Chapter 30: XXX - "Tux For Soldier"

Silent But Deadly// COMPLETED✔️Words: 13413

The basement of the complex where the prostitutes live is where we keep the people who haven't been so nice. For example: A woman did her service but the man refused to pay. Since he didn't pay a woman for her work, we gather some guys to take him and hold him here so we could teach him a lesson. We also keep men who didn't pay for drugs on time, but that's usually it.

Soldier and I walked down the stairs with Richard and a couple of my members in tow. The horrific smell of the basement filled my nostrils and I coughed a little bit, Soldier sneezed. I'm never going to get used to this goddamn smell.

We walked past the many doors until I stopped at one where the screams of agony were coming from. I brushed my fingers through Soldier's fur for comfort and used the other to unlock the door.

When I walked in, Joe was in a tight dark blue shirt that showed his muscles quite well, his icy blue eyes held fire and the smirk on his face was devilish. His fists were bloody and the man before him was drowning in his own blood, along with purple and blue bruises along his face.

Joe's head shot up to me when I walked through the door and his smirk grew bigger, "You're fucked." He spat. He grabbed his leather jacket and stood in the corner with Richard and I stood in front of the bloodied man. Soldier sat next to me and eyed the man dangerously, and I held a scowl behind my mask.

"Please, please I'm so sorry. I'll pay, I have the money," the man breathed heavily. Soldier barked loudly in response and the man jumped back in fear.

This man, this man disrespects a woman's work and thinks he can get away with it? Now that is just rude, because a woman puts her body up for sale and pushes away her self respect just to make a living. This man doesn't know how much dignity a woman has left because of this line of work, so I'll make sure I give him the best death he'll ever receive.

"Name," I demanded as I grabbed a hammer from the silver tray.

"Frank V-Vintes," he stuttered.

"Franky! Well what the fuck did you think you were doing?" I faked enthusiasm.

"I-I'm s-sorry, please, I have kids, I have a wife-"

"A wife you say?" I asked innocently.

He had a fucking wife?! Does he not have any respect for women? Fuck how did his mom raise this dude?

"Y-yes," he said hesitantly.

"So you decide to marry a woman who gave birth to your beautiful children, and you decide to cheat on her with one of my girls, AND you think she doesn't deserve payment?!" I yelled in his face.

"I-I'm s-sorry," he cried.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to Franky," I said as I swung the hammer in front of his face.

As he started opening his mouth I slammed the hammer into his knee cap, and instead of words coming out he let out a scream.

"You think," I swung the hammer around absentmindedly, "That you can just-"

I swung the hammer into his other knee cap and he let out cries of agony. I set the hammer back down on the tray and instead grabbed the machete and admired the way it shone in the very dim lighting of the room.

"You shouldn't mess with a girl Franky," I said innocently.

"I know, I know," he sighed sadly.

"If you knew, then why would you decide against it?" I asked as I stood behind Frank and did a couple practice swings. I even shook my waist in the air to make it seem like I were golfing which made Richard and Joe chuckle in the corner. Soldier's panting was heard and I couldn't help but think that I loved that dog.

"I wasn't thinking," he admitted.

"Well, let me fix that for you Frank," Before he could process my words, I swung the machete and his head went rolling against the concrete floor. I set the weapon back down and opened the door to see some of my members waiting on the other side.

"Clean it up," I ordered. They all rushed into the room and started gathering the body as the four of us went up the stairs and knocked on the prostitutes door.

After a few seconds she opened it half naked and her face lit up at the sight of me, "Silver! I'm so glad your here!" She exclaimed in a high pitched voice.

"Donna, we killed him," I said bluntly. Donna was a nice girl who had dark skin with black hair and eyes. She was one of our original prostitutes and she's been in business with my brother for awhile.

She smiled brightly and danced around while laughing in victory, "Thank you so much, he was so rude to me," she pouted.

"No worries, you can have the week off if you like," I offered. She nodded her head vigorously and we went outside to the parking lot.

"Where you headed to boss?" Joe asked as they walked us to Robin.

"Meet at the base, I want to see how much our business is improving," I said as Soldier jumped in. They both nodded their heads and we drove to the base.

I looked through the many files and searched through many sheets of paperwork that needed my attention. I looked at shipment information of the guns, contacted our drug breeders, and dealt with the restaurants and hotels that I own now. Since I've been changing the purpose of the gang, more and more paperwork have been stacked up and we've been making more and more profits as well. So the paperwork is worth it as long as everybody has a way to stay on their feet.

Kai had called me earlier to check in and I just told him I was out getting lunch, which reminds me, I need to go get lunch. He talked to me for awhile and said sweet things into the phone which made me feel even more guilty than I already am. I want to tell him so badly, I don't want to keep hiding this away from him. Especially with the Gang's Masquerade Winter Ball just around the corner.

The Winter Ball is apparently an annual thing for the gang's and one gang gets to host the event. So we all have to travel to New York this Winter break and attend it, that's if you're invited. Luckily, I was, along with Joe and Richard. The complicated part is though, what if Kai sees me there? I know there are masks and stuff like that but I'm still worried that he might recognize me, especially with Soldier by my side.

I'll start forming a plan soon since it's only next week, and I still have to get a dress because there's no way in hell I'm going to miss this goddamn ball. I could probably announce my leadership then and hopefully tell Kai beforehand, yeah, maybe that'd be a good idea.

I look down to Soldier who is sleeping on my office floor, and a plan for him suddenly starts forming. I grab my gang phone and text Joe to come into my office, and a few minutes later, there's a knock on my door.

"Come in," I yell. Soldier automatically sits up at my sudden order.

"Yeah boss?" He asks as he sits down in the chair in front of me.

"Winter Ball next week, I need you to have Soldier by your side instead of mine. And don't call him Soldier, call him Rex," I inform him.

"May I ask why Silver?" He asks curiously.

"Well, some men might be there to target me, and they know that Soldier is always by my side. So I can't risk his life, got it?" I explained.

"He might not listen to my orders," he added.

"I'll teach him to, don't worry about it," I say as I flick my wrist for him to leave. He immediately gets up from the chair and walks out of my office.

I head over to the mini fridge in my office and pour water in for Soldier and grab a bottle for myself.

"Will you cooperate boy?" I ask as he drinks from his bowl. He barks in response and I give him a small kiss on his head.

I decide that Soldier and I need to get some lunch and so I grab my keys and we head out to Robin. We slide in and I make my way towards the city where I could possibly buy a dress as well.

After Soldier ate his lunch and did his business, I grabbed myself a sandwich from Subway and we started walking side by side and looked around the many stores for a dress. I've been into a dozen shops and none of them had any dresses that I liked, even Soldier whimpered when he saw me try them on.

I decided to go into one more store and find a dress and then I'll go into a little pet store and find a small tux for Soldier, oh he'd look so fucking cute with a little bowtie.

When I walk into one last shop, it has a little bell that dings when you open the door and a chandelier hangs from the high ceiling. I look around at all of the beautiful gowns and notice that they all might be very expensive. I shrug it off and look through the many dresses along with the other customers.

Many people have been staring at Soldier but he's been calm this whole time. He's even pointed out many beautiful dresses, I swear he's not a dog.

A middle aged woman approached me and carried a beautiful gown towards me, "Here honey, I saw you looking and I just wanted to help you out," she said handing me the dress.

"Oh thank you, you didn't have to do that," I take it gratefully and give her a grateful smile.

"Nonsense, this dress will look good on you, and I think your little four legged friend will think so too," she said giving a small wave to him.

"Thank you..."

"Sandra, I'll be around if you need anything," She said walking away.

I went into the dressing rooms and had Soldier wait on the other side of the door. I undressed myself and looked at the dress before me. I quickly slid it on, eager to see what the clerk had given me.

I looked in the mirror and almost drooled at my reflection. My fingers absentmindedly trailed over the fabric and many designs and it really defined my curve. It would look so much better if I had actually done my make up and hair.

I stepped outside of the dressing room where Soldier was waiting patiently for me. Once he had seen my figure, he paused for a second and barked in approval. I giggled at his signal and quickly went back in to put my clothes back on.

Soldier and I went to the cash register where Sandra was waiting for us.

"Did it fit okay?" She asked as I handed her the dress.

"Yes, oh my goodness you are like my fairy god mother or something," I said as she scanned the tag.

"Well I designed all of these dresses myself," she said looking around at the store. I gawked at her talent and took my wallet out to pay.

I took the dress out of her hands gratefully and said my goodbye and walked out the store. We went to a small pet shop and bought Soldier a small little tux that I was more than surprised that they had. We walked around the small park for awhile and I decided to call Kai.

K: Hey princess

D: Hey, how's everything going there?

K: All steady, what are you doing?

D: Walking in a park with Soldier, I can head to the hospital if you want

K: Yes please, I have something to talk about with you too

D: Got it dude

I hung up the phone and my heart started racing at what he had to talk to me about. He probably knows about me being the gang leader, someone must've revealed my identity, holy shit why do I always have to feel nervous whenever Kai says he wants to talk to me?

Because you're always hiding something stupid...

This bitch in my head needs to shut the fuck up...

You too...

I mentally roll my eyes and start driving towards the hospital towards my doom.

After a couple of minutes I head inside the hospital again and am met with the doctor that I had seen earlier this morning.

"Nice to see you again, your boyfriend is waiting for you in the room," he said gingerly.

"He's not my boyfriend," I chuckled and made my way to the hospital room. My cheeks started to grow a crimson red at his assumption, the thought of having a boyfriend had crossed my mind a couple of times, but having Kai as my boyfriend would be so much better.

I walked into the hospital room to see Liam, Blake, and Kai talking but they stopped once they saw me come in.

"Hi princess," Kai said as he walked towards me. He sat me down on the couch while Blake and Liam watched us carefully.

"W-what is it you wanted to talk about?" I stuttered quietly.

"Well, there's this gang ball going on next week in New York," he said rubbing the back of his neck.

Holy shit is he really going to ask me to go to the gang ball? A new plan started automatically forming in my mind and the gears started to move like oil had just been smothered all over them. That's how it's been these past few days, usually if something sudden comes up and we need a plan my mind just starts moving on its own.

"....And I wanted to know if you would like to go with me," he finished as he looked up to me through his long eyelashes.

My mind was running a mile per minute and the words fell out of my mouth before I could think, "Like a date?" I asked with hope laced in my voice.

"Yeah, like a date," he chuckled nervously.

"Yes," I whispered.

His head shot up to me and a big smile formed on his face, "Really?"

"Do I need to repeat myself?" I asked jokingly. He tackled me onto the sofa and started showering my face with kisses while I giggled in his embrace. He pulled away for a second and his face was lit up like a kid on Christmas morning, I absolutely adored it.

"You're so amazing," he whispered only loud enough for me to hear.

"I'm not amazing without my prince," I whispered just as quietly. He planted a kiss on my lips and we moved in sync until someone had cleared their throat.

We both turned our heads to see Liam and Blake smirking at us, "Get a room you two," Blake said throwing a pillow at us.

"Shut up," Kai and I said in unison. We giggled at our little coincidence and slept in the room with Blake and Liam until they were discharged in the morning.
