Chapter 220 Two Days
When Kaylah arrived at the hospital, Hendry was angry with his subordinates,
âYou just let her go when she asked you? Didnât I tell you to wake me up?â
âNo one can stop what Ms. Delgado wants to do,â Chad said helplessly.
Besides, how many days has it been since you last rested? Donât you have any ideas?
If not for your own good, who would let you sleep so comfortably while the office was as busy as hell?
Hendryâs face was very gloomy. He didnât see Kaylah when he opened his eyes. His mood became ver
y bad.
Kaylah had promised that she would never leave, but as soon as Hendry fell asleep, Kaylah left right a
way. Kaylah was simply fooling him!
As Hendry frowned, the door of the ward was pushed open.
Kaylah appeared in his eyes.
Hendry immediately changed his face and looked at Kaylah with a smile. âI thought you wouldnât come
back after you left.â
Kaylah glanced at him and said pointedly, âI have always kept my word. Iâm not like some people.â
Hearing this, Chad and Hendry felt awkward.
Although Hendry was not willing to get married, he still swore to take good care of Kaylah in his vows. I
n the end, Hendry did not do it at all and let Kaylah suffer so much.
Hendry felt guilty and uncomfortable. He wanted to say something, but he saw Kaylah placing an exqui
site package heavily on the bedside table.
âThis isâ¦â Hendryâs eyes sparkled.
Kaylah turned around and looked at Hendry. She was not in a hurry to answer. Instead, she stared into
his eyes and said slowly, âI thought about it
when I went home. Although your hand was indeed. injured, it might not be because you saved me.
Hendryâs eyes flashed, but he did not say a word.
âAt that time, you were going to stop Cecilia. Regardless of whether the person standing in front of you
is me or not, you had to stop her.
âIf you
did not
stopher, I could deal with Cecilia on my own. Therefore, the fact that you saved me is not valid, and you
canât say that I caused your injury. I have no obligation to come to the hospital to
take care of you.â
every sentence that Kaylah said, Hendryâs face stiffened, and in the end, his face turned
With
sullen.
Hendry thought that he could use this as an excuse to keep Kaylah in the hospital for two days. He did
nât ask for too much. He only wanted two days of peace to get along with her so that he could confirm t
he feelings in his heart.
However, Hendry didnât expect the fact to be revealed so quickly.
At this point, Hendry couldnât ask Kaylah to stay or to take care of him anymore.
He nodded. âYouâre right. You really have no obligation to come to the hospital to take care of me. If you
Hearing him say this, Kaylah felt a little better. At the very least, Hendry admitted that she was
right.
Kaylah nodded in satisfaction and said, âAlright.â
Hendryâs eyes turned dim, and he looked very disappointed.
Chad saw Hendryâs sad face and wanted to defend Hendry. He saw Kaylah turn around
and open a package, and the aroma of food immediately spread out.
Smelling the familiar fragrance, Hendry was surprised.
Kaylah took out the food and placed it in front of Hendry. Then, she personally passed him a bowl of
soup.
âEven so, I have always been a woman of my word. Since I promised to take care of you for two days, I
will not come again,â Kaylah said.
Hendry was both surprised and happy. His mood was like riding a roller coaster. Just now, he was extrem
âIt doesnât matter. Two days it is.â
