Chapter 42: 41. It's never too early

"You mean you and Taehyung will give a separate gift and Jungkook and I should give a separate gift, right?" Seokjin asked over breakfast.

"Yeah. In the beginning I thought you and I would give one and Tae and Kook would give one, but then I realized that Yoongi and I go way back. Even Tae and Yoongi go way back. So I want to gift him as a family. Something really special. Don't misunderstand, please" Namjoon explained.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. Anyways, Jungkook and I are staying at home today. If you are free, we can go and look for the gifts" Seokjin said.

"I can't do that. I already have to take two leaves next week and a whole week next month for Tae's surgery. I can't take anymore leaves. You three go and buy your gift. I will order mine online" Namjoon said as he got up.

"Take care" he pecked Seokjin's lips and left.

"Aish! These kids!" Seokjin muttered as he walked into Namjoon's flat to wake up the other two.

"Tae!! Jungkookie!! Wake up, you guys!! We have a lot of work" he said as he went over to Taehyung's side and shook him awake.

Taehyung woke up, but Jungkook looked close to kicking the next person that tried to wake him up. Seokjin sighed and went back home.

Seokjin and Taehyung were chilling on the sofa and watching a movie while Jungkook entered sleepy-eyed and sat in between the two of them and spaced out sleepily.

"Earth to Jungkook??? Hello?! Earth to Jungkookie!!!!" Seokjin yelled and finally caught his attention.

Taehyung kept chuckling at Jungkook, who slurred half of his words as he muttered for breakfast.

"There is an apple and two sandwiches for you on the table. Peel it yourselves" Seokjin said and pushed Jungkook off the couch to get him to wake up fully. But Jungkook was too sleepy to acknowledge it and simply settled on the floor.

"Aish!! This kid!" Seokjin got up and dragged Jungkook to the kitchen and sat him on the chair before placing the apple, sandwiches and a peeler in front of him. He went back to the movie, leaving Jungkook to peel the apple for himself.

"Hyung, don't you think he is too sleepy to peel it himself?" Taehyung asked once Seokjin came back and resumed the movie. "Haan, true....KOOKIE, DON'T MESS UP!!" he hollered.

He didn't get a reply. 'Maybe he fell asleep on the table' Seokjin thought, but let him be as he always hated waking Jungkook up.

Jungkook peeled his apple and ate the sandwiches and the apple.

He got up, still not completely awake, and placed the peels in the stand and threw the peeler into the dustbin.

He then walked back sleepily and settled in between Taehyung and Seokjin and dozed off again. "Stupid goosebutt!" Seokjin muttered when he noticed that Jungkook was sleeping again.

Taehyung put an arm around his boyfriend and let his head fall onto his shoulder.

Seokjin went to the kitchen to get a juice bottle for all of them. He went to the dustbin to throw the straw covers, and noticed the peeler in it. He gasped and went and pulled the drawer.

Apple peels. That's what he found in the drawer.

"JEON JUNGKOOK!!"

Taehyung had been playing with Jungkook's hair when Seokjin suddenly started screaming. He flinched as Jungkook jolted awake, all sleep erased clean from his face.

"YOU DIRTY GOOSE!! GET YOUR FUCKING ASS RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!! I SWEAR TO GOD, I AM GONNA SPANK IT TILL IT BECOMES NUMB, YOU SHITTER OF A SHITTER GOOSE!! I TOLD YOU NOT TO MESS UP, WHAT THE FUCKING HELL IS THIS??" he screamed as Jungkook ran into the kitchen, his eyes wide enough to fall off their sockets.

"W-What happened?" he stuttered, his voice soo small that any mad bull would fall for it.

But this was Kim Seokjin.

"FUCKING APPLE PEELS AND FUCKING PEELER!! PEELER IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE DRAWER AND PEELS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE DUSTBIN! YOU FUCKING DESTROYED MY FAVORITE PEELER!!" he yelled. Taehyung came in and hugged Jungkook from behind.

"Hyung, cut him some slack! He woke up just now. You can buy a new one" Taehyung suggested. "No, no, keep quiet, you are making it worse" Jungkook muttered.

"TAEHYUNG!! I THOUGHT YOU WOULD SUPPORT ME!! I HATE YOU BOTH, GET LOST!!" Seokjin yelled and stormed out of the room.

Taehyung snickered. "What are you gonna do?" he asked. Jungkook groaned and grimaced. "Gonna take the peeler out of the dustbin and wash it" he groaned again.

"Aigooo" Taehyung said and turned Jungkook towards him.  He searched for his lips before kissing him lovingly. "Now go" he said as he pulled out of the kiss and settled on the kitchen counter to give him some company.

Jungkook threw the peels and washed the peeler and lifted Taehyung in a fireman lift and brought him back to the living room.

"I cleaned it" he muttered, looking down at his feet.

Seokjin stared at him for a long time before sighing and going inside to get changed. "You both get ready, we gotta buy a gift" he said as he went.

"He really hates it, doesn't he?" Taehyung asked. He didn't expect him to get soo mad for something soo small.

"He does. He is a neatness freak. And he really really hates it when someone does something like this" Jungkook replied as he chuckled.

They then went out and bought a gift for the wedding and then went to the park to take a stroll in the afternoon sun. It was winter after all.

"I am excited for the wedding" Taehyung said. "Me too" Jungkook said. "Listen, I am sorry for getting soo mad earlier" Seokjin said. "It's okay, hyung. I understand" Jungkook said.

They walked in silence for some time before Seokjin sighed. "I love Namjoon. I know it's really too early, but 'It's never too early or too late' according to me, and I really love him. I want to marry him too" he said out of the blue.

Silence followed after what he said for almost ten minutes before Taehyung spoke up.

"I do understand how you feel, hyung. Even I believe that 'It's never too early or too late'. So if you really feel so, you have all my support. I will help you in any possible way. I can tell you that my brother feels the same way too" he said.

Seokjin smiled at him and rubbed his arm gently to show him that he was thankful. There was a lump in his throat that wouldn't let him speak.

Hearing that, at that moment, Jungkook made a decision. Taehyung was a keeper. It's never too early.

He wanted to spend the rest of his life with Taehyung too.

Even if his eyes would never be normal again, even if the surgery failed, even if it succeeded, he wanted to be with him forever. He wanted to share all of his happiness, sorrow, hardships and wonderful times with the older.

He still loved Hoseok, and even Taehyung knew that. But he learned to get over it.

He learned to get over his first love and move on with the love of his life.

He learned to give his unconditional love to someone who made him feel better without any effort.

He learned to love Taehyung.

For whatever and however he was.

He just wanted to wait for the right time. The surgery was in a month.

He wanted his boyfriend to be able to see the ring that he would present for him. He wanted him to be able to see him kneeling down. He wanted him to see the tears of joy in his eyes when he accepted him.

Because he was sure even Taehyung felt the same way.

'I love you, Tae! I love you a lot! Just wait.....I will make you feel like the most worthy person in the whole world'  he thought as they continued their stroll.
