Chapter 5 I Donât Want Anything
Please Bookmark This website.. i will upload daily latest Chapter .. Thanks Cecilia did not dare to say
anything more.
Hendry looked through the papers with an ugly expression.
âHendry?â Cecilia said tentatively. âIs it money that she wants?â
Hendry pursed his lips. The terms were pretty straightforward. Kaylah practically didnât ask for
anything.
Cecilia saw Hendryâs expression and became more determined. âWhat did I say? A woman like her
marries you because of your money. Seeing that you love Alondra so much, she knows that she
doesnât stand a chance. Thatâs why she wants to divorce you. You cannot let her get her way!â
Kaylah figured that Hendry would sign. After all, her offer was so tempting.
To her surprise, just as she returned home, she received a call from the lawyer.
âMs. Delgado, I will discuss the details of the divorce with you on behalf of Mr. Lowery.â
âWhatâs there to talk about?â
The lawyer held the phone and looked at the man beside him tentatively. âMs. Delgado, Mr. Lowery
has prepared 5 million dollars in cash and a property for you as divorce compensation.â
Kaylah sneered, âIs he crazy or what? I made it very clear in the agreement that I didnât want anything
from the Lowery family.â
The lawyer had never seen such an absurd divorce case in his entire career. Among all the cases he
took, the party demanding the divorce always asked for money from the other party. Yet now, the man
insisted on giving money to his wife, while she was so determined to say no.
Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he continued, âItâs in the prenup. Ms. Delgado, youâre
obligated to accept it.â
âNo.â Kaylah decisively hung up the phone.
During the past few years living in the Loweryâs place, she was Hendryâs wife in name only. In fact,
she was more like a maid.
She was rich and did not want Hendryâs money. If she took his money, she would be no different from a
maid. The money would be like her salary. In such a way, Hendry and his family might think that they
did not owe her anymore.
She hung up the phone and picked up the car key.
She agreed with Aryan yesterday to go to the company to familiarize herself with the business today.
Walking into the garage, Kaylah took a deep breath. That was how her life should have been.
The cars in the 6,500 square feet underground parking lot were all part of Zionâs collections over the
years. The car key in Kaylahâs hands was handed over to her this morning.
While chatting with Zion yesterday, she praised how beautiful the new Aston Martin at the car exhibition
was. And today, she had one.
Kaylah arrived at the ZiKay Building.
She got out of the car, threw the key to the doorman to park the car, and strode in.
âHey! You! Who are you? Whatâs your business here?â
As soon as she entered the hall, someone stopped her.
âIâm here to see Aryan,â Kaylah said as she lowered her sunglasses.
The receptionist sized Kaylah up. The clothes Kaylah was wearing did not even have any labels, so the
receptionist figured that they mustnât have been from some famous brand. Seeing how casual Kaylah
was, the receptionist pulled a long face and said, âCome here.â
Kaylah walked to the reception desk and saw two receptionists with heavy makeup. The woman who
stopped her threw a notebook at Kaylah. âRegister.â
Kaylah felt a little strange. She thought, why does the ZiKay Group use such a primitive way as their
registration? I donât think the clientsâ information can be guaranteed in such a way.
Kaylah finished the registration, and the receptionist took the notebook and the pen away rudely.â Then
she pointed to the sofa in the corner and said, âSit over there and wait.â
Turning around, Kaylah saw a row of women in short skirts sitting on the sofa. They looked either pure
or wild, and all of them were staring at the elevator that was exclusive for the CEO eagerly.
Kaylah was dumbfounded. She thought, I know that Aryan has been kind of a playboy for the past few
years, but still, this is a bit too much, isnât it?
I get it now. The receptionist thinks I am one of them.
Kaylah sneered, âI have something to talk to Aryan about. Itâs business. Nothing else,â Kaylah
explained patiently.
âYeah, right. Just go there and wait,â the receptionist said impatiently.
Kaylah was good-natured. However, she still found it hard to endure anymore. She dialed a number
and said, âGet your ass down here!â
