod. Thereâs no escaping this now. Darshil said
Aarvi's sobs turned into shuddering breaths. She clutched Darshil's shirt, her voice trembling with rage.
Darshil....I want them behind bars, Darshil. I want them to suffer for every tear they've caused me, for every ounce of pain my parents endured. I want the worst punishment for them. Aarvi said
Darshil nodded, his voice calm but deadly.
Make the call. Darshil said to Avinash
Avinash pulled out his phone, dialing the police. Meanwhile, Darshil rose to his full height, pulling Aarvi with him, keeping her steady in his arms.
Wait.....you can't do this. Vivek say something. Anjali said in panic
The only thing left for him to say is his goodbyes. Shiv said coldly
Moments later, the sound of police sirens filled the air. The Rathods' panic was palpable.
No wait! .....we can't lose this way.....Anjali said desperately
You already lost everything the moment you decided to kill my parents. Aarvi said, her voice breaking.
Darshil wrapped an arm around Aarvi, pulling her close as she broke down again.
You deserve every bit of the suffering thatâs coming your way. And trust me, Rathod, Iâll make sure you pay for every tear my Aarvi has shed. Darshil said
You'll regret this, Rajvanshi! I'll make you pay! Vivek said
Darshil Smirks coldly.
You're in no position to make threats, Rathod. Your game is over. Darshil said
The police entered the hall, and Darshil handed over the folder of evidence, along with a recording of Vivek's confession.
Vivek Rathod, Anjali Rathod, you are under arrest for the murders of Aditya and Vasudha Chauhan, among other charges. The Inspector said
As the Rathods were handcuffed and dragged away, Vivek thrashed, shouting curses at Darshil and Aarvi.
Justice... Ma, papa, you'll finally have justice. Aarvi said to herself with a brave smile
Darshil turned to her, cupping her face gently.
You did it. I am so proud of you. That's my Hazel. And I'll make sure you never have to fight alone. Darshil said with a proud smile.
Aarvi nodded, tears streaming down her face, as she leaned into his embrace, knowing that her parents' killers were finally facing their punishment.
As the police car drove away, taking the Rathods with it, the room was heavy with a mix of relief and somber realization. Aarvi leaned against Darshil, her face pale but resolute. Avinash stepped forward, clearing his throat softly.
Aarvi, I know this is an emotional moment, and youâve been through a lot, but thereâs something we must address now. Avinash said
Aarvi lifted her head from Darshilâs chest, her eyes still red from crying.
What is it? Aarvi asked
Though the property and empire legally belong to you as per your parentsâ will, there are some formalities left. We need your signatures on the documents to complete the transition. Itâs high time you take over your parentsâ legacy and become the rightful head of the Chauhan empire. Avinash said
Aarvi looked at him, her expression conflicted.
Do I have to do it now? I⦠I donât know if Iâm ready. Aarvi said
Darshil gently placed his hands on her shoulders, turning her to face him.
Hazel, you were born for this. This isnât just about the property or the companyâitâs about honoring your parentsâ memory. They built that empire for you, to secure your future. They would want you to take it with pride. Darshil said
Aarvi looked into Darshilâs eyes, finding strength in his unwavering gaze. She took a deep breath and nodded.
Youâre right, Darshil. This isnât just about me. Itâs about them. Aarvi said
Avinash retrieved the documents from his briefcase, spreading them out on the table.
Here are the papers. Once you sign these, the empire will officially be yours. No one will ever have the power to take it away from you. Avinash said
Aarvi sat down, her hands trembling slightly as she picked up the pen. Darshil crouched beside her, his hand resting on hers for support.
Youâre not alone in this, Aarvi. Iâm with you, every step of the way. Darshil said
Aarvi smiled faintly at his words and steadied herself. With determination shining through her eyes, she signed the documents one by one. As she placed the pen down, Avinash smiled warmly.
Congratulations, Aarvi. Youâre now officially the head of Chauhan Industries and the rightful owner of your parentsâ legacy. Avinash said
Darshil leaned in, kissing her forehead softly.
Your parents would be so proud of you, Aarvi. Darshil said
This is for them, Darshil. Iâll protect everything they built. Iâll make sure their legacy continues to shine. Aarvi said
Darshil pulled her into a comforting hug as Avinash packed the documents.
Iâll handle the rest of the legal formalities. For now, Aarvi, just take a moment to breathe. Youâve earned it. Avinash said and he walks out of the mansion with Shiv.
Aarvi closed her eyes, holding onto Darshil as the weight of the moment settled over her, a mixture of grief and newfound resolve.
