Chapter 31: 30.

A Happy Never Ending.(GXG)Words: 5092

The procedure went flawlessly, just as I knew it would. The transfer of the embryos was seamless, and the doctors were more than pleased with the results. I sat beside Tiana as they prepared her for the journey home, a soft smile playing on my lips.

I couldn’t wait for her to wake up, for her to feel the changes starting to unfold. I’d been so careful, so deliberate in every move I made, and now, finally, I could see everything falling into place.

"Everything went perfectly," I whispered to her, stroking her hair as she remained unconscious, her body still and peaceful. "You’re going to be so happy when you wake up."

I stayed by her side the entire ride home, watching her, my heart swelling with pride and affection. The plan was coming to fruition. Soon, Tiana would be everything I wanted her to be—ours. And nothing would stand in my way.

It wasn’t long before Tiana stirred, groggily coming to in our bed, her brow furrowed as if struggling to make sense of the unfamiliar haze in her mind. Her body ached slightly, a dull pain marking her with the signs of the procedure. The cold marks on her skin—where the monitors had been attached, where they had taken her vitals—were faint but unmistakable.

I watched her closely, my hand resting gently on her shoulder as she blinked and looked around, her gaze slowly focusing on me.

"Tiana..." I said softly, leaning closer, my voice warm and reassuring. "How do you feel, my love?"

Her voice was hoarse, tinged with confusion. "Ashantii..." She paused, looking down at the marks on her body. "What happened?"

I could see the fear creeping into her eyes. The fog of the drugs hadn’t completely lifted yet, and I could tell she was trying to piece together what had happened.

I smiled, running my fingers through her hair, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "Shh... it’s okay. You weren’t feeling well, love. I took you to the hospital for a check-up because I was so worried. They had to sedate you for a little while, but everything is fine now. You’re safe."

Her brows furrowed slightly, but she didn’t pull away, her trust in me unshaken. "The hospital…? But… why do I feel so foggy? Why do I have these marks on my body?"

I gently cupped her face, my thumb tracing the line of her jaw. "You needed the rest, my love. They had to do some procedures to make sure everything was perfect. You were just so exhausted. The doctors said it was best to stay under their care until they were sure you were okay."

I could see the hesitation in her eyes, but she was starting to relax into my touch. The fog of confusion clouded her thoughts, but she was still so trusting of me, her mind longing to believe that I had done everything for her well-being.

"Everything’s fine," I continued, my voice soft and filled with affection. "You don’t need to worry about anything. I’ll always take care of you."

Tiana’s gaze softened, her breathing evening out as she settled back against the pillows. She was trusting me. I could see it in her eyes, in the way she relaxed into my arms. She needed me, craved my protection. It was what I had been waiting for—what I had been working toward.

She shifted slightly, a small frown crossing her face. "But… Jones..."

The mention of Jones was like a jolt to my system, but I kept my expression composed, smooth.

"Jones?" I repeated with a fake sad smile, brushing her hair away from her face. "Don’t worry about her, darling. I’ve already had the police investigate the situation. They’re looking into it as we speak. They’ve got everything under control. You don’t need to worry about her anymore."

"But… I still don’t understand." Her voice trailed off, the confusion lingering in her eyes. "?What happened?"

I leaned down, kissing her forehead again. "I knew you were getting the rest you needed, my love. The school had to keep running while you were away. I made sure everything was perfect there before I took you to the hospital. I didn’t want you to worry about anything. You’ve had enough stress in your life. And clearly it's been taking a toll on you. "

I could see her face soften, the guilt and worry lifting from her expression as I held her close.

"You’ve done so much for me," she whispered, her voice quiet, vulnerable. "I feel like I’ve been so out of it, but you’ve taken care of everything. You always do."

"Of course, love," I whispered back, my hand gently caressing her cheek. "I’ll always take care of you. I’ll always protect you. You’re my everything. And nothing will ever change that."

I kissed her again, this time with more fervor, letting my love and dominance wash over her. She melted into me, her body instinctively responding to my touch.

It wasn’t just the drugs. It was the way I made her feel, the way I could manipulate her thoughts and emotions to keep her right where I needed her—under my control, completely and utterly mine.

And as she lay in my arms, I knew the next phase of our life had already begun. Soon, she would be carrying my child, and we’d be a family—together, forever.
