Chapter 66 The martial arts dojo filled with people with great figures. It took the worries off Mikaylaâs for a while as she basked in the marvelous sight. On the surface, she a calm demeanor like a proper lady.
people glanced at Mikayla, and she felt somewhat unaccustomed to the attention. In the past, she was confident and bold. Unfortunately, being ignored by Jerome did a number to her selfâesteem.
As she always troubled by Jeromeâs reaction to her, her thoughts became filled with insecurities, which worsened her temper.
âMikayla, youâre here!â Michael said as he walked toward her.
He greeted her politely and warmly.
âIâm here to practice since I have some free time. You go on. People are waiting for you over there!â Mikayla said.
Michael seemed to be very popular at the dojo. He offered private coaching sessions, and many girls were interested in attending his classes. Although Ansoft might not be able to appoint Michael as their brand ambassador, he could still become a popular singer with his formidable skills.
âOkay, I just came to say hello. You go ahead and practice. Feel free to come to me if you have any difficulties,â Michael said.
Mikayla nodded at his words.
After changing her clothes, Mikayla joined several students for warmâun exercises under Coach Jimâs guidance. Following that was endurance training and some basic exercises. Mikayla could initially keep up with the group, but later on, she felt like giving up as the practice was too exhausting and monotonous.
âCome on, continue squatting!â Jim said as he blew the whistle sternly.
Unable to up, Mikayla leaned against the wall.
âMikayla, let me help you, Michael said.
âIâll teach you how to do this exercise in a less tiring way.â
Michael led Mikayla to a training area with hanging sandbags.
Wear this and the sandbag freely.â
Michael handed Mikayla a pair of gloves.
Mikayla , Donât I learn the basic kickboxing movements first?
Micheei confidently replied, âThereâs no need for you to do so. Itâs more important for you to find your passion in what youâre doing first.â
Mikayla thought that Michael sounded like a professional coach. What he said resonated with Mikayla a lot.
Mikayla fiercely hit the sandbag as Michael instructed. She even let out a yell and prepared for the sandbag to swing back and forth.
However, the sandbag didnât budge at all. Her gloved knuckles felt a twinge of pain.
Michael chuckled softly.
âTry using this technique to exert more force,â Michael said while demonstrating the movement to Mikayla.
Mikayla followed suit, and her hands no longer hurt as much. The sandbag even moved slightly.
âWow, youâre an amazing coach!â Mikayla praised.
Michael felt shy as Mikayla praised him.
He replied, âItâs just a little trick I use. If you want to gain strength, you still have to practice the basics.â
