âMr. Lowery, is there a misunderstanding between you and Ms. Delgado?â
Hendry lightened his grip on the pen in his hand. The pen broke in two under the strain.
Chad looked away sensibly.
âMake an appointment⦠Forget it, Iâll go to her myself!â
Hendry managed to get closer to Kaylah, but their relationship became frosty because of what
happened that night. This was not
what he wanted to see. He couldnât accept this.
Chad wanted Hendry to make it up with Kaylah. No one knew better than Chad what Hendry had done
recently.
Chad also knew how important Kaylah was to Hendry.
âMs. Delgado, Mr. Lowery is here. He is waiting for you in the lounge.â
Kimberly knew that something had happened between Kaylah and Hendry. Otherwise, Kaylah would
not be so cold to Hendry.
Therefore, Kimberly was careful when she said this, fearing that her words would make Kaylah angry.
Kaylahâs face darkened at Kimberlyâs words, and her tone became a bit colder.
âI donât want to see him! Ask him to stay away from me!â

Just as Kimberly was about to say something, the door was suddenly pushed open. Hendry was
standing at the door.
âHow could you let him in?â
Kimberly felt wronged. She didnât let Hendry in. Hendry forced his way in.
âItâs none of her business. I⦠Can we talk?â
Seeing that Kaylah didnât want to see him, Hendry reworded his question.
âItâs about our cooperation. I need to discuss something with you.â
The business was different from private matters. Hendry was sure that Kaylah would agree.
Sure enough, Kaylah hesitated for a while before she nodded at Kimberly.
Kimberly heaved a sigh of relief and turned to leave, leaving Kaylah and Hendry alone in the office.
âWhatâs wrong? If there are any problems, I can ask my people to talk to you.*

Hendry was sad about Kaylahâs cold tone. His tone became low.

to talk about between us!â
Hendry wanted to say something, but Kaylah raised her hand and interrupted him.
Kaylah knew what Hendry was going to say. She had enough of this!
No matter what Hendry said, Kaylah wouldnât change her mind.
