“Hmmm. If it’s just them, Monkey will have no problems. Hegara Kinstan and his cronies are just watching though. And judging from their confused looks, I doubt his cronies knew anything. Hegara’s face is as blank as an empty screen, as usual. Do you think they are involved?” Jessica asked Jules.

“I truly don’t know anything about it this time.” Jul’Taras sighed. “As you know, Hegara Kingstan is a disciple of the White Snake Hermit and there are absolutely no spies in that Hermit’s dwelling place.

“It’s better to finish this little battle as soon as possible before he makes a move.” Jessica muttered.

“Monkey! I thought you said you can deal with even Emperor level fighters! Why are you struggling against ten little kids?” Jessica called out with a teasing tone.

“These are ten. Freaking tough. Little kids!” Monkey King grunted in between parries.

“Excuses! Finish them off quickly!” Jessica shouted at him like an unreasonable little child.

Monkey King didn’t bother to reply.

Clang! Clang! Cl-cl-clang!!

The ten Kings attacking Monkey King began to increase their attack speed as a hint of desperation began to show.

They had never experienced fighting against such a tough enemy which simply refused to get hit by their near perfect sequence of attacks!

“His parries are so powerful that our attacks are recoiling hard and dealing slight damage to all of us!”

“Why is this blasted monkey so fast and so strong?!”

Monkey King finally found an opportunity to counter attack and smashed his rod into the face of a pretty woman and blew it completely apart.

“One down. Nine to go!” He growled menacingly.

“Ignore your defense for a while and focus on attacking.” Jul’Taras told him loudly. “You should be able to finish the job before the Sil- errr, protection buff I gave you runs out!”

Immediately, Monkey King stopped parrying and started to trade blows with the nine King Level warriors.

BA-BA-BA-BAMMM!!!!

Without the need to parry, Monkey King unleashed a flurry of deadly attacks on the nine Kings. Within two seconds, the battle was over.

Ten very dead and lifeless King Level warriors crumpled to the ground.

“Whoa. That’s a pretty impressive attack sequence you got there.” Jessica said. “Nine beautifully executed chained-rapid strikes on nine vital points. Well done.”

“Thank you Jess. And Jules, this protection buff of yours, it’s amazing! It’s extremely powerful!” Monkey King said to the girls. “How long will it last? Why do I have a feeling that it’s rechargeable?”

“Against such enemies, it can probably take another twenty or so hits. And yes, it’s… A permanent blessing, and a rare one at that. It can recharge itself and…” Jul’Taras said the final part of her sentence softly.

“Just go and make good your boast.” Jessica noticed Jul’Taras’ awkward tone of voice and pointed at the rest of the crowd impatiently. “You still have a lot of enemies to kill.”

“Completely resisting twenty hits is good enough. Now that I’ve warmed up a little, the rest should be easy.” Monkey King twirled his Ruyi Jinggu Bang casually. “My lady Jul’Taras, the following victory is for you.”

“Go then.” Jul’Taras said with a slightly gentle smile.

Monkey King turned around and walked towards the rest of the Diamond Sponsors.

“Who’s next, you spineless cowards! Step forward and die like the miserable dogs that you are!” Monkey King shouted at the Kings.

The room turned deathly silent for a moment at Monkey King’s words.

RUMBLE! RUMBLE!

Strong shakes began to hit the room as the battle outside intensified.

BAM!!!

The door to the Diamond Sponsor VIP Room suddenly burst open!

An aged but fearsome looking man strode into the room arrogantly as though he was the owner and all of its occupants were his servants.

“Hasaro. Emperor Gatara’s butler.” Jul’Taras said softly. “If Emperor Gatara is with the Demon Guards, then things would get a little bit dicey here. Hopefully he’s just greedy and looking to steal the cake under the noses of the Demon Guards.”

As if answering Jul’Taras’ doubts, Hasaro scanned the room quickly and rested his eyes on Jessica when he found her.

With a benevolent smile, Hasaro ignored the rest of the Kings in the room and made his way towards the trio.

“Jessica Sands. Your life is in grave danger. Emperor Gatara had generously decided to shelter you in consideration of the respect he has for your father and your grandfather. Please follow me, and I will make sure that no harm falls upon you.” He announced with a smile.

“Oh no you don’t!” A couple of dark-skinned elves suddenly sneak attacked Hasaro from two different directions, their throwing knives barely leaving their hands before their own bodies followed at high speed to attack him.

However, Hasaro didn’t even bother to turn and face them. He simply waved both his hands casually and thin streams of glowing pink flames shot out and burned both throwing knives and drows into ashes!

His flame was so intense and powerful that not even a single artifact on the two King level drows remained. And the fact that the flames merely burned their designated target and nothing else showed that Hasaro had reached an incredible level of mastery and control over his flames.

“He is definitely an Emperor level being!” Monkey King thought. “And even if he is not, he’s at the very least a ridiculously overpowered King. I cannot take him lightly.”

“Come. Let’s leave this hotbed of vipers and stay by Emperor Gatara’s side where it’s safe.” Hasaro stretched out his hand gallantly towards Jessica. “I assure you that that not a single strand of you hair would be harmed if you come with me. Not even the Demon Guards would dare to cross Emperor Gatara lightly.”

“Please convey my gratitude to Emperor Gatara, and tell him that he need not worry about me. I am perfectly safe here. My grandfather had made sure that not even a Hegemon could harm me.” Jessica Sands smiled thinly and politely refused Hasaro’s offer.
