What's left in its aftermath is a boy who receives an inheritance from the Void, a mysterious place that embodies darkness. Had to ignore so much stuff just to read it. MC is practically a robot, no emotion, no moral, no remorse,... The main reason I dropped this novel is MC relieves heavily on his regeneration cheat skill, so he pretty much can't die which is BS in my book and also miraculous keep popping out of his ars like a rainbow. Author is telling us that if MC gets stab in the heart enough times he'll die, what a bunch of BS, that's what plot armors are for.. No one tries to hide their abilities/skills, especially the MC who flaunts his like there is no tomorrow. Why is MC escorting a noble/prince when he dispies them so much, especially when he has no interest in political affairs. Its not consistent with his personality. He's a mercenary, there are other jobs he could have taken or ignore as well, (shaking head). No one knows MC( besides his close ones) caused that one city to disappear yet he still goes to the political alliance meeting either to further incriminate or expose himself, dumb decision. Would I recommend this novel, NO. Void, a mysterious place that embodies darkness let’s continue this thought - void is darkness, but not all darkness is void. most of the females in this novel are literal psychopaths who can even kill kids and their husband, including the wife of the mc. there are here only to show how superior women are to men. The author either has a serious mental problem or is a simp who thinks women are gods. "Do you regret killing him, Avery?"Casey asked with an evaluating expression."Not at all, Mother."Avery responded immediately. A strange conversation took place on the pagoda, yet none of the assistants or servants flinched. Most people in the household were familiar with the event. 11 years ago Avery's father, Ibrahim Grant, bore witness to the Valkyrie training regiment which could only be described as cruel. After the black pillar incident, a family meeting was called, during that time the females in training were in attendance, but the happy daughter he once knew became cold and indifferent.He hounded Casey for answers before she informed of a few things Avery went through, much to his dismay. Anyone of them would completely break the will of a normal adult let alone a child. He bided his time before attempting to take Avery and Aldis away under the cover of the night. To his surprise, his plan ended when he went to get Avery. He was instantly discovered by the sleeping females and caught. He attempted to reason with Avery. A girl shouldn't have to live through so much brutality, right? That would be the rational consensus.That consensus wasn't shared by Avery. "You're a traitor to the family and you'll die like one." were the exact words she said before beheading her father without blinking. A few hours later the situation was discovered by the Valkyrie supervising the training. Upon discovery that her husband had been killed, Casey's only response was "Well, that's a pity.", along with some praising words for Avery's decisiveness. She had very little love for her husband and even less when she found out he tried to take Avery."Very good. Anyway, you have a selection of dresses to choose from."these females are the good guys were are supposed to cheer for? Love this novel
Novel is so so. Had to ignore so much stuff just to read it. MC is practically a robot, no emotion, no moral, no remorse,...
