"I-I dont understand" I managed to stutter out, Roger's hand was placed protectively on my thigh. As he stared coldly at Paul's slimy smirk
"Harmony what the hell do you think you are doing?" My dad said through gritted teeth, his face turning red. She smiled at him shrugging her shoulders
"I brought my man to lunch dad. Just as we discussed" she gestured at Paul who had an arm wrapped smugly around her waist.
"We just didn't realise you were bringing...him" he growled narrowing his eyes at her. She smiled back sweetly her eyes glinting maliciously. She shot me a look that was a mixture of triumph and amusement. Rogers hand was gripping on to my thigh, his fingers leaving white imprints. I could feel his anger radiating as he sat in silence out of respect for my parents. Paul cleared his throat and spoke
"If I may-"
"You may not" my dad muttered. Paul didn't seem to notice.
"I know Evelyn and I have had our differences in the past" he paused
"That is one way to put it" Roger growled, his hand gripping me tighter as I placed my arm over his forearm to get him to ease his grip, he dipped his eyes to me apologetically.
"I believe we should put it behind us and simply move on. Harmony and I are just perfect for each other" he wrapped his arm around her tighter and kissed her slimy on the lips. The sight made my stomach turn
"Please Birdie?" Harmony pleaded. I was in a mess of emotions, I had finally started to get over the incident with Paul and now he was back in my life. I didn't know what to do. Roger was fuming beside me, his grip on my thigh was so tight again now it nearly hurt.
"I-I don't know" I managed to push out
"Birdie!" Harmony whined. A smirk was still plastered on Paul's face. I dragged a deep breath though my chest. Closing my eyes and remembering what I had worked through with my therapist. I reopened my eyes and blinked twice before stating calmly
"Fine" with a tight smile on my lips
"Are you sure Evie?" My mum said her piercing eyes showing concern, her and my dad flickered concerned glances at each other.
"Yeah. It's fine" I smiled again, huddling closely into Roger, his grip finally loosening as I melted into him
"Then it's settled" Harmony said slinking in to her seat. Dragging Paul down to sit next to her. He threw me a smug glance that made my stomach churn, i quickly avoided looking anywhere near him.My father was sitting silently in the corner, his rage simmering as he stared Paul down. My mother tried to rectify the situation
"Evie, how is your fashion designing going? I heard you have a new line coming out" She said rather awkwardly, reaching over to grab a slice of baguette.
"Eh, yeah I do. I've got some good ideas that I hope people will like. Everyone seemed to love the costumes I designed for the boys tour, as they grow in popularity I seem to as well"
"I loved the jacket you made for Roger" My mum said smiling at my enthusiasm "The pink embroidered one"
"I have to disagree" Harmony's voice sounded "I think you were just lucky Roger is gorgeous enough to pull it off. It would have looked disgraceful otherwise" she said curtly. I rolled my eyes at her childish antics, not giving her the satisfaction of my anger.
"I personally loved it" Roger said simply squeezing my hand.
"Evie, want to help me in the kitchen?" my mum said, saving me from the table's tense atmosphere. I followed her quickly to the situation thanking her graciously. I tied my hair up, throwing on one of my mother's handmade quilted aprons.
"God, I forgot how much of an arse Paul is" We both laughed "stick with a boy like Roger, he loves you so very much Evie. Your father and I both adore him" She smiled squeezing my shoulder. I smiled at her, almost feeling the radiance beaming from me.

After a short while of preparing salads. I wistfully ended up wandering to my old room, it was a hippie paradise. Instruments placed throughout the room. Every inch of the room covered with some sort of colourful fabric. Crystals and unused incense were littered around the room haphazardly. I heard the old stairs creaking just outside the hall to my door
"Yeah mum, I'll be two minutes!" I yelled back, drinking in the safety and serenity of my childhood bedroom. The door slowly creaked open behind me and I felt a coldness sweep through the room. I turned to see the slimy manipulative face of Paul Young staring back at me. But this time I wasn't afraid or frightened of him. I was enraged, my body was on fire with the supressed anger I had. I could feel my fiery persona burning through my pupils and burning right in to him, it was finally time to stand up for myself.
"What the Fuck do you want Paul?" I hissed, surprised at how sinister I sounded.
"Oh all cocky now are you, even without your little guard dog?" He smirked, making me bunch my fists in rage "I want you Evie, I am better for you than he ever was and he ever will be"
"Well, I don't want you. In fact i don't want you anywhere near me" I said back coldly
"I don't care what the fuck you want Evie!" He yelled back "I get what I want, final!"
I could feel the rage building up in me, my fists were clenched as tight as possible. My nails close to piercing my skin. I looked up at him my eyes burning and simply repeated
"I do not want you" His face was turning red now as he began to yell again
"I don't care what you want. You are a stupid, ugly little slut that cant do any better than me anyway. So why don't you take the chance whilst you have it?!" he spat
"What the fuck did you just call me Paul?!" I screamed back my rage beginning to boil over the edge.
"I said you are a stupid, ugly, little fucking slut" he spat bringing his face close to mind so his repulsing breath fanned over my face.
The door burst open and Roger stood "What is going on?!" Before he could say any more I balled my hand in to a fist and pulled it back. Swinging mercilessly at Paul's face, my fist made impact with his jaw and a large crack echoed through the room. As Paul yelled out in pain, clutching his face. Roger ran over to me standing behind me defensively. I knew he was about to burst so I placed my hand on his chest to signal him to calm down.
"I think you better leave" I said coldly to Paul who was still clutching his face, blood spouting from his slightly crooked nose. I noticed Harmony standing at the door along with my two parents "You too Harmony" I turned and walked from the room and to wash the blood from my hands.

The following night we were all gathered at Roger's brand new apartment. It was a huge penthouse suite in central London. We were having a house warming as planned, however Roger had decided last minute to have a small pre-housewarming party with just the band and their girlfriends. Along with Vanity and Katy. It didn't seem to matter how long we were all apart everything just seemed to click right back in to place where it last left off. Roger was proudly telling the story of me punching Paul
"You should have seen her, some swing! She just unleashed on him and he just whimpered. The sound as she made contact with his jaw! It was Immense" He said, so excited at the prospect his girlfriend could punch
"Where did you even learn to punch like that Evie?" John asked, a little worry lacing his voice.
"No where in particular. I just don't need a guard dog!" I laughed along with everyone else.
"Hey Fred?" Brian asked "Where is Mary tonight? I've not seen her in a while?"
Freddie paused slightly before replying "W-We, uh, I-, eh. We- We broke eh broke up" The room was silenced with that statement. I had never seen Freddie stumble over his words he was always so articulate with his speech. He looked at the ground playing with one of the many rings on his fingers.
"I'm sorry Fred" I said patting him gently on his shoulder
"No darling, it was simply for the best. We both still love each other, we always will. Just we can't be together" his voice broke a little as he spoke. Tears threatening to fall from his eyes. I placed the drink in my hand down and hugged him tightly. Everyone else looked on with sympathy. The night was very mellow as it came to a close, everyone left after a short while. Leaving Roger and I snuggled up on a sofa. I gazed out the window into the soft dusk that highlighted the London skyline. Roger was stroking a soft pattern on the side of my thigh. I could feel his chest rising and falling with every breath he inhaled and exhaled. I stood up walking gently to the large balcony. The fresh air swept up in my hair and I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around me. A soft kiss was planted on my neck
"Hey Pretty Girl" Roger laughed from behind me
"Hey Pretty Boy" I smiled turning around to meet him "That's a shame about Mary and Fred, huh?"
"Yeah. I know how it feels to loose the one person you love more than anything" he said looking down at me, his hand moving gently to my hair and twirling the ends.
"me too" I replied.
"That's why I'm never gonna loose you again" he paused "I wanna show everyone how much you mean to me" I smiled at his kind words and he continued "I have an interview in a few days for top of the pops. I want to take you with me and show the world how much you mean to me. Will you come?"
Ahahah hey guys. IM BACK
