Walking out of the house, I climbed into the waiting car. As soon as we pulled out of the gates, I dialed Hugoâs number.
âBuenos dias, Boss,â he answered.
âMeet me at the hotel in an hour,â I barked and then I ended the call without any further comment.
I leaned back against the headrest and closed my eyes as I thought about last night. How soft Alanaâs body had felt under mine. Her smell. Her taste. The way her tight little pussy squeezed my cock.
Hugo Fernandez was lucky that fucking my wife had put me in such a good mood.
I was sitting at my desk when Hugo was shown into the room. He stood before me, his hands clasped in front of him as he waited for me to speak. This man was as hard as nails, that was why I employed him, and I was about to test his mettle and his loyalty to their limits.
Hugo didnât flinch as he stood there, waiting to be told the reason why I had summoned him to my office. But I knew heâd be wondering if he was going to walk out of this room under his own steam or be carried out, in a body bag or otherwise.
I had a reputation as an unforgiving employer. It was one I cultivated. I expected total loyalty from my employees, and if I didnât get it, they were of no use to me.
âDo you have something youâd like to share with me?â
âI donât think so, Boss.â
âYou sure?â
âRegarding what, Sir?â he said as he looked directly at me.
He certainly had balls. I had to give him that. âRegarding my wife?â I snarled.
âNot that Iâm aware of.â
I licked my lip as I glared at him. Was he loyal to Alana, or just plain stupid?
âI suggest you think carefully about what you say next, Hugo, if you want to keep your job, and you want your head to remain attached to your shoulders. Where have you been taking my wife every day?â
âTo the OâMalley shelter downtown, Sir.â
âWhy?â
âBecause thatâs where she asked me to take her.â
âAnd you didnât think it pertinent to share that with me?â
âNo, Sir,â he replied.
âReally?â
âI thought youâd have asked me if you wanted to know where she was going, Sir. And if you had, I would have told you. But, I didnât think you wanted to be bothered by the detail of Mrs. Montoyaâs comings and goings.â
I frowned at him. I had to admit, Iâd never shown any outward interest in Alanaâs daily activities before now. But that was beside the point. âHow long has she been going there?â
âSince the day I started working for her.â
âAnd thatâs the only place you two go?â
âNo, Sir. Occasionally, she goes to the grocery store. And Iâve taken her to the beauty salon a couple of times too.â
I stood up and walked around the desk. âOn your knees,â I barked.
He looked at me, his jaw clenched shut, but he complied. I pulled my gun from its holster and held it to his temple, pressing the cold steel against his skin.
He still didnât flinch, but I saw the beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.
âDo you realize how lucky you are to still be breathing right now? When Amelia Grant told me that Alana hadnât been to any of her liquid lunches, and I knew that you and my wife had been disappearing for hours every day, you can imagine what I must have thought?â
I saw his Adamâs apple bob as he swallowed. âYes, Sir.â
âAre you fucking my wife, Cabrón?â I growled as I pressed the metal barrel harder against his skin.
âNo, Sir.â
âDo you want to?â
He licked his lips. âNo, Sir.â
âYou understand that if I had even an ounce of doubt about that, Iâd skin you alive and make her wear you as a coat, donât you?â
âYes, Sir.â
I studied him as he knelt there, his face full of anger and defiance, and very little fear. He had balls of steel and I admired that about him.
I took the gun from his head and walked back around to my side of the desk. âTake a seat,â I snapped and he stood up, brushing the creases from his trousers before sitting down.
âIâm not sure if Iâm impressed by your loyalty to her, or completely pissed. But, remember that you might protect my wife, but you still work for me. You got that?â
âYes, Sir.â
âIf you ever keep something like this from me again, I wonât think twice about putting a bullet in your head.â
âI wonât, Sir.â
âYouâre lucky she thinks so highly of you, or Iâd have you on clean up duties for the rest of your life.â
âI appreciate you not doing that, Boss,â he said and it was understood that this was dealt with and we wouldnât speak of it again.
âGood, now get out of here or sheâll be wondering where you are.â
Hugo nodded and then he walked out of my office.
