RILEY

Tristan steered us to a cozy burger place, a little ways off from school. It was quiet, with just a handful of adults scattered around.

“Think we’ll make it back to school on time?” I asked, glancing at my watch.

“Absolutely. And besides, playing hooky every now and then isn’t the end of the world,” he replied, sliding into an empty booth.

“You’re a terrible influence, Tristan Harris,” I laughed, sweeping my hair to one side.

“And yet, you adore me.” He winked, planting a kiss on my cheek. I froze.

He’d said it as a joke, but the idea of being in love with him sent a warm, fuzzy feeling through me.

I wasn’t sure if I could picture a future with him, but it wasn’t exactly a mystery—I was falling for him, and falling hard.

“Riley?” He waved a hand in front of my face, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“What are you in the mood for?” he asked, looking puzzled. I realized the waitress was standing by our booth, ready to take our order.

“Sorry. I’ll take a cheeseburger and some curly fries.” I smiled at her, and she nodded before leaving our table.

Tristan draped his arm behind our seat, turning his body to face me fully.

“You seemed a million miles away. What’s up?”

“Nothing. Just school stuff, the usual.” I shrugged, avoiding his gaze. He gently lifted my chin.

“You’re a terrible liar. Did you know that?” he asked, chuckling softly. I blushed furiously.

~Damn it! He can see right through me.~

“Ummm... I was just thinking about the future. Like... college and... you know... what comes next...” I stumbled over my words, hoping he’d drop it.

“You mean our future?” he asked, a playful smirk on his face.

“Is there one?” I blurted out, biting my lip.

He looked taken aback by my question. “What do you mean?”

“Nothing... I’m just overthinking. Forget it,” I replied, my nerves getting the best of me. I tried to distract myself by scrolling through my phone.

“Don’t use your phone when you’re with me,” he said, plucking the phone from my hands.

“Tristan, give it back!” I reached for my phone, but he held it high above my reach. I rolled my eyes and gave up.

“Fine, keep it,” I huffed, crossing my arms over my chest.

“What’s bothering you, babe? Talk to me,” Tristan said gently, setting my phone on the table.

“I’m just worried. We’re dating and everything’s great, but you’ve been with other girls, and you’re obviously more experienced than me.”

I sighed. “So what happens after high school? Am I just a high school fling or is this serious? What if you get bored of me? Or worse, what if I’m bad at sex?”

I was babbling like a madwoman, while Tristan just stared at me, eyebrows raised, a small smile playing on his lips.

“Wow, you’ve got a lot going on in that head of yours.” He laughed, pulling me closer to kiss my cheek, but I stopped him.

“It’s not funny, Tristan. I’m serious.”

“Okay, let’s clear something up. Yes, I’ve been with other girls, but none of it meant anything to me, including Amanda. We just hooked up a few times. I’m not proud of it, Riley. It’s just who I was.”

A look of pain crossed his face. “I had my reasons, and I’ll tell you about them when the time is right. And no, you’re not just a high school fling. This is serious.”

He looked me straight in the eyes, and I could tell he meant every word. I believed him.

“Okay, I’m sorry for dumping all that on you,” I mumbled, looking down at my hands.

He gently stroked my face. “It’s okay. I’m just glad you feel comfortable talking to me about this.”

He smiled and kissed my cheek. “I could never get bored of you. And what was the other thing?” He pretended to think, and I blushed.

“Nothing, the food’s here,” I said quickly, trying to change the subject, but he shook his head.

“Oh, right. Bad at sex? I doubt it. And we’ll find out soon enough, if you’re so worried about it,” he whispered in my ear.

My eyes widened in shock. “Stop it.” I pulled away, his touch sending a thrill through me.

“I know, I’m irresistible, babycakes. Let’s eat.” He sighed and moved a little further away. We started eating, chatting about other things.

I found myself really enjoying our date, my cheeks aching from smiling so much. I noticed he never mentioned his parents, and I didn’t push him to.

I told myself he’d tell me when he was ready.

“Shit, we’re late. Let’s go.” Tristan tossed some bills on the table and stood up to leave, but I didn’t want to go back to school.

I was having too much fun, and I wanted to spend more time with him.

“I don’t want to go back to school,” I pouted.

I could see him trying to hide a smile. “You’re a terrible influence, Riley Adams,” he teased, earning a glare from me.

“Alright, alright, are you sure?” he asked, chuckling softly. I nodded, biting my lip.

“So what do you want to do?” he asked as we left the burger place and headed for his car.

“Let’s go to your house,” I blurted out.

He stopped in his tracks. “Ummm…you do know I was joking earlier, right? We don’t have to—”

“I want to,” I cut him off.

He exhaled softly. “You’re always full of surprises, Adams,” he chuckled, holding the car door open for me.

Soon, we were on our way to his place.

“Where’s Susan?” I asked as I stepped into Tristan’s house, the door closing behind me.

“She’s at preschool. Mrs. Waters is with her. They’ll be back around five.”

“And your dad’s out of town again?” I asked, turning to face him. He nodded slightly, avoiding my eyes.

I wanted to ask about his mom, but I was scared it might upset him.

“Looks like we have the house to ourselves.” I changed the subject, smirking as I settled onto his couch. He looked at me, a small smile playing on his lips.

“I love you, Riley Adams,” he whispered.

I froze, not moving a muscle.

“What?”

“I love you,” he repeated, moving closer. He sat down in front of me and I swallowed hard, staring into his eyes.

I forgot to breathe for a moment as his gaze dropped to my lips.

~Oh my God!~

~Did I hear him right?~

~He loves me?~

I couldn’t believe it. I was speechless.

“I—”

But he silenced me with a soft kiss, and I melted into him.

“You don’t have to say anything. Just kiss me,” he murmured against my lips. I smiled, kissing him back as he pulled me onto his lap.

“You really love me?” I asked, pulling away. He nodded, a beautiful smile on his face. I blinked back tears and kissed his forehead.

“We don’t have to do this, babe. I know it’s your first time and—”

“Wait! How do you know it’s my first time?” I interrupted.

He tried to suppress his laughter. “I didn’t. You just confirmed my suspicion.”

“Damn. I’m really dumb,” I groaned, sliding off his lap.

“I love you anyway.” He smirked, pulling me closer. My heart fluttered in response. I didn’t think I’d ever get used to hearing him say it.

“I want to do this now, Tristan. Don’t make me beg you.” I tugged at his hands, and he chuckled deeply.

“God, you’re so cute.”

“I can’t believe the roles are reversed. Are you going to fuck me now or not?” I asked, hands on my hips.

He raised his eyebrows. “That’s very romantic, Adams.” In an instant, he had me over his shoulder, and I let out a small gasp.

“You asked for it, and I’m done holding back.” He started up the stairs.

~Fuck, this is actually happening.~

I had acted all confident a few seconds ago, but now I was starting to feel nervous.

Tristan placed me on his bed and went to close the door. The room was dimly lit by the afternoon sun. He took off his shirt, revealing his perfect abs.

~Holy fuck!~

Not a single ounce of fat on his body.

He looked like a damn model.

He started moving closer, and I held my breath as he brushed my hair away from my face.

“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do this,” he whispered, kissing my lips. I kissed him back passionately, running my fingers through his hair.

He pushed me onto the bed and took off my hoodie. I bit my lip, feeling insecure about my body, but all my fears vanished when I saw the way he was looking at me.

“Fuck, I can’t believe you’ve been hiding all this under that hoodie.” He ran his hands down my neck to my breasts.

I closed my eyes, arching my back. God, it felt so fucking good.

He started kissing my neck, then unclasped my bra in one swift movement, freeing my breasts.

“Are you sure about this, babe?” Tristan groaned against my neck.

“Yes,” I mumbled. He took one of my nipples in his mouth.

~Why didn’t we do this sooner?~

I felt so damn good, and my pussy was soaked by now. He started to remove my jeans, pulling them down my legs.

I was shy about being naked, but he didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all. He kept reassuring me it was going to be great.

Then he took off his pants, followed by his underwear, and my eyes widened at the sight of his package.

~Damn, it’s huge.~

This was the first time I was seeing one in real life, and my cheeks turned a deep shade of red.

“Like what you see?” Tristan smirked, hovering above me, and I pulled him closer, pressing my lips to his.

He trailed his hands down to my center. I jerked beneath him when he touched my core.

“Fuck, Riley. You’re so wet,” he growled, pulling back slightly. I could see his eyes darkening with desire.

He started to run his fingers along my wet folds as I squirmed beneath him. We were both naked, and his touch was driving me wild with desire.

He started to go down on me, but I stopped him, as I wasn’t entirely comfortable. I wasn’t sure if I was clean down there, and I had no idea what usually happened.

I wasn’t prepared; I was too embarrassed.

“No, Tristan. I don’t think that—oh!”

He ignored me, just started to suck my clit. I gripped his hair tighter, unable to control myself.

“You taste amazing, babe.” He continued to suck and finger my pussy while I pushed his head deeper between my legs.

~God, this is so amazing.~

I could feel the pressure building in the pit of my stomach, and within seconds I came all over his mouth.

I fell back on the bed, trying to catch my breath as he crawled on top of me with a satisfied grin.

“So fucking beautiful. Every inch of you is perfect, Riley,” he whispered, pushing a strand of my hair back. I could see nothing but pure love in his eyes.

~How can I not fall in love with this guy?~

“~You~ are the perfect one, Tristan. Not me.” I traced his jawline with a smile. He pressed his cock against my pussy, and my body tensed up immediately.

“I’ll be gentle,” he promised, a hint of worry in his eyes.

“And I trust you.” I nodded, leaning in to kiss him as he slowly entered me.

The pain was sharp as he pushed deeper, and I squeezed my eyes shut, tears welling up. He kissed them away, and I opened my eyes to look at him.

“I love you so much, Adams,” he murmured.

I wanted to say it back, but I didn’t want him to think I was only saying it because he had.

He began to move slowly, and the pain gradually faded, replaced by pleasure.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

I laughed softly at his concern. “Yeah, it feels good.”

“Good, because I’m just getting started.” He winked at me.

I giggled as he pulled me onto his lap.

***

Two hours later, we collapsed onto the bed, breathless and spent.

“That was—” He chuckled, pulling me closer as I lay on his chest.

“I know.” I was panting too, out of breath.

“You sure you haven’t done this before?” he teased. I swatted him playfully, and he laughed.

“I’m sorry, babe, but that was fucking amazing. I can’t resist you.” He kissed my forehead, and I smiled at his words.

“Mmm… I have to be at work in—” I glanced at the clock on his wall and sat up abruptly.

“Shit, now!” I grabbed my clothes and dashed into his bathroom.

“You know you can change in front of me, right?” Tristan called after me, but I ignored him and quickly got dressed.

When I came back, he was still naked, the sheets covering him from the waist down.

“Get dressed. I need a ride to the library,” I said, my voice frantic. He just gave me a lazy smile.

“Skip work, babe.” He pulled me towards him, and I landed on his chest. I pulled away quickly, trying to resist him.

“I’m going to kill you,” I threatened.

“Okay, I’m up. You were more fun when we were making love,” he grumbled as he got out of bed.

“What was that?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I said...you look cute.” He flashed me a grin, and I tried to hide my smile at his adorable expression.

“You’re such a jerk.” I shook my head, a small smile on my face.

“But like I said, you love me anyway, babycakes.” He smirked confidently.

“I never said that,” I retorted, crossing my arms over my chest.

“You don’t have to say it. I can see it in your eyes.”

~Damn! Is it that obvious?~

“Whatever, let’s go.” I walked out of his room, and he followed me. We got into his car, and he started driving towards the library.

“We’re still on for tutoring after work, right?” he asked, glancing at me.

“Yeah, of course.”

“Cool.” He grinned widely, and I knew exactly what he was thinking.

“Don’t get any ideas. We’re only going to be studying for two hours,” I said firmly, earning a glare from him.

I looked out the window, hiding my smile from him, and let out a soft sigh. I was no longer a virgin, and I couldn’t wait to tell Lucy.

I was also happy that Tristan and I were closer now.

I still couldn’t believe that this hot guy next to me, who had once been my biggest enemy, was now my boyfriend, and that he actually loved me.

If anyone had told me this a few months ago, I would have laughed.

~Life is so fucking unpredictable.~
