Chapter 11: A Dino World

“Welcome back to another episode of…” Jack starts to say.

“Mayhem,” Jenny shouts.

“We are on the final day of DD island. There are twenty-two competitors left and we have a special surprise for you folks later.” Jack says.

“What’s the surprise?” Jenny asks.

“It’s a secret for now, but it should happen soon. Something that might kill a few competitors. So, should we find out how are participants are doing? Oh, just to let you know, the final eight competitors advance to the arena of death shown in front of a live audience.” Jack says.

“Who should we watch first?” Jenny asks.

“Let’s check on Ruu. My favorite kangaroo.” Jack states.

The scene turns to a camera drone flying above the jungle on DD Island. You see a hybrid kangaroo with a special pair of modified blue boxing gloves. On the boxing gloves are little pieces of spiked metal. Ruu is a mixture of different species but is mainly kangaroo. He is quite a skilled fighter with plenty of hidden tricks. Ruu starts to journey through the jungle looking for prey or competitors to kill. He starts to hop along the forest and eventually makes it to an open field. Ruu spots a creek in the open field and jumps toward the water. Then he starts to take a drink. Ruu looks up to see several massive space cruisers fly over the island. Then a shadow appears as a space cruiser flies above him.

“DINO TIME,” Jack says.

“Uh, what?” Jenny asks.

“Warning: Dinosaurs Incoming.” Is shown in the sky in massive letters.

The space cruiser above Ruu starts to land in the open field. Ruu starts to run back to the trees for cover. The cargo door opens and a group of forty raptors start to emerge from the space cruiser. Ruu starts to run at them and they all charge at Ruu. Ruu takes an energy grenade from his pouch and throws it at the group of raptors. A massive explosion destroys at least twenty of the raptors. The rest of the raptors dodge some of the explosions and get even closer to Ruu. Ruu runs ahead of them and slam punches the first raptor in the face which shatters its skull. The raptor goes flying backward into the group of them. Ruu starts to slam and punch multiple raptors who attempt to rip him with their claws. Ruu charges up his fist and then smashes forward causing an explosive energy blast destroying several of the raptors. Ruu spins his arms and then unleashes a fury of punches killing the rest of them. The remaining raptors run north across the plain and make it to the trees. All of a sudden you feel the ground tremble and a massive T-Rex emerges from the trees, it moves its head towards a raptor. Then takes a large bite of the raptor which rips it to shreds. The T-Rex looks at Ruu and spots its next meal. Ruu starts bouncing at rapid speed toward the T-Rex. The T-Rex’s eyes start to glow red and then it shoots red laser beams from its eyes. Ruu quickly sidesteps the two laser beams. The T-rex keeps shooting beams from its eyes and Ruu dodges them each time. One of the laser beams eventually gazes one of his long ears. Ruu charges up energy in his legs then spring jumps towards the T-rex with his foot in the air. Ruu karate kicks the T-rex’s head with so much force that the T-rex goes spiraling backward into the trees destroying everything in front of Ruu. Ruu then shoots a charged beam from his mouth vaporizing the T-rex on impact with some of the surrounding area. Ruu starts to run away after causing so much noise and destruction. Ruu starts bouncing out of the open field into the trees.

“Wow this guy can fight, I wonder if anyone can take him out,” Jack states.

“How are the other competitors doing?” Jenny asks.

“Let’s find out,” Jack tells the audience.

You see a camera flying around the sky of the island. It zooms in on a group of velociraptors running through the trees. They make it to a creek and start to take a drink. Jed is hiding in the trees above, Jed throws several of his daggers at the velociraptors before they can react which kills them. Jed drops down and then approaches the dead velociraptors. Jed pulls out a glowing blue ball of energy from his stomach. The ball of energy absorbs the dead velociraptors quickly. Jed eats the ball and then jumps back onto a tree. Jed starts to swing on vines in the trees and exits the view of the camera.

“That monkey is a master of stealth and guerrilla warfare,” Jack says.

“A sneaky fellow for sure. He’s a killer chimp.” Jenny replies.

“Let’s check in on our kill leader,” Jack states

The Devourer is still on the sandy beaches with a new type of mutated zombie raptor in herds or groups surrounding him. You have a sky view of the surrounding area, you notice several piles of bones. All of a sudden the bones start to levitate and are surrounded by a dark black energy.

“That’s not me.” The belly mouth shouts. The bones form into a dark black demon and it lunges at the Devourer. The head of the devourer signals telepathically to a horde of velociraptor zombies that start to run back to the Devourer and fight the black energy bone demon. The black demon shoots out multiple dark energy bones at the Devourer, the belly mouth eats some of the bones and converts the energy.

“This black energy is tasty; I want more of it.” Belly mouth shouts.

“You can have your fill, once we find out where this creature is hiding.” The devourer says.

The black energy demon charges at the Devourer and the zombie raptors flock in to protect him.

“Tell them to back off this tasty treat is mine.” The belly mouth says then the devourer jumps on the black energy demon and swallows it whole. The devourer expands and then sticks out its long tongue from its mouth belly.

“Delish, me want more.” Belly's mouth says and drools.

Rave teleports right in front of the Devourer using some sort of black magic technique and then shoves his claws into the mouth of the belly.

“You want energy? Let’s see how much you can handle.” Rave says as he slams his whole claw and arm down the belly mouth of the devourer then channels a massive amount of energy. The belly mouth expands and the devourer's belly grows at a rapid rate. It seems like Rave’s energy is too much for the devourer to handle. The belly mouth grins and smiles while absorbing all the energy. Its gluttonous mouth knows no boundaries. The devourer's head starts to shake as it absorbs too much energy and then it flashes in a self-defensive technique that causes an explosion which forces Rave to turn into black energy and then fly away a short distance away from the devourer.

“I thought you wanted all of my energy. Looks like you have limits.” Rave says.

“Why did you stop him? I wanted more. I still want the best meal of my life someday and he might be it. Let’s go eat him, now.” Belly mouth shouts.

“Do you even think absorbing all his energy is a good idea? Your so stupid mouth. All you care about is eating, there might be some plan or reasoning behind feeding you energy.” Devourer's head says.

Rave snaps his claws together and an internal explosion goes on inside of Devourer. You see the Devourer tremble and start to shake.

“Did you not convert all the energy?” Devourer's head asks. Then the devourer shifts to a defensive mode. A glowing energy starts to fly all around the Devourer.

“I thought that was your job?” Belly mouth says.

Rave snaps his claws again but this time the Belly mouth spits out any remaining black energy from Rave.

“Hmm, he must have tried hiding some of his energy in your cells. I guess we must adapt and evolve to fight this different form of energy.” Devourer says.

“Is it still safe to eat him? That mans is tasty.” Belly mouth responds.

“We evolve the more we eat, and each new zombie creation is stronger than the last one. Maybe we should devour his energy in smaller amounts until our body is ready to take his full power. I never thought we would find such a stronger opponent on this stupid cyber show…” Devourer's head mentions.

“Aww, I want to eat him whole.” Belly mouth sighs.

“Idiot, I won’t die today because of your stupidity. What I do know is that most energy in creatures forms from a core in either their heart or brain. Some creatures have multiple cores in their body that can create energy. So if we eat him in pieces eventually we will devour his internal core or cores.” Devourer head states.

“Will you two ever shut up? You two will die today. Mark my words.” Rave states then fires a black beam of energy from its mouth at the Devourer. The devourer forms an energy shield and then reflects the beam back at Rave. Rave disperses the energy by knocking it away with his wings. Then a rumbling starts to come from the trees. Thousands of different types of mutated zombies from different species start to pour out from the trees. A swarm of black ravens shoots out from Rave’s claws at the swarm of zombies but there are way too many for him.

“I’m recalling all of our creations right now. If he wants a war then we will bring it to him.” The Devourer's head says.

“They will tear him to pieces and then I can eat the leftovers.” Belly mouth grins.

“Even I, don’t have enough energy to deal with this shit, you won’t have this horde in the round of eight. I’ll kill you then, goodbye” Rave turns into one hundred ravens which take to the skies and fly away.

“We might see these two in the later stages of the show. The last eight competitors to survive on this island advance to the round of eight. There we will have multiple stages in front of a live audience. Don’t complain if you get blood splattered on you while watching the show. If your lucky you might even catch a competitor’s head.” Jack announces.

“We’ll get the best view from the top. So how many people are left?” Jenny asks.

“Seventeen are still alive or not critically injured. Let’s check in on our next competitor.” Jack states.

You see a camera drone flying above the north point of the island. A lone pigman is running through the woods, and behind him is an angry Kaisii. She throws her purple spinning stars at the pigman who is running like a madman. The pigman dodges the stars, then escapes the forest and looks at a long narrow cliff. Kaisii dashes towards him and screams.

“Stop running, pig. Come and embrace your death.” Kaisii grins.

“I, Junior Bala will be the first of my clan to kill a Reaper. You fell into my trap.” Junior Bala the pigman says. Then Bala splits into twenty images.

“Which one is the real me? HAHAHA.” Bala squeals and then all of the images start to throw mini axes that each of the pigmen are holding.

Kaisii rotates her fingers to control the electric wires on her weapons and the purple stars start to spin. They deflect the thrown axes back at the clones of the pigmen. Several of the pigmen charge at Kaisii, running at her with axes. Kaisii quickly sidesteps the swings of the pigmen and throws her purple star weapon at them which kills a bunch of the clones. Junior Bala starts to get stressed seeing all of his clones die. The real Bala starts to run behind him up the peak of the hill. Kaisii destroys the rest of the clones and then chases Bala up the hill.

“Nowhere to run now pig. You can’t keep running all your life pig.” Kaisii says hunting her prey.

“PIG SWARM.” Junior Bala shouts and sends hundreds of pigmen clones at Kaisii.

Kaisii enlarges her purple stars and throws them cutting all of the clones in her way. Bala runs to the edge of the cliff and looks down at the water below. Bala gets on his knees.

“Please have mercy. I surrender.” Junior Bala says.

“I’m sorry pig, this is your end. Hate the game, not the playa.” Kaisii says and then jumps into Bala with energy charged into her right leg. Kaisii kicks Bala on the nose and sends him flying backward.

“This is not the end of Junior Bala, I will haunt you for the rest of your life and eventually be your demise,” Bala screams as he falls spiraling downwards and then lands somewhere in the water. As Bala slams into the water a large explosion and a shockwave is created as he hits the water.

“Not in my life, piggie.” Kaisii grins and then starts running back down the jagged hill.

“How did that pigman survive that long?” Jenny asks.

“Well by looking at the footage, it seems like he hid from most of the competitors in the bushes, but he did get one kill on the first day,” Jack explains.

“Heh, weakling.” Jenny laughs.

“Using your environment to survive is a good tactic though. We should watch my favorite chimp, Jed. He’s not only a master of using the environment but also very skilled in combat.” Jack says.

“That will have to wait, the director just told me that it's time for an ARENA BATTLE,” Jenny shouts.

“Let’s go, computer randomly teleport two competitors to an unknown location,” Jack states.

Tyga arrives on the ground in a field of yellow grass. The field is surrounded by trees in the distance. The camera drone zooms in on different species of insects flying around the area. A large brown tree appears in front of Tyga and opens its eyes. The tree turns its roots into legs and its branches into arms. Then it stands up.

“Who awakes me from my slumber?” The treant shouts.

“Now this competitor is truly one with their environment. I wonder how many competitors noticed this tree while it was on the island?” Jack asks.

“Let’s find out who wins, I’m excited for another good fight,” Jenny states.

Tyga roars and then runs at the tree with his axe in both his hands. The tree stands up and runs backward.

“Why does everything run from me?” Tyga yells.

Tyga chases the tree toward the outside of the field. Eventually, the tree gets within distance of the trees outside the yellow grass field. The treant shoots its roots and they attach to some of the trees. All of the trees light up and start to walk toward Tyga.

“Now face my earthen army.” The treant bellows. Hundreds of trees swarm toward Tyga. Tyga roars once more and then starts to grow in size becoming a giant. The camera notices Tyga’s white fur shifting in the wind. Tyga’s axe starts to double in size and becomes a gigantic killing axe. Its blade glistens in the sunlight. One of the many moons in the sky covers the sun and a temporary eclipse happens. The camera turns on its night vision and you see a huge Tyga chopping multiple trees in half as they swarm on Tyga. Some of the trees shoot vines on Tyga’s arms and try to hold him down but Tyga flexes which destroys the vines. Tyga charges up his energy and roars then shoots the energy out of his mouth in a beam on the floor. The energy beam kills almost thirty treants. The treant army keeps pushing towards Tyga who hacks and slashes at them with his huge axe. The eclipse pasts and the sun shines down on the battlefield. Tyga points his axe in the air and summons a black cloud into the sky. The black cloud strikes a lightning bolt down at Tyga’s axe infusing the axe and Tyga’s body with immense power. Tyga starts to glow a white form of energy, Tyga screams once more and flexs his body which expands himself while sending massive shockwaves in random directions. Tyga’s axe gathers more energy from the black cloud and then Tyga slams his axe down on the ground in a horizontal cutting motion. The axe cut creates a giant shockwave of energy that destroys all of the trees in front of him with a massive explosion. The treant that was summoned originally at the start of the battle arena’s eyes start to glow. All of the little trees merge into the treant which causes him to grow rapidly. The treant grows to Tyga’s size and the two stare at each other. Tyga grows a little more and his head is in the sky, then the treant grows to mimic Tyga’s size. Finally, they stop expanding and start to fight each other.

“Colossal Titans fight off today,” Jack announces.

“A battle of epic proportions, radical. “ Jenny shouts.

“Yes fight like a man, no matter what species you are.” Tyga boasts.

The treant and Tyga clash together. Tyga attempts to swing his axe at the treant but the treant summons vines from his branch hands and wraps around the axe. The treant swings his branches in a horizontal motion and the axe spirals away in a different direction towards the east, landing somewhere far off into the distance. Tyga swings with his paws striking the treant and knocking him backward. Tyga shifts his head and bites which creates a shockwave from his mouth that crunches the treant's face. Tyga swipes with his claws multiple times in a fluid motion then swirls his paws scratching up the treant multiple times. The treant smashes Tyga in the head with his massive branch hands, Tyga flinches with each blow by the treant. Then the treant grabs Tyga with his branch hands and both of them smash each other at the same time with their heads. Tyga roars and then channels his energy. Tyga throws a nine-hit combo of punches and swipes at the treant which knocks him backward. Tyga channels all of his energy into his right paw and punches the treant in his face which smashes the treant into multiple pieces. Miniature trees all break off from the main treant body. Tyga shoots a beam of energy from his mouth which destroys all of the remaining miniature trees. After winning the battle Tyga walks over to his axe and grabs it then shrinks back down to normal size.

“Looks like we have a winner, always bet on the white tiger,” Jack says.

“People make good money betting on Mayhem. Too bad for the people that bet on the treant. Losers…” Jenny replies.

“Let’s teleport Tyga back to DD Island and get back to the show,” Jack says.

“Right after a word from our sponsors.” Jenny grins.
