Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Sky bring the rain down

Breaking Through The Sky [Skynani]Words: 15050

The First Break

The air inside Sakda's house was heavy-not from heat, not from exhaustion, but from something worse.

Desperation.

No one had slept.

Not Sky.

Not Joong, not Santa, not Dunk.

Not Thanawat, who sat silently in the corner, jaw clenched, eyes unreadable.

And definitely not Perth.

While the others paced, planned, argued, he worked.

No sleep.

No breaks.

Only lines of code, firewalls, encrypted trails.

Jason had covered his tracks well.

But Perth was better.

Dunk, leaning against the desk behind him, arms crossed, murmured, "Anything?"

No response.

Perth's fingers didn't stop. His eyes never blinked.

Dunk exhaled, rubbing his face. "Man, you need to take a-"

Then-

A flicker.

A ghost of a signal.

There.

Perth froze.

Dunk immediately tensed. "What? What is it?"

Perth's breath caught. His hands moved faster, refining, tracing, chasing-

And then-

A location.

Not precise. Not exact. But enough.

The room stilled.

Perth pulled up the trace, heart pounding.

Dunk inhaled sharply.

"...Is that-?"

Perth swallowed hard. His voice was hoarse from exhaustion, but unshakable.

"...Nani."

Silence.

Then-an explosion of movement.

Chairs scraping, guns being checked, voices rising.

Sky was already moving before Perth even finished the word.

The others followed.

Because this time, Jason had fucked up.

And they were coming for him.

------

Holding Him Back

Sky had never felt this kind of rage before.

Not when he faced criminals.

Not when he had stared down death itself.

Not even when he had almost lost his squad.

But this?

This was different.

This was Nani.

And Nani had been taken.

His hands shook as he gripped the edge of the table, his knuckles turning white.

"We move now." His voice was low, dangerous.

No one spoke at first.

Then-

Thanawat's calm voice cut through the tension.

"No."

Sky's head snapped up. His fury burned into Thanawat, sharp as a blade.

"No?" His voice dared him to repeat it.

Thanawat didn't flinch. "Not yet."

Sky slammed a fist against the table. "He doesn't HAVE time for us to wait!"

The entire room tensed.

Sakda sighed, rubbing his temples before stepping forward. "Sky."

Sky's breath was sharp, uneven. He was barely holding it together.

"We have a location," he bit out. "We have the means. If we wait-"

"If we rush in, we lose."

Dew's voice this time.

Firm. Unshaken.

Sky turned to him, jaw clenched, rage barely contained.

Dew never looked at him like this.

Like he was scared for him.

Not scared of what could happen.

But scared of what Sky would do.

"Sky," Dew said quietly. "You're not thinking clearly."

Sky's breath hitched.

Not thinking clearly?

He was thinking too clearly.

He was thinking about Nani, alone, captured, possibly bleeding out somewhere.

He was thinking about Laurent-about how he would kill him with his bare hands if he ever saw him again.

He was thinking about Nani's voice, trembling, whispering-

"You can't promise that."

And Sky had promised anyway.

"Watch me."

Now Nani was gone.

And Sky had failed.

-----

Sky moved for the door.

But Thanawat was faster.

A firm grip locked onto his shoulder, forcing him to stop.

Sky snapped.

"Get out of my way." His voice was a warning, edged with pure, raw fury.

Thanawat's grip didn't budge. "Listen to me."

Sky pushed against it.

"I SAID-"

Another hand grabbed his other arm.

Sakda.

Then Dew.

They weren't just holding him back.

They were anchoring him.

Sky struggled. "LET. ME. GO."

Thanawat's voice was still calm-but beneath it was something steel-hard.

"Sky."

Sky froze.

Because Thanawat didn't use that voice often.

The voice that wasn't just his superior officer.

It was the voice of a man who had lost everything before.

And who wasn't going to let Sky do the same.

Sky's chest heaved. His eyes were burning. His hands clenched into fists.

"If we go now," Thanawat said quietly, "without a plan, without knowing what we're up against-Nani dies."

The words hit him like a bullet.

Sky's body locked up.

His breath stopped.

Thanawat's grip on his shoulder softened.

Sakda let go, but stayed close.

Dew sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I get it, man. I do. But this isn't how we save him."

Sky's shoulders trembled.

For a long, agonizing second-he didn't move.

Didn't speak.

Didn't breathe.

Then-

Finally-

He exhaled.

A long, shaky, broken breath.

And he let them hold him up.

Because if he didn't-

He might just fall apart.

-----

Preparing for War

The room was quiet.

Not the kind of quiet that meant peace.

The kind of quiet that meant something deadly was coming.

Sky, still seething, forced himself to focus as the team gathered around the long table.

Maps. Surveillance feeds. Weapons layouts.

Everything they had was laid out in front of them.

But it still wasn't enough.

Nani was out there.

He is waiting to be save.

And they had one shot to get this right.

---

Breaking Down the Plan

Thanawat stood at the head of the table, his eyes scanning the team. His usual calm was there-but underneath it, a storm was brewing.

"This isn't just a rescue," he said. His voice was measured, sharp. "This is a takedown."

No one spoke.

Because they all knew what he meant.

They weren't just getting Nani back.

They were ending this.

Dew leaned forward, arms crossed. "We split into three teams."

Captain Ohm nodded. "Jason has had the upper hand for too long. We take that from him."

Perth, already pulling up surveillance footage, started laying out entry points.

"This is the estate we tracked Nani to." He zoomed in, highlighting weak spots. "Jason's security is tight, but there are gaps."

Sakda exhaled. "What's the perimeter?"

Perth adjusted the feed. "Guards here, here, and here. They rotate every twelve minutes."

Joong studied the map. "Escape routes?"

Perth's fingers flew over the keyboard. "Two main exits. One through the west gate, another through the docks."

Santa smirked. "So we either bust him out like a prison break... or steal him like a kidnapping."

Sky's voice was deadly calm. "Whatever works."

Thanawat ignored him, turning to Gemini.

"Interpol is not officially involved. You sure you want in on this?"

Gemini's face was like stone. His partner had almost died.

Jason had mocked him.

Laurent had betrayed him.

His answer was immediate. "I'm in."

Thanawat nodded. "Good."

Now-the real planning began.

-------

Dividing the Team

Thanawat stood at the center of the room, his presence commanding as he surveyed the squad. The table in front of him displayed a detailed satellite map of Jason's compound, marked with red zones for security perimeters, blue for weak points, and black for unknown threats.

Every person in the room was tense, waiting for the plan to fall into place.

"We need to move in coordinated teams," Thanawat began, his voice calm but firm. "We have one objective-extract Nani and eliminate any threat standing in our way."

Sky clenched his fists at the word "extract." They were talking about Nani like he was just another asset.

He wasn't.

He was family.

But Sky didn't argue. Not yet.

Thanawat continued, "Jason's compound is built for defense. He's expecting an attack, but he doesn't know when or how hard we're coming. That's our advantage."

He turned to Dew. "Your team will take the perimeter."

Team 1 - Perimeter Control

✔ Dew, Benz and their squad

✔ Mission: Disrupt external security, disable patrols, and ensure no reinforcements arrive.

✔ Equipment: Suppressed weapons, thermal imaging drones, and signal jammers.

Dew nodded, already analyzing the map. "Jason's got guards posted along the fence, moving in rotations. If we time it right, we can pick them off silently before they even realize what's happening."

Benz smirked, checking the silencer on his rifle. "Sounds like my kind of party."

Thanawat moved to the next phase.

"Captain Ohm, your unit is breaching the side entrance. That'll be our first major point of engagement."

Team 2 - Distraction & Tactical Entry

✔ Ohm, his 2 best men, and Santa for backup firepower.

✔ Mission: Engage guards at the east gate, create enough noise to draw internal security away.

✔ Equipment: Mid-range rifles, controlled explosives, stun grenades.

Santa grinned, twirling a smoke grenade between his fingers. "So, basically, we make a lot of noise while you all do the fun stuff?"

Ohm gave him a pointed look. "Your idea of fun usually involves getting shot at."

Santa shrugged. "And yet, I'm still here."

Thanawat ignored them and turned to the most important part of the mission.

His gaze locked onto Sky.

"You, Joong, Dunk, and Gemini are going in first. Stealth. No mistakes."

Team 3 - The Silent Extraction

✔ Sky, Joong, Dunk, and Gemini.

✔ Mission: Infiltrate Jason's private wing, locate Nani, eliminate threats silently.

✔ Equipment: Suppressed weapons, short-range comms, tactical knives.

Sky's jaw was tight. "And what happens if things don't stay quiet?"

Gemini, checking his pistol, smirked. "Then we stop being quiet."

Thanawat's eyes narrowed. "Understood?"

Sky gave a sharp nod. "Understood."

Dunk, cracking his knuckles, grinned. "Stealth and I aren't best friends, but I'll try."

Joong rolled his eyes. "Just don't trip over your own feet."

"Which leaves our final team."

Thanawat turned to Perth and Fourth.

"You two are our eyes and ears. Sakda will be watching"

Team 4 - Tech & Support

✔ Perth & Fourth stationed remotely.

✔ Mission: Hack into Jason's surveillance, disrupt internal security, monitor enemy movements.

✔ Equipment: Laptops, communication jammers, hacking software.

Perth adjusted his earpiece. "If Jason's got a system running, I'll crack it. But we'll need time."

Fourth, still pale from his injury, smirked. "Just don't get us locked out halfway through."

Perth shot him a look. "Do I look like an amateur?"

Fourth chuckled. "Honestly? Yeah, sometimes."

Sky ignored their banter and turned back to Thanawat.

"What's our contingency plan?"

Thanawat's expression hardened.

"There isn't one."

The room went still.

Thanawat exhaled, voice firm. "We go in. We get Nani. We come out. No retreat. No surrender. We burn them down"

Sky nodded once. That was all he needed to hear.

Because if Jason Blackwood thought he had already won-

He was dead wrong.

------

The room was a controlled storm of movement. Weapons clicked. Ammunition was counted. Tactical vests were strapped on.

The squad was no stranger to preparing for war. But this time-it was different.

This wasn't just another operation.

This was personal.

Sky methodically checked his gear, hands steady but mind racing. His main weapon-a silenced Glock 19, modified for quick draw. But he also secured a combat knife on his thigh holster.

He wasn't taking chances.

Joong, tightening his tactical vest, glanced at him. "You good?"

Sky's jaw clenched as he loaded a fresh magazine. "I'll be good when I get Nani back."

Dunk, strapping a pistol to his holster, muttered, "Damn. I don't think I've ever seen you this pissed."

Gemini, checking his own weapons, smirked. "Oh, we don't want him pissed we want him enraged."

Sky didn't react. He just holstered his gun and exhaled slowly.

This time, he wasn't leaving without Nani.

-----

Joong & Dunk - The Tactical Pair

Joong slung a compact MP5 over his shoulder-light, efficient, perfect for tight spaces. His secondary weapon, a 9mm Sig Sauer, was already loaded and ready.

Dunk, meanwhile, grabbed a Benelli M4 shotgun.

Joong raised an eyebrow. "Stealth mission. You bring a cannon?"

Dunk grinned. "What? I like options."

Joong sighed, tossing him a suppressor for his sidearm. "Try not to wake up the whole damn compound."

Ohm & Santa - The Distraction Team's Firepower

Ohm and his men weren't playing around. Their goal? Make noise.

✔ Ohm strapped on a tactical vest loaded with flashbangs. His primary weapon? A HK416 rifle-powerful, accurate, reliable.

✔ Santa, on the other hand, carried a M4A1 carbine. But his real fun was in his explosives pouch-stun grenades, C4 charges, and smoke bombs.

Santa grinned. "This feels excessive."

Ohm didn't even look up. "That's the point."

Dew's Perimeter Unit - The Silent Reapers

✔ Silenced submachine guns for quick eliminations.

✔ Thermal vision drones to track movements.

✔ Signal jammers to block external communications.

Dew double-checked his sidearm before glancing at Sky. "We get the signal, we move. You sure about this?"

Sky didn't hesitate. "No one touches my team and walks away."

Dew smirked. "That's what I wanted to hear."

Perth & Fourth - The Digital Ghosts

At the table, Perth was already buried in his laptop, fingers flying over the keys.

"Disrupting Jason's security won't be easy," he muttered, adjusting his earpiece. "We're talking top-tier encryption, multiple redundant systems. But once I get in, I can jam their comms, cut the lights, and if we're lucky-"

Sakda, standing behind him, cut in, "We don't rely on luck. We rely on you."

Perth exhaled. "No pressure, huh?"

"Just don't get us killed, hacker boy." Fourth nudge his arm.

Perth smirked. "No promises."

-----

A heavy silence settled over the room.

Each person focused on their own preparations, checking their gear, running through their own thoughts.

Sakda stepped up beside Sky, his expression unreadable.

"You need to keep your head," he said, voice low but firm. "Revenge makes people sloppy."

Sky didn't look at him. "This isn't revenge."

Sakda exhaled. "If that were true, I wouldn't have to remind you."

Sky clenched his jaw. He knew what Sakda meant. And he hated that he wasn't wrong.

But this wasn't just about revenge.

This was about getting Nani back.

Dew approached him next, strapping a small tracking device onto Sky's wrist. "Failsafe," he muttered. "Just in case shit goes sideways."

Sky raised an eyebrow. "You're putting a tracker on me?"

Dew smirked. "I'd put one on your forehead if I thought you'd actually stay put."

Sky didn't argue.

Because deep down-he knew Dew was right.

Across the room, Joong sat quietly, loading bullets into a spare magazine with slow, deliberate movements.

Santa, unusually serious, checked his comms twice before slumping into a chair. "Man, I hate the waiting part."

Dunk, adjusting his vest, muttered, "Just think of it as foreplay."

Santa snorted. "Okay, one-you're disgusting. Two-you're not wrong."

Perth finished his setup, stretching out his fingers. "All security feeds are linked. As soon as we breach their perimeter, I'll shut them down."

Fourth, bandaging his arm one-handed, smirked. "You're scarily efficient, you know that?"

Perth just shrugged. "I will try."

------

Thanawat watched them all, his gaze sweeping over each person. When he spoke, the weight of his authority settled over the room.

"We move at midnight."

No one questioned it.

No one hesitated.

He took a slow breath, scanning the faces of the squad again. These were his best officers. His family. And he was about to send them into hell.

His voice was steady. "One last time. What's our objective?"

Sky's voice was lethal. "Bring Nani home."

Ohm nodded. "And what's our warning?"

Dew cracked his knuckles. "No mercy."

Thanawat exhaled. "Then let's finish this."

And just like that-

They went to war.
