𝙄𝙏 𝙒𝘼𝙎 𝙁𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙇𝙇𝙔 𝙏𝙄𝙈𝙀 𝙏𝙊 𝙂𝙀𝙏 𝙍𝙀𝘼𝘿𝙔 𝙁𝙊𝙍 tonight and joy was definitely going to talk to kordell about them of course she felt like she had to get everything over with and stop crying about it

she stood there in the makeup room infront of the mirror spraying perfume on herself

she straightened her hair and put on a 3D floral print asymmetrical hem bodycon dress

after she listened to the girls talk about the boys it was time for them to make their ways downstairs to the boys who clapped for them like always

joy smiled looking over at kordell who shyly waved at her

after that that's when everyone made their way to the table in the middle that had their drinks on top

joy stood next to kenny while he started his speech to cheering

"it's been an emotional roller coaster but at the end of the day we came together as a family we confided in each other we trusted eachother and we forgave each other you know? cheers to friendship and cheers to being better people" kenny said while he side eyed joy who just chuckled putting her cup in the air with the others

"cheers!" everyone cheered in sync with their cups in the air together

that's when joy took a sip out her cup before grabbing the phone she was given to

she went to the camera app and immediately just started taking photos of herself

everyone else talked catching up and the others were just being lovey dovey

she poked her lips out while jana sat beside her getting in the photo placing a kiss on her cheek

that's when they snapped their heads hearing heels clapping on the ground at the entrance

their faces all lit up once they seen ariana walking into the villa

"guys guys guys! ariana ariana" sierra said trying to tell the others who were still talking

"ariana!" catherine said

"hello beautiful islanders!" ariana said

"hello darling" miguel said

"surprise!" ariana said

that's when she waved her hands towards the fire pit which made everyone go over there of course

joy sat beside leah and miguel while everyone else sat down right next to the person they were coupled up with

"well it's time for a recoupling" ariana said

joy swallowed the lump inside her mouth and looked over at everyone else who had some scary looks on their faces

she wasn't ready for a recoupling at all and im pretty sure so wasn't the others

"tonight each boy will choose the girl they want to couple up with as there are seven boys and ten girls unfortunately three girls will be dumped for the island tonight" ariana said

joy eyes went wide and her mouth dropped open while looking at leah who also had the same look on her face

"what the fuck" leah mouthed to her

"boys stay where you are, girls come and join me" ariana said waving the girls over

joy then stood up with the girls and walked towards ariana and stood beside her nervously

she held hands with leah and jana while they looked forward at the boys who were staring right back at them

"boys im going to ask you to stand up one at a time and tell us who wanna couple up with and why" ariana said

joy smiled dropped while she tucked in her lips she just couldn't take the silence at all

"kendall please stand up tell us who you would couple up with" ariana said and that's when kendall stood up

the girls all listened to kendall's speech not nervous of course cause they knew for a fact he was gonna choose nicole

"congratulations nicole please go and join kendall" ariana said

everyone stared at the girl walk towards kendall while clapping their hands after he was finished with his speech

"ah yay nikki!" kaylor shouted while clapping her hands as nicole sat down

"kenny your up next please stand up and tell us who you'd like to couple up with" ariana said

when kenny stood up and started doing his speech it was very cute and it both smiles on joy and leah and also jana's face

and of course he chose their girl jana! which put a sad look on catherine's face

"congratulations jana go and get your man!" ariana said to the girl who walked towards him excited

"aww so cute!" joy squealed while jana and kenny kissed and hugged

"oh my god!" leah said wiping the tears off her face from kenny's speech to her friend

that's when joy smiled widely and held leah's hand while they continued to stand there

"kordell it's over to you" ariana said making joy's face drop

"damn" kordell said

"who would you like to couple up with" ariana said

"y'all gone make me go after that? shit!" kordell chuckled making the other islanders laugh while he stood up

kordell stood in front of the fire pit, his eyes scanning the group before landing on joy

kordell took a deep breath feeling his heart pound in his chest

the islanders fell silent, sensing the seriousness of this moment

"I'm not the best with words, but I want to try my best tonight because it's important. It's important because she's important" kordell paused his voice already shaking

he glanced at joy who avoided his eyes trying to keep her emotions in check

"when I first came here I didn't expect to find something real but then I met her from the very first day she made me feel something I've never felt before she's got this way of lighting up a room just by being in it and it's like the whole world fades and it's just her just us." kordell continued

joy blinked rapidly trying to hold back her tears

"I messed up I know I did I went to casa amor and I made a decision that hurt you more than I can ever say sorry for and I know 'sorry' isn't enough but the time I spent without you those nights where I couldn't even hear your laugh or see your smile... it made me realize how much you mean to me" kordell admitted his voice breaking

kordell took a step closer his eyes locked on hers.l

"joy you've shown me a version of myself that I didn't even know existed you've shown me what it's like to love to be loved, and to be happy and I'm not ready to give that up I don't want to be with anyone else because no one else is you no one else makes me feel alive like you do" kordell said

tears slipped down joy's cheeks and kordell's eyes softened

"I know I don't deserve you but I want to fight for you I want to spend every day proving to you that I can be the man you need the man you deserve and if you'll let me I promise to never take you for granted again I promise to always choose you joy." kordell said swallowing the lump in his mouth

kordell took a deep breath his voice barely above a whisper now

"one of the things I love most about you is how kind you are your  the type of person who always sees the good in others even when they don't deserve it and I love how you're so soft-spoken when your comfortable that quiet side of you that not everyone gets to see it's like your this calm in the middle of all this chaos and you make everything feel... right" kordell said making the girl slowly nod

kordell's eyes softened his voice growing even more tender

"and I love that even when you get mad it's only because you care so much when people don't test you when they don't push you your the nicest person I've ever met and that's the you I fell for—the girl who's got the biggest heart who's always trying to make everyone feel seen and cared for" kordell said

joy wiped the tears off her cheeks while she continued to stare at the boy who stood infront of her

"so I'm standing here hoping, praying, that you'll give me one more chance to show you just how much you mean to me because the truth is your  the only one I see, the only one I want and I'd be the luckiest man alive if I could couple up with you tonight" kordell said

the other islanders held their breath waiting for joy's response as kordell wiped his eyes his heart laid bare before her

joy took a deep breath wiping the tears from her cheeks as she stepped forward

the other islanders watched completely silent waiting for her response she looked at kordell her eyes still filled with emotion, and let out a shaky breath

"kordell you hurt me more than I ever thought you could and I've spent these last few days trying to figure out if I could ever trust you again if I could ever let you back into my heart" joy began her voice soft but steady

kordell nodded his eyes never leaving hers as if he was bracing himself for whatever came next

"but even when I was mad at you even when I felt like I'd never be able to forgive you I couldn't stop thinking about all the little things the way you'd stay up late talking to me because I was too nervous to sleep the way you'd listen to me ramble about things that probably didn't even make sense" joy paused smiling slightly through her tears

"and how you always seemed to know exactly when I needed someone to just be there" joy continued

"I can't lie and say that everything's okay because it's not but I also can't pretend that I don't still care about you your right... you did make me feel special and you showed me a side of myself I didn't know was there" joy's voice grew stronger more certain

joy took a step closer her eyes never leaving his.

"you say you want to fight for me and that you want to prove you deserve another chance well I want to believe you I want to believe that the kordell I fell for is still standing right in front of me willing to do whatever it takes to make things right" joy said

joy took a deep breath finally letting a small smile break through

"so I'm not saying this is going to be easy but I'm willing to give you that chance I want to see if we can find our way back to each other because... deep down I still believe in us" joy finally said

the islanders let out a collective sigh of relief and excitement while the girls were wiping tears off their faces

the boys all cheered for the two and jumped around everywhere while hugging eachother

and kordell's face broke into the biggest most genuine smile as he pulled joy into his arms holding her close smashing his lips onto hers

"thank you I promise I won't mess this up again dawg" kordell whispered tears streaming down his face

joy let go and wiped the tears off his face before they made their way towards the others sitting on the couch beside them

"that was so beautiful" jana said to the two who bursted into laughter

"you guys are my favorite aw" ariana said looking at the two in awe

"aww" joy said with the smile that never left her face

"joy?" ariana said while she tilted her head at the girl who sat there blushing

"I know the entire world is gonna look at me crazy but like it is what it is I really like kordell and the entire time when I was mad lashing out on everyone was really because I still had feelings for him" joy said

"both of you guys is speeches was so cute" ariana said

"thank you" kordell and joy said in sync then looked at eachother

that's when it was finally caine is turn and joy's face dropped completely once he did his speech referring to sierra

she looked over at liv who had a confused look on her face

after caine it was aaron's and of course he chose kaylor cause who the hell else would he pick?

miguel then stood up after aaron and did his speech about leah and after he was done she walked towards him and sat down giving joy and kordell a smile

then rob was the last person up liv was still up there with rest of the casa girls which made the girls sitting down faces all drop

joy knew her and liv were not at the right place right now about eachother but still there were friends.

joy bursted into literal tears while she remained seated silently while rob stood up

joy was hoping rob will choose liv to keep her in the villa but she thought wrong once he chose daniela.

"stop crying" liv mouthed to joy, leah, nicole and kaylor and jana who were literally crying for her

kordell grabbed joy's hand trying to stop her from crying who she continued to let tears drop from her eyes

"daia, catherine how are you guys feeling right now?" ariana asked

"honestly I am just happy that i got the opportunity to be here and meet all these amazing people shout out to kordell for bringing me back I know it caused alot of drama but it's all good" daia said making kordell just side eye her

he looked over at joy who was already looking right at him giving him a look also

"what about you catherine?" ariana said

"thank you everyone for this experience and i love my casa girls they've made this experience literally the best thing that i could ever imagine and im just glad that they found a couple here they deserve it and I can't wait to see them on the other side" catherine said

"liv you've been here since the beginning how are you feeling right now?" ariana said

"I've had like such a good time here I feel like I've made friends and I didn't necessarily think I'd make such good friends im so happy for everyone and like I'll have these friends forever and honestly seeing everyone so happy and closed off and like honestly they've changed who I am for the better so I can't thank them enough" liv said

"I just wanna tell you guys that watching all these friendships develop over the summer has been the highlight of getting to be here with you guys so I completely understand how your feeling right now and it's sad to see all of you guys go" ariana said

"aww that's so nice" liv said wiping the tears off her face

"catherine, daia and liv you haven't been picked to be in a couple which means you are single and dumped from the island I'll leave you to pack your suitcases and say your goodbyes" ariana said

"thank you" liv said

"the rest of you I'll see you all very soon" ariana said

that's when everyone stood up and immediately walked towards liv while the others like the casa girls walked towards their two friends who were also dumped

the girls all hugged liv while they literally broken into a complete breakdown

"im not dying.. its fine" liv said to the girls who continued to cry

"I know but I don't wanna be here without you" kaylor sobbed

"no! don't say stupid shit.. it's fine I'll come back I'll fly back and I'll watch you all in the final" liv said making joy smiled wiping the tears off her face

"I love you" joy said while she hugged liv who hugged her right back

"I love you so much liv" jana said

"I love you guys" liv said

"fuck!" kaylor said as she continued to sob

joy started fanning herself while she stood back from liv who started hugging the other girls one by one

"and kordell you better have meant everything you said in that speech" liv said pointing at the boy who wanted to hug her while chuckling

"I did chill out" kordell chuckled while giving the girl a hug before letting go

"take care of her okay" liv said while tapping the boy's shoulder

"I will I promise" kordell said

after a few minutes of crying the girls were now upstairs helping live finish packing whom they catched up on their last ever conversation with her

that's when it was finally time to let go for real and help her with her suitcase down the steps

they stood there watching the three girls make their exit

later that night, after all the emotions of the recoupling had settled and the three girls getting sent home

kordell and joy found themselves lying side by side on the "Soul Ties" daybed

the stars twinkled above them and the warm summer breeze surrounded them carrying the soft sounds of the villa in the distance

wrapped up in the cozy blanket they lay facing each other their bodies close legs tangled together.

"you really had me out here crying in front of everyone I can't believe you had the nerve to make that speech you know you were this close to me walking away right?" joy teased gently tracing circles on kordell's chest with her finger

kordell chuckled, grabbing her hand and intertwining his fingers with hers

"I was crying too shit trust me I was terrified but I meant every single word. I couldn't leave here without letting you know how I felt. You're too important to me joy" kordell admitted

joy felt her heart flutter at his words.

"You really know how to lay it on thick you meant all that stuff about the quiet me?" joy teased but there was a softness in her eyes as she spoke

"of course I did I love that side of you joy the way you laugh when you think no one's watching how your voice gets all soft when you're telling me about something you love, or how your so gentle when your happy it's like you've got this whole world inside of you that I just want to be a part of" kordell said squeezing her hand

joy blushed looking down for a moment before meeting his eyes again

"you know I thought about you every night when you were gone even when I was trying to be mad at you I couldn't stop myself from missing you" joy said

kordell's face softened and he pulled her closer wrapping his arm around her waist

"I'll spend every day making up for the time I hurt you you deserve someone who sees you for who you really are all of you and I want to be that person" kordell promised

joy smiled letting out a small laugh

"your off to a good start but you better not mess up again or I'm really going to make you cry even more next time" joy said snuggling into his chest

"I'll take my chances," kordell whispered as he grinned pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head

they lay there in silence for a moment wrapped up in each other and the night sky

"you had the whole villa thinking I'd never take you back" joy chuckled as kordell laughed shaking his head

"I was scared you wouldn't I honestly thought that was it for us you know? but I couldn't give up on you not without at least trying to show you how much you mean to me" kordell admitted, his voice soft

joy bit her lip her heart swelling as she watched the sincerity in his eyes

"you really meant every word you said?" joy asked almost shyly

"every single one your my first thought in the morning and my last thought before I go to sleep and when you weren't there... everything just felt wrong I missed this I missed you" kordell said

joy's cheeks warmed and she couldn't help but smile

"I missed you too even when I was mad I missed you" joy confessed making kordell chuckle

"I don't blame you for being mad I was an idiot but I'm going to make it up to you from now on it's just me and you okay?" kordell said gazing at her with a soft intensity

"okay" joy whispered feeling her heart skip a beat

there was a comfortable silence as they looked at each other just soaking in the moment

that's when finally kordell broke it a mischievous grin spreading across his face

"you know your even cuter when you crashout" kordell chuckled throwing his head back

"oh so you like making me mad now?" joy said as she rolled her eyes laughing

"nah I just like any version of you the quiet you the happy you, even the you that's ready to throw hands when someone gets on your nerves" kordell said shrugging

"your so annoying" joy said as she shook her head fighting back a smile

"yeah but I'm your annoying" kordell replied leaning in and pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead

joy sighed happily resting her shoulder on his chest

"your lucky I like you" joy mumbled

and as they lay there on the "Soul Ties" daybed, surrounded by the warmth of each other

it felt like the rest of the world had faded away it was just them, finally finding their way back to each other

but it was interrupted by the other islanders who started screaming for them letting them know ariana has came back unannounced again

the two quickly stood up and ran towards the others who were shocked

"islanders, I have some big news for you" ariana said from the balcony

"dawg what the fuck?" kordell said following behind joy who was confused

"can you meet me at the fire pit please?" ariana said

everyone then made their way towards the fire pit while ariana walked towards them with a big smile on her face

they all sat down confused and shocked staring the girl

"how y'all doing? happy to see me?" ariana said

"the smile is scaring me" nicole said

"as you know the road to love of unexpected twists and turns" ariana said

"mmhm mhm" miguel hummed

"and tonight is no exception" ariana said

"oh shit! my heart's racing what the fuck?" kendall said

"please welcome.." ariana said

joy's mouth fell completely opened as she continued to stare at ariana

"harrison!" ariana said

"woah.." kordell said

everyone snapped their hearts towards the entrance and their eyes went immediately wide at the familiar face

"is that harrison from last season?" jana said

"the australian?" nicole said

"no!" jana said

"yeah he's the fucking gold guy from last year!" aaron said pointing near the boy who was making his way towards the fire pit

"oh my gosh" joy said

"fuck! bro stay away you bastard" aaron playfully said making everyone laugh

"he's australian? are you fucking with me" nicole said

"oh my gosh and liv just left" joy said

"where's liv?" nicole said

"how we doing?" harrison asked

"we're good how are you doing?" jana said

"good good good" harrison said as he stood next to ariana

"welcome back to love island harrison how does it feel to be back here? one year later?" ariana said

"nice! but yeah hey let's get it" harrison said

"harrison im twenty four hours you will receive news that will change everything in the villa i suggest no one gets too comfortable" ariana said

"oh shit" aaron said

"bye for now.. have fun" ariana said

that's when the islanders stared at the blonde haired girl walk away and make her exit

"mic drop.." harrison said
