Chapter 427 I Am Serious âReally!â she said. But she was suspicious about it.
Judith knew that Frank was sophisticated. She was afraid that she would fall for it.
Frank added, âJudy, I am serious.â
Judith nodded and said, âThatâs true. You are indeed serious about your work. But I donât know about your life and relationship.â After all, Judith didnât know Frank that much. In fact, she felt that she knew little about Frank.
âJudy, I am very serious about my life and my job,â Frank said. It was true. He was trying hard to live every day.
âSo?â Judith asked as she looked at Frank. She didnât know why he brought it out.
She knew one thing about Frank for sure. It was that he wouldnât do things without getting something in return.
âMy point is that I miss her so much!â Frank said in his deep voice. It sounded so real.
Hearing this, Judith felt sorry.
âThen why donât you go to find her?â Judith asked without a second thought.
Frank pursed his lips bitterly. He looked in pain. He spent some time calming down, but he was so down.
âShe forgets me,â Frank said: Then he looked at Judith peacefully âShe forgets you?â Judith looked at Frank in surprise.
She was bewildered by the forgetting part.
Frank nodded, his eyes deep and dark. It was hard for him to admit that Judith had really forgotten him.
âThen where is she?â Judith asked curiously.
She was curious who this lucky girl was, who could win Frankâs heart.
Frank looked at her without speaking.
Judith regretted asking it when Frank remained silent again, But Judith didnât like it when someone didnât finish his story.
Frank thought that it was time to speak, so he said, âJudy, she is near to me. But she canât remember me no matter what I do. I really miss her!â Then he lowered his head sadly.
Frank found something weird, too. When he was with Patrick, Gary, and Edwin, he could never be so mushy. But when he was in front of Judith, he could tell her what he was thinking about without hesitation.
And he wouldnât feel any awkwardness.
It pained Judith to see Frank like that.
This was the second time she saw Frank in such pain.
âFrank, please donât. Maybe she will remember you one day,â Judith comforted him. But she was more curious about why the girl forgot Frank.
âI want her to remember me and come back to me,â Frank said sincerely.
Judith could sense that every time he mentioned that girl, Frank looked so soft and vulnerable. That was nothing like the usual cold Frank.
Judith didnât know how deep oneâs love should be to change a cold person into such a gentle one.
âJudy,â Frank called Judith.
âI am here,â Judith said as she looked at Frank.
âCan you be my girlfriend for two days? We can do things like couples usually do, like eating and shopping. It will help ease my pain imight feel better when I am alone in the middle of the night.â Frank looked at Judith with expectation.
Judith was stunned by his proposal.
Judith found it so ridiculous that she couldnât accept it.
Frank realized that they were arriving on the first floor. Then a flicker of light flashed in his eyes.
