I fucking ran.
As I was halfway to the stairs I felt a strong pair of arms wrap themselves around my waist and I squirmed around in protest as we started heading in back towards the kitchen. As soon as Liam and Blake came back into my view I elbowed Kai (who I now realized was holding me) in the chest and he dropped me as his hands were now to his chest. I landed on all fours and attempted to scurry out of there until two large hands gripped around my waist, preventing me from moving any further.
I turned around to see Blake holding me back so in one swift motion I flipped onto my back and kicked him in the gut. He loosened his grip but as I tried to move once again I was met with an annoyed Liam blocking my closest exit. I looked around and saw all three boys closing in on me, I immediately searched for another exit and I mentally face palmed myself when I failed to remember that other exit. The only thing blocking my way to make a beeline was the kitchen's island- wait.
I looked around frantically to see how much distance the boys had from me and it was roughly 3ft. My body immediately started moving and I slid across the island counter to the other exit while hearing a loud, "No fucking way!" from Blake.
I rushed out the door and saw Liam charging at me but I quickly shoved him out of the way and made my way towards the staircase. Once it came into view I didn't think I just jumped onto the banister and swung myself up onto the stairs. After I had safely made it over I looked down at the boys who were staring back up at me in shock.
"How the hell did she do that?" Blake breathed out.
"Diamonds come down we just wanna talk," Kai said. I shook my head no and the boys let out a sigh of frustration.
"Diamonds we'll give you food if you just come down and let us talk to you," Liam deadpanned. Let us talk to you, that means I didn't have to talk back to them. That means they probably won't ask any questions, and I might as well eat while I'm at it.
I shrugged my shoulders and started casually walking down the stairs and towards the kitchen. I jumped on to the island and waited for the boys to finish up doing whatever they needed to do.
As the boys were doing their finishing touches I heard Kai mumble, "Wow if that's all it took to get her down here I would've done that ages ago."

Kai
I looked over to Diamonds to see her playing with the string of her pajama shorts that barely covered anything. Her beige sweater stopped only two inches below her breasts giving us a good chance to take in her toned abs. Her hair was tucked in behind her hair as she kept her head down, looking more amused with the fabric of her shorts than anything else in the room.
I looked over to Blake who looked just as struck as I was, and Liam who wasn't looking, probably trying to get the thought of his step sister being hot out of his head.
"I wish she was my step sister," I heard Blake breathe out which made me snicker at his comment. I cleared my throat which got her attention and I pulled a chair out for her at the head of the table. She hopped off the counter and plopped onto the seat as I scooted it back in. We all took our seats and started passing around the pitcher of water and the bowl of chicken Alfredo.
"Diamonds- do I really have to keep calling you Diamonds? Can I just call you something like, I don't know, Dia? (Dee-uh)" Blake asked annoyed. She nodded her head in reply and let him continue, "Anyways, we already know you're Gold."

Diamonds
I tensed up at Blake's statement.
How could they know I was Gold?
Well shut up dumbass you've already known that they know that you're Gold. Just admit to that shit already like c'mon. Don't think so negatively.
I gulped down the chicken Alfredo and averted my attention to Liam who spoke up, "We saw you're tattoo when you gave your hoodie to that Sammy chick, and we also saw the same one when you were fighting the other night."
"There's no use to denying it now. We just need your help with something for our gang," Kai said and my eyes widened at his confession. Gang? Really?
"We need to make a deal with another gang, but like always, the other party has to pick on how we would prove ourselves worthy. For the Royal Aces, they want a fight. If we win, we get what we want, if not, we don't. You don't have to join us but just say you're fighting for us. We would do it ourselves but the gang leader and inner gang aren't allowed to, so would you do this for us please?"
I sat back in my chair to take everything in, gang leader? Inner gang? What the hell?!
I took out my phone and started typing. I handed it to Liam who read it out loud, " 'Who's the gang leader?' Kai is our gang leader, I'm the second in command, and Blake is the third," he explained as he handed my phone back. I nodded my head and continued to eat as I organized my thoughts. These guys seem kind of desperate, like they needed this deal badly, I mean, he even said 'please'! Like how desperate could he be if he had to say please? I should help them, it'd be the right thing to do right? It could be one of my massive good deeds! I could fight someone, I could do this for them, I don't really see why not.
I finished my chicken Alfredo and stood up from my chair, letting it drag on the floor beneath me. Their gazes met mine as I let out a breath and held out my hand for Kai to shake. He looked between my hand and my smile before he too stood up from his chair and shook my hand. I felt something tingle between our touch but I decided to ignore it.
"Does this mean you'll fight for us?" Kai asked cautiously.
I let out a sigh and told him my only requirement if I made deals, "The only thing I ask for is your respect, and in return you'll get mine," I answered confidently. They all looked stunned at my words, or maybe just speaking in general before the other two stood up as well and shook my hand.
"Does this mean you'll continue talking to us?" Blake asked hopefully. He was probably tired of being treated the silent treatment this whole time, it was kind of adorable how annoyed they'd get.
"Yes if we're in private, otherwise you should expect me to be tight-lipped," I explained to them. They all let out a sigh of relief, "Good, because that shit is annoying," Liam said bluntly. I chuckled at his comment and we cleaned up our messes, the boys called after me as I made my way out of the kitchen door which made me stop in my tracks, "Yes?" I replied.
"Really though, where were you last night? We understand you were at the fight club the first night, but when we checked there last night you weren't there. Where did you go?" Liam asked with a cocked eyebrow.
I giggled softly before answering, "I was racing," I said simply. They're jaws dropped and so I continued, "I mean c'mon, I managed to lose you guys in that neighborhood-"
"Yeah but we thought that was just a lucky shot!" Blake exclaimed.
"Was it really a lucky shot if I were going 70mph and succeeded in making an abrupt turn?" I asked cockily. They all continued to look at me as if I had grown a second head.
"Diamonds what else can you do?" Kai asked cautiously.
"Well, a lot of things. You'd have to be specific," I teased. I turned back around and headed to my room to put my slip on white vans and grabbed my car keys. I walked back down the stairs and headed to the garage but before I could reach the handle Kai stopped me, "Where are you going?"
I turned to him with a smile, "Getting ice cream silly, a good dinner always deserves sweet ice cream," I stated as if it was obvious.
"Can I join you?" He asked as he grabbed his leather jacket and slid it on.
"Of course, where are the other two?"
"PS4," he stated nonchalantly. I nodded my head in understanding and stepped inside of the huge garage. As I rounded my car to the driver's seat Kai stared at it in awe, "You're a gang leader dude, don't you have cars like these at your house?" I asked.
"Yeah, but you make this one look better," he said as he slid in. I blushed at his comment but continued to pull out of the garage and out the driveway to the main road for the grocery store. I couldn't help but ask myself if I regret fighting for Kai, I mean, he's a gang leader dude! It's alright, what's done is done, I made him a promise and I don't intend on breaking any promises. I'll take care of myself, I always have.
"You alright princess?" I looked over to Kai who was looking at me in concern.
"Yeah sorry, just focussing on the road. But are you guys staying at our house until our parents come back or something?" I asked changing the subject and ignoring his little nickname for me. I was actually pretty good at lying whenever I wanted to, but I only ever did it to protect my feelings and my heart. Nobody ever needed to know me that well, and I was totally okay with that.
"I mean yeah, his dad is gone on business trips most of the time so his house is kind of like a second home for all of us you know? Though, of course we make sure that our families are not involved with our gang business, we can't risk their lives like that. So we have guards surrounding our houses just in case," he explained.
I continued to ask more questions about his gang and about how he felt about being gang leader. I didn't need to ask him that personal stuff because I could basically feel how high his walls are built up. I guess that's something we have in common, we don't trust easily.
I pulled into a parking spot near the front of the store and quickly got out, excited about getting some ice cream.
"Hurry up Kai! Ice cream!" I yelled over my shoulder. He let out a chuckle at my enthusiasm and followed me to the frozen aisle. When I spotted my favorite flavor: vanilla fudge swirl, I immediately pulled it out along with some waffle cones. We went to the self checkout and paid for our groceries. As I was bagging the ice cream I looked towards Kai, "You know you didn't have to come with me," I said.
"It's alright," I continued to bag everything up and I heard him mumble quietly, "as long as I get to hear your voice like this," he finished. I felt a blush creep up to my cheeks but I shook it off and pretended like I didn't hear it. He grabbed the plastic bag from my hand and accidentally brushed his fingers against mine. The tingle was exchanged between us once again which made me momentarily freeze. I regained my composure and looked back up to Kai with a soft smile, "Ready to go?"
He looked deep into my eyes as if the answers he's been looking for were swimming in them. I couldn't help but dive into the depths of the blue ocean his eyes held within them. Many emotions passed through them but they were moving so fast I could hardly figure out what it was. I quickly broke the gaze and looked down at my pajamas that I was still comfortably wearing. He cleared his throat and I led the way out the door to my car.
