RILEY

“Hey, Tristan, what brings you here?” I asked, surprised to see him.

His grin was wide and infectious. “Just hanging with friends, babe,” he said, stepping closer to me.

I glanced at Amanda, who was glaring at me.

“I missed you,” I whispered, wrapping my arms around him and pressing my lips to his.

He was taken aback, but he kissed me back right away. His friends whistled and cheered, and I pulled away, feeling a bit embarrassed.

I wasn’t usually like this. I was the girl who cringed at public displays of affection. I didn’t like being the center of attention, but my jealousy was getting the best of me.

“Wow, I wouldn’t mind waking up to that every day,” he whispered, kissing me just below my ear.

I blushed. “Stop it, I need to get to class.” I tried to pull away, but he held me tighter.

“Hold on, can we meet up at lunch?” he asked, hope in his eyes.

I nodded and gave him a small smile. “Sure, see you then.” I turned to leave, shooting Amanda a cold look on my way out.

She looked pissed, but I wasn’t going to let her get to me. I knew it wasn’t healthy, but I couldn’t help it.

Maybe she’d back off now that she’d seen us together.

“Wow, that was hot. You were like a she-wolf marking her territory,” Lucy said as I sat down next to her in class.

I rolled my eyes. “You need to stop reading those werewolf books,” I sighed, pulling out my books as the classroom filled up.

“It was romantic, Ri. You should have seen Amanda’s face. It was priceless.” She laughed, twirling a pencil between her fingers.

“Should I be worried? Is she like the queen bee who bullies everyone?” I asked, grimacing.

Lucy shrugged. “Everyone who’s been with Tristan thinks they’re the queen bee,” she said. I gave her a look.

“Except you, of course,” she added quickly.

She laughed. “Don’t worry about her, babe. But I heard she’s back for good. She and Tristan have the same friends, that’s why she’s always around.”

I pouted. “Ugh, I feel so uncool around his friends,” I complained, covering my face with my hands.

“Not at all. Once they get to know you, they’ll see how cool you are, just like Tristan did.”

“I hope so. But enough about me. Did you talk to Andrew?” I asked, changing the subject.

Lucy shook her head.

“I’m going to talk to him at lunch. I’m really worried,” she said, avoiding my gaze. I rubbed her shoulder.

“Are you sure you’re making the right choice? I mean, Theo’s going back to LA, and you’ve been with Andrew for a while. I think he’d forgive you, Lu.”

“I know, Ri. I know there’s no future with Theo, but I don’t feel the same passion with Andrew. I mean, how do you feel when Tristan kisses you?” she asked.

I blushed and squirmed in my seat, thinking about Tristan’s kisses. A small smile spread across my face.

“Exactly!” She pointed at me and continued, “I don’t feel that way with Andrew, and I didn’t realize it until Theo kissed me. It’s hard to explain, babe.”

I nodded. “I get it, and I respect your decision. I just want you to be sure.”

She smiled at me, and we stopped talking as the teacher walked in and started class.

When the lunch bell rang, I gathered my things and said goodbye to Lucy.

I pulled out my phone and called Tristan as I walked to my locker. He didn’t answer.

I stuffed my things in my locker and headed to the cafeteria. I was about to text Tristan when someone grabbed me from the side.

I almost screamed, but a hand covered my mouth.

I looked back and saw Tristan’s green eyes looking at me. I sighed in relief.

“It’s just me, Adams,” Tristan laughed, removing his hand.

I pushed him away. “You scared me!” I said, my heart still racing.

“That was the point,” he smirked. He pushed me against a wall, hidden by the janitor’s closet, and started kissing me.

~Oh wow!~

“Mmm... someone might see us, Tristan,” I said between kisses. His lips moved from my chin to my neck.

~God, this feels amazing.~

“You didn’t mind this morning,” he said, pressing himself against me. I could feel his hardness against my stomach. “God, I missed you so much.”

“Umm... this morning... that was because…” I tilted my head to give him better access, but he pulled back to look at me.

“Because of Amanda,” he finished for me.

I stared at him. “How did you—did you—” He cut me off by putting a finger to my lips, and I swallowed hard, looking into his intense gaze.

~Why am I so turned on right now?~

“I know you better than you know yourself, babycakes.” He smirked, and I blinked, trying to process what he was saying.

But all I could think about was his finger on my trembling lips.

“And I know that you’re thinking about kissing me right now, or maybe more…”

His finger traced a path from my lips down to my chest. I shivered as he outlined the shape of my breasts through my baggy hoodie.

~Great choice, Riley. Nothing screams sexy like an oversized hoodie.~

“And I can tell your nipples are hard under this hoodie,” he murmured in that deep, husky voice of his. I could feel my panties growing damp.

~Okay, Lu. I get it.~

~Passion.~

~Hell yeah. That’s important.~

“Tristan…” I gasped as his hand slipped under my hoodie, pushing my bra down.

~Oh, God!~

I clutched his t-shirt, my eyes squeezed shut. I prayed no one could see us, because I was in no state to push him away.

He was driving my body wild with desire.

His hand cupped my breast, giving it a gentle squeeze.

“Damn, they’re so soft and perfect,” he groaned, his head buried in my neck. I let out a soft moan.

“And I was right,” he murmured against my neck, a smile in his voice as he pinched one of my hard nipples. I gasped, a rush of pleasure and excitement coursing through me.

“You’re driving me crazy.” He sighed, pulling back slightly and removing his hands from under my hoodie.

~Wait, what? No!~

“You’re right, though. Someone could see us, and I can’t control myself around you,” he said, a smirk playing on his lips as he kissed my forehead.

“Jerk!” I muttered, a small smile on my face as I adjusted my clothes, feeling sexually frustrated.

“I heard that.”

“It was meant to be heard. Duh!” I smirked back at him, brushing past him and bumping his shoulder.

“This way, babe.” He took my hand, leading us in the opposite direction, towards the school entrance.

“But the cafeteria is this way?” I gave him a puzzled look.

“We’re going out for lunch. It’s called a date. Duh!” He winked at me casually and kept walking, leaving me trying to suppress the smile threatening to break out on my face.

~Damn! He really is something else.~
