after a few minutes the girls were now in the makeup room while the boys were in the bedroom

after the girls catched up well only joy, jana and leah who were the last ones to exit out the makeup room

joy finally slipped her black tight flare pajama pants on with a hoodie she made her way out the makeup room to soul ties where kordell was already laying there with a blanket over him with his hands behind his head

joy slowly got into the blanket then laid there just looking up at nothing at all

joy didn't respond at all cause she wasn't okay she fell tears slowly appear in her eyes and once kordell heard her sniffle he grabbed her

she had just walked out of an argument with kaylor someone she thought had her back

the things kaylor had said accusing her of weird and saying she feels like she's against her and a liability to the villa cut deeper than she wanted to admit

she wiped her tears but it was no use the words replayed in her head louder than the stillness around her

"joy..." kordell said with his voice soft but full of concern

joy still didn't respond she just continued

"man what's going on? talk to me" kordell said with his voice low and soothing

joy sniffled shaking her head

"it's nothing" joy lied with her voice cracking under the strain

kordell wasn't having it

"nah don't do that you're sitting here crying like the whole world's on your back and I'm not about to let you sit in it alone" kordell said leaning closer rubbing her shoulder

joy finally turned to him with her eyes red and glassy

"kaylor, she's supposed to be my friend but tonight she treated me like I'm nothing she said everyone in the villa hates me, that I'm the problem in this place I don't even know why I'm here anymore kordell I feel like I can't trust anyone and maybe she's right maybe they all hate me" joy admitted in a whisper as her voice broke and she buried her face in her hands

kordell let out a sharp exhale with his jaw tightening at her words

he sat her up and wrapped an arm around her shoulders pulling her closer until her head rested on his chest

"joy stop don't even say that bullshit kaylor is full of shit straight up she's jealous and you know it fuck her for trying to tear you down when you've been nothing but good to her" kordell said firmly

joy's sobs softened as she listened to his steady heartbeat

"but what if she's not lying? what if it's true? I don't fit in here kordell I feel so alone" joy said

kordell tipped her chin up gently so their eyes met

"you need to look at me you're not alone you've got me always and I don't care what anyone else says you belong here just as much as anyone else you're smart you're funny you're beautiful and if they can't see that then they're blind" kordell said with his voice calm but unwavering

joy's lips trembled but she didn't look away

"and as for kaylor? she can stay mad she lost the privilege of being your friend the moment she tried to break you down don't give her the satisfaction of letting her words get to you you're stronger than this baby" kordell continued with a smirk tugging at his lips

for the first time all day joy felt a small spark of warmth return to her chest

she reached up wiping her cheeks with shaky hands

"you really think so?" joy said

"I know so I've got you joy and nobody in this villa kaylor included is gonna take that from us" kordell said with his voice softening

he leaned in pressing a tender kiss to her forehead

joy sank back into his embrace letting his words wrap around her like a shield

IT WAS FINALLY MORNING TIME and joy was super excited to talk to kordell's family she's been dying to meet them ever since they fell for eachother completely

she squealed her way into the makeup room with her water bottle in hand

once she opened the door the girls were all already in there doing their makeup

"I get to talk to my man's mom today!" joy squealed swinging her water bottle in the air in circles while she danced

joy made her way to her station and sat down setting her water bottle down then sighing

"okay so what look are we going for today? straight hair or curled up? I need to look spotless for my mother in law I can't be looking a mess and I have to cover up completely so she don't think I'm just some villa hoe" joy rambled making the girls laugh

"joy your fine and I think you should straighten your hair" leah said

"really? straight? you sure?" joy said while she cringed looking at herself in the small mirror that was infront of her

joy just nodded before she immediately started with her hair

she decided not to do her makeup and just stay natural cause her mother loved her that way

after joy was done fixing up her hair she changed into a brownish butterfly bikini and made her way out the makeup room

she skipped her way downstairs seeing everyone having conversations she then skipped her way kordell who was talking with kendall

joy immediately jumped on him which made him gasp and immediately wrap his arms around her

"what I miss?" joy said while she laid there on her back on top of kordell

"nicole is in there talking to her parents" kendall said which made joy gasp

before joy can stand up kordell kissed her on the lips then she made her way out the garden

joy immediately ran to find leah and jana and once she seen them at a sofa she immediately went to them

"oh my gosh joy! how did it go" leah said putting a smile on her face

"it went so good i can literally cry right now i don't know why" joy chuckled

"I know your brothers are whole vibe but what about kordell?" leah said

"oh my gosh it was too much jokes being thrown" joy said flipping her hair

"I know, but I also know she misses me I could see it in her eyes she smiled the whole time acted all strong but I know my mom I know when she's putting on a front she just won't say it because she doesn't want me to feel guilty" joy whispered with her voice trembling

leah wiped at her own tears

"that's what moms do they always put us first even when they're hurting" leah said

joy nodded with her body shaking with silent sobs

"I hate that she has to do everything alone I hate that she never gets a break I should be there helping with my brothers making her laugh when she's stressed just being there but instead I'm here" joy said

"she'd be so proud of you though she already is" jana said as her voice cracked

joy let out a watery laugh

"she told me to stop making bad decisions on national TV" joy said

leah giggled through her own tears nudging joy playfully

they all laughed but it quickly turned into more sniffles and shared sobs

leah and jana didn't even hesitate they both wrapped their arms around joy pulling her into a tight warm embrace

"and she loves you more than anything she's strong but you're her baby no matter how far you are she knows you love her and I bet she brags about you to everyone" leah added

joy buried her face in their shoulders letting herself cry freely now

"I just miss her so much" joy said

leah stroked her back soothingly

"she misses you too babe but she knows you'll be home soon and when you are? you better believe she's gonna squeeze the life out of you the second she sees you" leah said

joy sniffled finally pulling back to wipe her face

the three of them sat there hugging tightly with their sniffles filling the quiet villa

kordell had his arm draped around joy absentmindedly tracing circles on her arm while she rested her head against his chest

"I liked meeting your family today your brother was funny but your godmom? she's so sweet" joy murmured smiling up at him

"and not having to worry about someone interrupting every five minutes?" joy said

"exactly, just me and you, living regular life maybe meeting up with our families, your brothers roasting me in person" kordell laughed

"oh that's happening" joy said

"and just... seeing where this takes us" kordell said

joy stared at him for a moment before shaking her head with a soft smile

"It's crazy I never thought I'd meet someone who gets me like this who makes me feel this sure" joy said
