TWO WEEKS LATER:

The Rajvanshi mansion buzzed with energy, laughter, and the vibrant chaos of wedding preparations which was just a week to go. The halls were adorned with marigold garlands and fairy lights, and the faint aroma of sweets and flowers lingered in the air. Aarvi had fully immersed herself in the preparations, her focus on making Poorva’s wedding the most memorable day of her life.

Aarvi was in the living room, surrounded by fabric swatches, jewelry sets, and guest lists. Ruhi sat beside her, holding a basket of bangles, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Nandini ji was on the couch, sipping her tea, while Poorva stood by, trying on her bridal jewelry.

Poorva, this necklace doesn’t match the lehenga we chose. Let’s try the other one. Aarvi said

Aarvi, you’re being way too picky! I’m sure it looks fine. Poorva said

Fine isn’t enough for my sister-in-law on her big day. You have to look perfect. Aarvi said and Poorva gave a pride smile.

Ruhi giggled, holding up a bright pink bangle.

Bua, wear this one. It’s so pretty! Ruhi said

Ruhi, you have better taste than Aarvi bhabhi. Poorva said with a teasing smile

Excuse me! I’m the official stylist here. Aarvi said making a pout which made Poorva and Ruhi laugh.

Nandini ji chuckled, watching their banter.

It feels so good to see this house filled with laughter. Aarvi, you’ve brought light back into this home. Nandini ji said

Dadi, this family gave me love when I needed it most. Now it’s my turn to give back. Aarvi said with a smile.

Poorva picked up another necklace and showed it to Aarvi.

What about this Aarvi? Poorva asked

Yes..... that's much more beautiful. Aarvi said with the smile.

The entire afternoon was hectic for all of them, choosing outfits and jwellery for functions.

Later, Aarvi was in the garden. While she was instructing the decorators in the garden, Darshil walked in, his sleeves rolled up and a faint smirk on his face. He leaned against a pillar, watching her command the workers with authority.

Bossing everyone around again, Mrs. Rajvanshi? Darshil asked

Aarvi turned to him.

Someone has to ensure things are perfect. Aarvi said

You’ve been running around all day. When was the last time you ate? Darshil asked

Darshil, I’m fine. There’s so much to do. All the wedding functions are going to start in 2 days and we haven't even completed the preparations. Aarvi said

Everything will be completed on time, I promise. But my dear Hazel, I don’t want you fainting in the middle of the wedding chaos. Take a break. Now. Darshil said stepping closer.

He grabbed her hand and led her to the dining table inside, where a plate of her favorite snacks was waiting.

Darshil.... Aarvi said trying to resist

You’ve been working non-stop, but you’re forgetting something important. Darshil said

And what’s that? Aarvi asked

Your smile. That’s what makes all this chaos worth it. Darshil said

Aarvi blushed, picking at the snacks while Darshil sat beside her, his protective gaze never leaving her.

Happy now? Aarvi said showing her cute smile

Very happy. Darshil said

Later, the family gathered in the living room for a casual chat. Ruhi was sitting on Aarvi’s lap, twirling her hair, while Poorva teased Darshil about his serious demeanor.

Bhai, you’ve been staring at Aarvi all day. It’s a wedding, not your honeymoon! Poorva said

What can I do? Your bhabhi keeps stealing my attention. Darshil said

Are you going to steal her like in the movies? Ruhi asked innocently

The room erupted in laughter as Darshil ruffled Ruhi’s hair, while Aarvi playfully nudged him.

This is the family I always prayed for. Ruhi, come here. Let’s plan how we’ll tease Poorva and Shiv at the wedding. Nandini ji said with a smile

Yes, Dadi! I’ll steal Shiv uncle’s shoes too! Ruhi said

I'll join you Ruhi. Aarvi said

Yeipeeeee. Ruhi said excitedly

The room was again filled with laughter and joy as Ruhi twirled around the living room, pretending to be a bride, while Aarvi and everyone else watched her with a soft smile. Ruhi soon ran to Aarvi, climbed onto her lap, and started playing with her hair.

Chachi, your hair is so soft! When I grow up, I want hair just like yours! Ruhi said

I do agree to this for sure. Darshil said

You’ll have the prettiest hair, Ruhi. Just wait and see. Aarvi said

Ruhi leaned her head on Aarvi’s shoulder, letting out a happy sigh. Aarvi's heart swelled with warmth as she stroked Ruhi’s hair gently. A thought that had been lingering in her mind for days suddenly took form. She bit her lip, deep in thought.

Later that night, Aarvi lay beside Darshil, who was reading a document. She stared at the ceiling, gathering the courage to bring up the idea that had taken root in her heart.

Darshil? Aarvi said in hesitation

Yes Hazel. Darshil said

Aarvi sat up, fidgeting with the edge of her dupatta.

There’s something I’ve been thinking about. I don’t know how you’ll react, but… I feel like I need to tell you. Aarvi said

What is it? You can tell me anything. Darshil said setting up the documents aside

Aarvi took a deep breath, her voice trembling slightly.

I… I want to adopt Ruhi. I want to be her mother… legally. Aarvi said

Darshil froze for a moment, his eyes wide with surprise.

Hazel, are you sure? This is a big decision. Darshil said

I’ve never been more sure of anything. Ruhi has already become a part of my heart, Darshil. I want to give her the love and care she deserves, not just as her chachi but as her mother. Aarvi said

Darshil’s initial surprise melted into a warm smile. He reached out and cupped her face.

You never fail to amaze me, Aarvi. Do you know how beautiful your heart is? This decision of yours… it only makes me love you more. Darshil said

Aarvi’s eyes glistened with emotion as she held his hand against her cheek.

So, you’re okay with it? You’re not upset that I didn’t discuss this with you earlier? Aarvi asked

Upset? Hazel, I couldn’t be happier. Ruhi is already like a daughter to me, and the fact that you want to make this official… it’s everything I could’ve hoped for. Darshil said

Darshil pulled her into his arms, holding her close.

Thankyou Darshil. Aarvi said

We’ll talk to Dadi, Poorva, and everyone tomorrow. But let me tell you, Hazel, Ruhi is so lucky to have you. And I’m lucky too. Darshil said

Aarvi smiled against his chest, her heart feeling lighter than it had in days.

Next morning, at breakfast, Aarvi and Darshil exchanged a glance. Aarvi was nervous, but Darshil squeezed her hand under the table, silently encouraging her.

What’s with the secret smiles? Is there something we should know? Nandini ji asked

Actually, yes, Dadi. Aarvi and I have something important to discuss. Darshil said

Dadi… Poorva… we’ve decided to adopt Ruhi. I want to be her mother legally. Aarvi said after taking a dee breath

The room went silent for a moment before Nandini ji’s eyes filled with tears.

Aarvi, beta, you’ve made this old woman’s heart so happy. Ruhi couldn’t ask for a better mother. You’ve given her everything already, and now you’re giving her a name, a future. Nandini ji said

Poorva smiled warmly, reaching out to hold Aarvi’s hand.

Aarvi, you’ve always been a mother figure to Ruhi. This just makes it official. I’m so happy for her. Poorva said

Ruhi, oblivious to the seriousness of the conversation, came running in with a toy, but Nandini ji pulled her close, planting a kiss on her forehead.

Ruhi, from today, Aarvi is not just your chachi. She’s your mamma now! Nandini ji said

Ruhi looked at Aarvi with wide eyes.

Really, chachi? You’ll be my mamma? Ruhi asked

Aarvi pulled her in her lap with a smile.

Yes, my little angel. Would you like that? Aarvi asked

Yes! I always wanted a mamma like you! Ruhi said hugging her tightly.

Darshil smiled at the scene, his heart swelling with pride and love for Aarvi.

Well, that settles it. We’ll start the legal process today itself. Darshil said

The next two days at Rajvanshi House were filled with an energy unlike any other. The house buzzed with excitement as family and staff worked tirelessly to ensure Poorva and Shiv’s wedding would be perfect. The entire house was being decorated with vibrant flowers, elegant fabrics, and twinkling lights. The grand staircase had garlands of jasmine and marigold hanging from every rail, and the walls were adorned with soft, glowing lanterns.

Aarvi, despite everything she had been through, found herself immersed in the celebrations. She worked alongside Poorva and Nandini ji , directing the workers, making sure everything was in place.

Poorva, what do you think of these roses? Should we use them in the welcome area or the mandap? Aarvi asked while arranging the flowers.

They’re perfect for the mandap, Bhabhi! It’ll look so beautiful with the white fabric we chose. I can’t believe the wedding is so close now! Poorva said

Aarvi smiled at Poorva, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.

It feels like we’ve been waiting for this moment forever, doesn’t it? Aarvi said

Yes and I can't wait. Poorva said as she wrapped her hands around Aarvi affectionately.

The preparations continued for hours, with everyone pitching in. Nandini ji seemed to be everywhere at once, making sure no detail was overlooked. Darshil, always by Aarvi’s side, helped with whatever she needed, though he was mostly busy handling important meetings over the phone. Ruhi, however, was always near Aarvi, picking up small tasks and happily running around, giggling as she helped set up.

As the day wound down, the chaos of preparations settled into a calm evening. Poorva, exhausted from the day’s work, found herself sitting in a corner of the garden, taking a moment to relax. Shiv, noticing she was alone, slipped away from the crowd and joined her, sitting beside her on the bench.

You know, Poorva, for someone who’s been running around all day, you look stunning. Shiv said with a smile

You say that to every bride, don’t you? Poorva asked playfully

Shiv chuckled, his eyes softening as he looked at her.

Not every bride. Only the one who’s going to marry me. Shiv said

Poorva blushed, the warmth between them palpable.

Shiv, I can’t believe the wedding is so close. It feels like everything’s moving so fast. Poorva said

Time flies when you're with the right person. I can’t wait to spend my life with you. Shiv said taking her hand in his.

Poorva looked at him, her heart fluttering with excitement.

Me neither, Shiv. I never thought this day would come, but now that it’s almost here… I feel like the luckiest woman in the world. Poorva said

Shiv leaned in, his face inches from hers.

I feel the same. I just wish we could be alone for a little while, just you and me, before everything changes. Shiv said

But just as Shiv was about to kiss Poorva, they heard footsteps approaching, and both turned to see Nandini ji standing in the doorway, her mischievous smile evident.

Ahem! Am I interrupting something? Seems like my dear granddaughter is getting a little too cozy with my soon-to-be grandson-in-law. Nandini ji said

Poorva and Shiv jumped apart, both blushing.

Dadi, we were just… Shiv said laughing nervously

Nandini ji smiled again and winked

No need to explain. I know exactly what’s going on here. But let me remind you both—there are only three days left until the wedding. I believe it’s time you two stopped sneaking off alone and started spending time together in front of the family. Bride and groom shouldn't meet alone before wedding. What do you say, Aarvi? Nandini ji said

Aarvi, who had been passing by with Ruhi, paused and gave Dadi a teasing smile.

Dadi’s right, Poorva. No more secret meetings. Aarvi said

Shiv and Poorva exchanged amused glances, their faces flushed.

Fine, fine. We’ll keep it to family time from now on. Shiv said

But Dadi, you have to promise no more interruptions when we’re just talking! Poorva said

I make no promises, dear. I’m your grandmother. I have the right to tease you both as much as I want. Nandini ji said with a wide grin

Shiv and Poorva sigh together.

Fine my dear Dadi. Poorva said and hugged Nandini ji

That night, the family gathered around the dining table, the warm glow of candlelight casting a soft ambiance over the room. Everyone was in high spirits, with Darshil and Aarvi sitting together, laughing and enjoying the dinner. Poorva and Shiv sat next to each other, exchanging playful glances while Nandini ji shared stories from her youth.

When I was young, I remember my wedding preparations being just as chaotic. But you know, we didn’t have all these fancy decorations and arrangements. We just made do with what we had. I remember how I used to get so nervous that I couldn’t eat for days before the wedding! Nandini ji said

Dadi, I can’t imagine you being nervous. You always seem so strong and confident! Aarvi said

Oh, I was! But I was a nervous bride. Your grandfather was the calm one in those days. He would tell me, 'Don’t worry, we’ll make it through. We’ve got each other.' Nandini ji said

I guess some things don’t change, huh? It’s the same with me and Poorva. I’m the calm one, and she… Shiv said while looking at Poorva and she interrupted

I’m the one with all the excitement and nervous energy. I know, Shiv. Poorva said

And what else used to happen in your wedding? Ruhi asked

Oh, it was nothing like today’s extravagant functions. Back then, the whole village came together to help. As I said, we didn’t have fancy decorators or caterers. The women in the family cooked together, and the men set up tents. It was simple but so meaningful. Nandini ji said

Dadi, what about the rituals? Were they as long as they are now? Shiv asked

Shiv beta, they were even longer! The priest back then loved to explain every mantra in detail. Your Dadaji almost dozed off during the ceremony! Nandini ji said

The family burst into laughter at the image of a young Dadaji struggling to stay awake.

But that must have made it even more special, right, Dadi? Everyone coming together to celebrate love and family. Aarvi said

Absolutely, beta. It wasn’t about the grandeur; it was about the togetherness. And your Dadaji… despite being grumpy during the rituals, he made sure I had the best life afterward. Nandini ji said

Everyone laughed, the atmosphere warm and loving.

Sounds like something I’d do, doesn’t it, Aarvi? Grumpy on the outside but the best husband otherwise. Darshil said

Grumpy? Yes. Best husband? Hmm… the jury’s still out on that one. Aarvi said with a teasing smile

The family laughed at Darshil’s mock-offended expression.

What’s a jury? Does it taste like papad? Ruhi asked

No, my little angel. It’s not food. It means people who decide if something is true. Aarvi said

Then I’m the jury. And I say my chachu is the best husband! Ruhi said

Darshil grinned and high-fived Ruhi.

Finally, someone who appreciates me in this house! Darshil said

Poorva, do you think you’ll ever tell such stories about our wedding someday? Shiv asked

I don’t know, Shiv. Let’s see if you give me anything to remember. Poorva said in a teasing tone

Challenge accepted. Shiv said

Nandini ji smiled warmly, watching the banter between her grandchildren.

You all remind me of what truly matters—love, laughter, and being together. Poorva, your wedding isn’t just about rituals or celebrations. It’s about building a life filled with these moments. Nandini ji said

Dadi, you’re the heart of this family. These stories you share… they make everything feel so alive. Aarvi said

And you, Aarvi, have brought so much love to this house. I see it every day in the way Ruhi clings to you, the way Darshil smiles more, even in how the air feels lighter. Nandini ji said

Darshil reached for Aarvi’s hand under the table, giving it a gentle squeeze.

That’s because my Hazel is the light we didn’t know we needed. Darshil said

Aarvi blushed at his words, while the family playfully teased them. The dinner continued with laughter and shared memories, each moment strengthening the bond between them.

For the next 3 days, the mansion transformed into a vibrant canvas of festivities as the wedding functions began. Guests arrived, laughter echoed through the halls, and the scent of fresh marigolds filled the air. Each event was celebrated with grandeur, love, and togetherness.

It was the Haldi Ceremony, the courtyard was decorated with yellow drapes, turmeric bowls, and flower petals. Poorva sat on a low stool, dressed in a simple yellow outfit, her face glowing with happiness. Shiv, on the other hand, was teased mercilessly by his friends including Darshil.

Don’t be shy, Shiv. This is just turmeric, not poison! Nandini ji said

Dadi, the way your hands are ready with that bowl, I’m not so sure! Shiv said

The family burst into laughter. Aarvi was busy smearing turmeric on Poorva’s cheeks, her giggles contagious.

Poorva, this is for all the times you made fun of me. Revenge is sweet! Aarvi said

You better run, Aarvi, because once this is over, it’s my turn! Poorva said

Darshil walked in, wearing a yellow kurta, and stood watching Aarvi with a smile.

Is there a turmeric war going on here, or can anyone join? Darshil asked

Oh, you’re next, Mr. Rajvanshi! Aarvi said

Before Darshil could react, Aarvi and Ruhi smeared turmeric on his face.

Alright, you asked for it! Darshil said

He chased Aarvi around the courtyard, grabbing her from behind and twirl her in his arms making her laugh, the family cheering and laughing.

The next evening was a burst of colors. The women sat in a circle, getting intricate mehndi designs on their hands, while the men gathered around to joke and enjoy snacks. Aarvi sat beside Poorva, holding her hand as the mehndi artist worked.

Poorva, are you nervous? Aarvi asked

Not really. I’m excited. Shiv makes everything so easy. Poorva said

You’re lucky to have him. He adores you. Aarvi said

Just like Bhai adores you, Aarvi. Poorva said

Aarvi blushed, and Darshil, who was nearby, caught her reaction.

What are you two gossiping about now? Darshil asked

Nothing, Bhai. Just saying how much you’re whipped for Aarvi. Poorva said

And proud of it. Darshil said with a smile

The room erupted in cheers and whistles.

Meanwhile, Ruhi ran up to Aarvi, showing her tiny hands with simple mehndi designs.

See Chachi, do you like it? Ruhi asked

It’s perfect, just like you. Aarvi said as she kissed her forehead.

The grand hall was transformed into a stage with fairy lights, a dance floor, and music booming. Guests arrived dressed in glamorous outfits. Poorva and Shiv sat on a decorated sofa, the center of attention.

The late evening began with performances. Aarvi and Darshil were seated together when Ruhi tugged on Aarvi’s hand.

Chachi, you promised to dance with me! Ruhi said

Alright, let’s go. Aarvi said

Aarvi and Ruhi danced to a lively song, their moves energetic and joyful while Darshil watches her with a smile.

She lights up every room she enters. Darshil said

Shiv leaned over to Darshil.

And every heart too. You’re a lucky man, Darshil.

As the performances continued, Poorva and Shiv were coaxed to the dance floor. They danced to a romantic song, their chemistry making everyone cheer.

Then, the family called out Darshil and Aarvi to join.

No way, I can’t dance in front of everyone! Aarvi said

You can with me. Darshil said holding her hand

Aarvi hesitated but took his hand. They danced gracefully, their eyes locked, and the world seemed to fade away. The family clapped and cheered as the couple shared a tender moment.

You two were made for each other. Nandini ji said

After the event, Aarvi and Darshil sat on the terrace, watching the stars.

These past few days have been magical. Aarvi said

It’s because you’ve been a part of them. Darshil said and brushed his lips softly on hers.

Aarvi blushed and rested her head on his chest.

The next day, Rajvanshi house glimmered under the sunset, its courtyard adorned with roses, jasmine, and marigold garlands. A red carpet led to the grand mandap, draped in gold and white fabric, shimmering under the chandeliers. Guests filled the space, their laughter and joy blending with the soft strains of shehnai music.

Shiv, dressed in a cream sherwani with intricate golden embroidery and a red turban, waited anxiously on the stage. He adjusted his stole nervously, his eyes darting toward the stairs. Darshil teased him from the side.

Relax, Shiv. Poorva isn’t running away. Or are you afraid she’ll change her mind? Darshil said

Darshil, don't jinx it. Shiv said as he grins

Suddenly, everyone turned toward the stairs, and a hush fell over the crowd. Poorva appeared, dressed in an orange and gold lehenga, her dupatta draped elegantly over her head. She descended the stairs with Nandini ji holding her hand, her smile radiant yet shy. Shiv kept his hand on his heart as he saw Poorva in the breadth taking attire.

Aarvi stood by the side, her eyes filled with affection and blessings as she watched Poorva. Darshil leaned toward her.

She looks like a queen, doesn’t she? Darshil said

She does. And so happy. Aarvi said with a smile

Poorva reached the stage and stood in front of Shiv, her eyes searching his for reassurance.

How do I look? Poorva asked nervously

Like the answer to every prayer I’ve ever whispered. Shiv whispered in her ear leaning slightly

Poorva's cheeks flushed as she smiled.

The pandit called them to the mandap, and the wedding rituals began. Shiv and Poorva exchanged garlands amidst the cheers of the crowd. Aarvi and Darshil stood close, smiling as they watched the ceremony.

Bride and groom, please take your seats for the pheras. Pandit ji said

Poorva and Shiv sat down, listening to the sacred mantras. They performed the rituals, from the kanyadaan to the sindoor ceremony, with reverence and joy.

As Shiv tied the mangalsutra around Poorva’s neck, he whispered again.

With this , you’re mine. Always. Shiv said

And you're mine. Poorva said with a smile

The final phera was taken, and the pandit declared them husband and wife. The family erupted in cheers, showering the couple with flower petals.

After the rituals, Poorva and Shiv stood before the elders to take their blessings. They both first touches Nandini ji’s feet.

Shiv, take care of her. She’s the apple of my eye. Nandini ji said wiping her tears

I promise, Dadi. She’s my life now too. Shiv said

Aarvi hugged Poorva tightly, her eyes glitsened with unshed tears.

You’ve been my sister and my best friend. I’ll miss you so much. Aarvi said

I’m not going far, Aarvi. And you’re always welcome to visit. Poorva said with teary eyes.

Darshil embraced Shiv warmly.

She’s precious to all of us, Shiv. Make sure she’s always smiling. Darshil said

I will, Darshil. That’s a promise. Shiv said

The time for the vidai arrived, and the mood turned somber. Poorva hugged Dadi, Aarvi, and Darshil one by one, her tears flowing freely.

I’ll miss you all so much. Take care of Dadi and Ruhi, okay? Poorva said while crying

We will, but you better not forget to call every day. Aarvi said holding her.

Poorva nodded, her voice choked with emotion.

Shiv took her hand gently and led her toward the decorated car.

It’s okay, Poorva. I’m here. And I am not going to see any other tear after this, okay? This is the last time I am letting you cry. Shiv said with a smile

Poorva smiled through her tears.

As the car began to move, Poorva leaned out, waving to her family with tears in her eyes.

Darshil wrapped an arm around Aarvi’s shoulders as they watched the car disappear into the distance.

She’s starting a new chapter. And she’s in good hands. Darshil said

I know. But it’s hard to let her go. Aarvi said leaning on him

The Rajvanshi house was quieter than usual after Poorva’s wedding, but there was a buzz of anticipation in the air. Darshil sat in his study, papers scattered across his desk, as Aarvi walked in with a tray of tea.

Still working? You’ve been at this all morning. Aarvi said placing the tray.

I’m almost done. Just finalizing the application for Ruhi’s adoption. Darshil said

Aarvi’s eyes softened as she sat beside him.

You really are doing everything, aren’t you? You’ve already given her a family, a home, and love. This is just a formality. Aarvi said

It’s not just a formality, Hazel. This will make it official. Ruhi will legally be our daughter, and no one will ever be able to question it. Darshil said holding Aarvi's hand.

You’re right. She deserves this security. Thank you for making this possible. Aarvi said as Darshil held her in his embrace.

The day had arrived when Darshil and Aarvi would officially apply for Ruhi’s adoption. The couple, accompanied by Shiv and Poorva, entered the family court with a mix of emotions—excitement, nervousness, and overwhelming joy.

In the court office, the lawyer, Mr. Mehta, greeted them warmly.

Mr. Rajvanshi, Mrs. Rajvanshi, it’s good to see you both. I’ve prepared all the paperwork for Ruhi’s adoption. Once we submit this application, we’ll wait for the court’s approval and final hearing. Mr. Mehta said

Thank you, Mr. Mehta. Is there anything else we should know? Aarvi asked

Just that the court usually favors cases like yours, where the child is already in the custody of the adoptive parents and in a loving environment. But you’ll need to sign these forms to begin the process. Mr. Mehta said

Darshil and Aarvi exchanged a glance. Darshil reached out and placed a comforting hand on Aarvi’s.

Ready, Hazel? Darshil asked

More than ever. Aarvi said with a smile

They signed the documents together, their hearts swelling with emotion as their names were officially tied to Ruhi’s.

Over the next few days, the family anxiously awaited news from the court. Aarvi spent her time ensuring Ruhi felt loved and cherished, while Darshil handled the legal formalities and logistics. One evening, as Aarvi tucked Ruhi into bed, the little girl looked up at her with curious eyes.

Two weeks later, the family received the news that the court had approved their application, and a final hearing was scheduled. On the day of the hearing, Darshil, Aarvi, Nandini ji, and Poorva dressed in their finest, ready for the monumental moment. Ruhi, unaware of the significance of the day, clung to Aarvi’s hand, excited to be part of the outing.

In the courtroom, the judge, a kind-faced woman in her fifties, addressed them.

Mr. and Mrs. Rajvanshi, I’ve reviewed your case. It’s clear that Ruhi has been in a loving and stable environment. Do you both understand the responsibilities of being her legal parents? The judge asked

Yes, Your Honor. Ruhi is not just our responsibility—she’s our family, our daughter in every sense of the word. Darshil said confidently.

The judge smiled and turned to Aarvi.

Mrs. Rajvanshi, do you have anything to add? The judge asked

Aarvi’s voice trembled slightly as she spoke.

Your Honor, Ruhi has brought light into our lives. I promise to give her all the love and care she deserves, to protect her, and to be there for her in every moment. She’s my daughter, not by birth, but by heart. Aarvi said

The judge nodded, visibly moved.

Very well. I hereby declare Ruhi Rajvanshi as the legal daughter of Mr. Darshil Rajvanshi and Mrs. Aarvi Rajvanshi. Congratulations. The judge said

Aarvi, Nandini ji and Poorva's eyes glitsened with tears of joy and everyone was so happy. Darshil and Aarvi hugged Ruhi and kissed on her forehead.

Back at the mansion, the atmosphere was electric with celebration. Nandini ji performed an aarti for Aarvi, Darshil, and Ruhi as they entered the house.

Today, our family is truly complete. Ruhi, you are the heart of this home. Nandini ji said

Ruhi looked up at Aarvi and Darshil, her eyes wide.

Aarvi knelt down, pulling Ruhi into a tight hug.

Ruhi, from today, I’m your mummy and Darshil is your papa. Forever. Aarvi said with a smile

Ruhi’s face lit up, and she hugged Aarvi tightly.

Really? I have a mummy and papa now? Ruhi asked

Darshil picked her up, his eyes filled with love.

Not just a mummy and papa, Ruhi. You have a family that loves you endlessly. Darshil said

I love you mummy, I love you papa. Ruhi said with a giggke as Aarvi and Darshil hugged her together.

The family celebrated with a small party. Aarvi sat with Ruhi in her lap, both of them laughing as Nandini ji fed them sweets.

I have to admit, seeing you like this makes me a little jealous. You’re a great dad already. Shiv said with a smile.

You’ve got your whole life ahead, Shiv. Your time will come. Darshil said

Darshil wrapped his hands around Aarvi's shoulder as she saw everyone celebrating, she hides her tears of joy.

We are parents now Darshil. I am so happy. Aarvi said with a smile as she looked at the happy faces.

Darshil hugged her tightly.

And you will be the best mother ever, just like the best wife. Darshil said with a smile.

FEW DAYS LATER:

It was late evening when Darshil returned home after a long day at work. The house was unusually quiet, but the soft sound of rain pattering against the windows caught his attention. As he walked towards the garden, a smile formed on his lips.

There she was—Aarvi. She was twirling in the rain, her arms stretched out, her face tilted up to the sky. The joy on her face was infectious, and Darshil felt his heart warm at the sight of her carefree laughter.

He loosened his tie, shrugged off his coat, and stepped out into the rain. Aarvi turned around, surprised to see him standing there.

Darshil! What are you doing? You’ll catch a cold! Aarvi said

And miss this moment? Never. Darshil said

Before she could protest, he strode over, grabbed her by the waist, and twirled her around. Aarvi squealed in surprise but soon joined in with laughter.

Darshil! Put me down! Aarvi said as she giggled

Not until you promise to stay this happy forever. Darshil said

He finally set her down, both of them breathless from laughing. Rain dripped from their hair and clothes, but neither cared. Darshil cupped her face in his hands, his eyes soft as they gazed into hers.

Do you know why this moment feels so special? Darshil asked

Why? Aarvi asked with a knowing smile.

Because this is how our love story began. In the rain. The first time I saw you, Aarvi, you were standing in the rain, and I knew—I just knew—that my life would never be the same. Darshil said

Aarvi’s eyes glistened with emotion as she rested her hands on his chest.

I remember. From crying that night in rain while thinking about you — to this day, standing here with you. Our journey wasn’t easy, Darshil. It wasn’t perfect, but it was beautiful. Aarvi said with a smile

And I wouldn’t change a single thing. Every moment, every challenge, it brought us here, together. Darshil said

He pulled her closer, their foreheads touching as the rain continued to pour around them.

You’re my everything, Darshil. My love, my strength, my life. Aarvi whispered

And you're my home, Hazel. Always and forever. Darshil said

As if the rain itself blessed their love, they leaned into each other, their lips meeting in a deep, passionate kiss. The world faded away as they poured their love, their gratitude, and their promises into that kiss.

When they finally broke apart, Aarvi laughed softly, her eyes sparkling with joy.

We’re drenched, and I’m sure Dadi will scold us for catching a cold. Aarvi said

Let her. It’s worth it. Darshil said as he smirks

He took her hand, and they continued to play in the rain, chasing each other, laughing, and savoring every moment. For the first time in their tumultuous journey, everything felt perfect—peaceful, joyous, and filled with love.

The rain washed away the remnants of their past struggles, leaving behind only hope and happiness. Their story, though far from ordinary, had found its beautiful ending.

And as the rain fell, Darshil and Aarvi stood together, their love shining brighter than ever, ready to embrace the rest of their lives as partners, parents, and soulmates.

THE END.
