What was Jerome trying to say?

If you had no feelings for someone, of course you wouldn’t be able to accept living under same roof with them!

Jerome knew what Mikayla was thinking even though she didn’t say anything.

He said, “We’re still husband and wife for now, so it’s perfectly fine for us to sleep in the same room. Your reaction makes me think that you’re afraid of revealing that you still secretly love me.”

Mikayla didn’t know how to reply to Jerome for a moment. “Are you saying that only by letting you sleep in the same room as me, I can prove that I don’t love you anymore?”

Jerome calmly replied, “We should try to get along like a normal couple until Grandma’s birthday. After that, if you’re still determined to get a divorce, then so be it.”

Mikayla looked at him skeptically. “We won’t need the approval of our families for that to happen?”

Jerome replied, “Well, our families need to be informed about the divorce. But regardless of what they think, the outcome ultimately depends on whether you can take on the pressure from their objection.”

His short black hair was slightly damp. The dark blue silk pajamas clung to his body, subtly revealing his well–defined abdominal muscles.
