We're sixteen, we're dumb
We cried over that one person in our lives
That one person who made us "us" for the better and worse
But hey, at least we cried together.
We dislike our parents,
Make dumb plans to leave
Might be impossible,
But hey, at least we're in this together.
We were always lonely
Though we had "them"
We never truly did...
But hey, we have each other now.
We're scared of growing
We're scared of changing
We're scared of growing apart
But hey, do you really believe this love will fade?
I wonder if there will be a day,
Where we will look at besties going to school
Sadly, because they hate school,
And think, "once ago that was us three."
We're sixteen, we're dumb
We cry, we laugh and fight
Scared of growing old and changing
But don't you worry cause we'll always be together.

I'm tearing up a little. Midway while writing this, I realised that I have a big smile on my face. When was the last time I was smiling when writing a poem? I don't remember, honestly. I just- I love my friends so much and I want to tell them that they're precious to me every damn second of my existence. I'm going through so much right now and I'm so grateful that you two exist. I love you.
