Chapter 119 Persuaded
Kaylah sneered inwardly. âSure, of course. He listens to me in everything. And he wonât put restrictions
on me. My life now is hundreds of times better than my life in the Lowery family.â
Hendry fell silent again.
Kaylah thought in her heart that she would say harsh words to Hendry if he did not stop
probing.
She did not believe that Hendry could still pretend as if nothing had happened.
âAt that time⦠It was my family and me who were in the wrong.â
After a long while, Hendry only spat out this sentence.
Kaylah did not know what to say, and she felt very helpless.
Hendryâs gaze swept across Kaylahâs wrist and he suddenly said, âThe bracelet is not bad. Is it a gift fro
m him?â
He felt extremely bitter in his heart. He felt as if he had always been one step late.
âThis is my own thing.â Kaylah frowned and stuffed the bracelet into her sleeve.
She had designed it herself and it
had nothing to do with Aryan. Hendry believed so because Cindy spoke ill of Kaylah in front of Hendry.
Kaylah wasnât sure if Hendry believed her or not, but she didnât want to explain any
further. Whether he believed it or not seemed to have nothing to do with her.
The two of them remained silent all the way to the hospital.
Just as they parked the car, Hendry saw a familiar figure walk over from the entrance of the hospital.
âKaylah.â Aryan arrived at the hospital ahead of them and was waiting for Kaylah at the
door.
Kaylah responded and walked over to Aryan.
Just as she took two steps, Hendry grabbed her arm so hard that he seemed to crush her
bones!
âLet me go! You hurt me!â Kaylah said unhappily.
Hendry loosened his grip and his face darkened. âWhy is he here? Did you ask him to come?â
Kaylah struggled to free Hendryâs hand and said coldly, âDonât you think that I am with Aryan? So I aske
d him to come over and explain it. Isnât that good?
âBesides, Cindy kept saying that she was Aryanâs mother. Since she is ill, shouldnât her son come to vis
it her? Or she will accuse him of being unfilial.â
Kaylahâs tone was full of ridicule, and Hendryâs eyes suddenly became cold.
âDid he come to soothe Mrs. Galvan or provoke her?â
Aryan had already walked to Kaylahâs side and stood in front of her like a protector. âMr. Lowery, you br
ought Kaylah here alone. Iâm worried that you will bully her.â
âYou!â
Seeing that they were standing together, Hendry flared up.
âNever mind. Letâs go up and talk.â
Kaylah coldly interrupted Hendry. She took the initiative to hold Aryanâs arm and led
him forward.
Aryan naturally knew that Kaylah was deliberately acting intimate with him in front of Hendry. Aryan felt
bittersweet. Even though their intimacy didnât last long, it still made him feel very satisfied.
Hendry walked behind and looked at the two people in front of him holding hands intimately. His eyes b
ecame unfathomable. He was deeply frustrated.
Soon, they took the elevator to the ward where Cindy was.
At the door, Kaylah pretended to be surprised and said, âOh no, I forgot to buy some
fruits.
âWill I be taught a lesson again for not bringing anything when I visit Cindy?â
Aryan looked at her exaggerated expression and could not help but smile.
âItâs okay. Didnât she say that she was an elder? She wonât care about such a trivial
matter.â
Kaylah put on an innocent face. âIs that so? The next time I come to visit her, I will remember to bring a
Aryan smiled even more widely.
Was she cursing Cindy for not being able to leave the hospital?
Aryan reached out and rubbed Kaylahâs head. Then he held her hand and pushed open
the door.
Cindy and Alondra were chatting in the ward. When she heard the noise, Alondra immediately sat up str
When Alondra saw Kaylah and Aryan, she was stunned.
