Chapter 613 About to Leave
Kaylah was resisting. Hendry subconsciously let go of his hand.
Just then, Aryan rushed over.
âAre you alright? Did they do anything to you?â
Aryan placed his hands on Kaylahâs shoulders and looked at her up and down with worry.
âIâm fine. Are you done with your things? If yes, letâs go.â
Aryan nodded. When he was about to leave with Kaylah, a middle-aged manâs voice came from behind
them.
âWhy are you leaving in such a hurry?â
Aryan and Kaylah turned around and saw Brewer.
Although the Delgado family and the Yates family did not have much interaction, Brewer was their
elder, so they stopped in their
tracks
âWe need to deal with something at the company, so we have to go.â
Aryan spoke in a bureaucratic tone.
Brewer didnât believe it. He was experienced in the business world and could tell that Aryan was lying.
âItâs late. What could happen? My daughter is back. You should get together more often! You know, you
will be the main force in the
business worldâ
Brewer said as he looked at Hendry with satisfaction. It seemed that he had taken Hendry as his son-
in-law.
âKaylah, I heard that you were married to Hendry before. You twoâ¦â
Brewer said calmly. He did not think that what he said would make the moment more awkward.
Mila walked forward and said with embarrassment.
âDad, why did you suddenly mention this? Ms. Delgado will be embarrassed.â
As a member of the Delgado family, Kaylah was smart. She knew what was going on.
Brewer and Mila were acting. One coaxed, and the other coerced.
They did this to impress Hendry
As Kaylah thought of this, she glared at Hendry. It was said that beauties were a source of trouble, but
it seemed that men could also
cause trouble.
Kaylah knew what Brewer and Mila wanted, and so did Hendry.
Hendry began to regret it. He should not have come to this party.
Kaylah was embarrassed by what Brewer said.
âMr. Yates, you can ask me if you have any questions.â
Hendry walked over to Brewer and protected Kaylah behind him.
Kaylah looked at Hendryâs back and narrowed her eyes.
In their three-year marriage, if Hendry could stand firmly in front of Kaylah when something like this
happened, they probably wouldnât
have ended up like this.
This thought flashed through Kaylahâs mind.
Hendry was a bit rude. Brewerâs face darkened, and the smile on his lips became stiff.
âDonât get me wrong. I was just chatting with Ms. Delgado. Well⦠I hope that you can marry my
daughter!â
