Chapter 309 Sowing Discord
After Alondra thought it through, she quickly took action.
She remembered that since Kaylah was a designer, there would be plenty of room for her to work
behind Kaylahâs back.
Although Hendry said that he wanted nothing to do with Alondra anymore, Edith was a person
blinded by gain.
Edith wouldnât care what Hendry was thinking. As long as Alondra was good to her and gave her some
benefits, Edith would immediately stand on Alondraâs side. By then, Edith could deal with
Kaylah.
It just so happened that Edith had always liked to go out and socialize. She liked to show off in a group
of rich ladies and especially enjoyed dressing better than others.
Previously, Edith had asked Alondra to buy a customâmade dress for her just to impress the upper
class.
After figuring this out, Alondra immediately used her connections to customize a couture dress for
Edith.
Alondra had been spending money everywhere but not getting much, so she was still short on cash. M
ost importantly, although Edith was Hendryâs mother, she was shortâ
sighted and could not tell whether a dress was a knockâ
off. It was a good deal for Alondra to spend very little money to
achieve her goal.
It was a customâmade dress, so it would take time to make it.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Alondra tidied herself up and thought of a way to contact Edith, as

Edith was not very willing to see her at first, but when Alondra mentioned Kaylahâs name and said that
she had a surprise for her, Edith then agreed to meet up.
They had not seen each other for a while. The wound that Alondra left on herself because of the kidnap
ping had already healed. Now, she was a delicate and pretty girl again after dressing up.
Alondra thought that Edith was unfashionably late, but on the surface, she was still enthusiastic.
âMrs. Lowery, youâre finally here!â Alondra handed over the gift she had prepared and said with a smile,
âI havenât seen you for ages. I really miss you. A few days
ago, Dad brought back some good tea from the client. I remembered that you also drink tea, so I asked
Dad for some.â
Alondra smiled and said, âAlthough itâs just a small box, it was sold at auction for 300 thousand
dollars.â
When Edith heard the price, her disdainful expression immediately
disappeared. She pretended to be surprised and said, âYou still remember that? Thatâs so nice of you.â
âOf course, I remember,â Alondra said sadly. âAlthough there is some misunderstanding between
Hendry and me, and he doesnât want to see me for the time being, I have always thought of you as my f
Edith was flattered and smiled proudly.
âYou are the best.â
âBy the way, Mrs. Lowery, do you know that Kaylah is a famous designer?â After Alondra paved the way,
Edith hadnât gone out recently or seen the news. She actually didnât know about this. When she heard A
âWhat did you say? What designer?â
Alondra thought that Edith was a fool, but she was still smiling. She took out her phone and found a
video of Kaylah at the press conference and showed it to Edith.
âSo you donât know. It seems that Kaylah really hid it well. I guess she just never thought of you and Hen
âNow people on the Internet have all been laughing at you. It is ridiculous!â
