Chapter 12 : The Mishap

<>~<>~<>

'26th July, 2019'

"What is happening!" Mr Hwang stood up from his chair and looked around at the chaotic situation. Everyone else stood up from their seats as well in search of any answer. Receiving nothing but fear dripping from every waiter's and every person's face, Jungkook rushed out of the place.

Taehyung's brows furrowed in confusion and concern as he followed Jungkook as well. "Mr Kim! Mr Jeon! Where are you both going!" Mr Hwang kept shouting but received nothing as a reply.

As Taehyung almost caught Jungkook, he stopped him from taking the stairs to the floor below. "What are you doing?!" He asked as Jungkook freed himself from Taehyung's hold.

But Taehyung didn't let Jungkook go that way. He couldn't let him go alone. At least not now. "Leave me, Taehyung. They are here for me. I'm pretty sure."

Taehyung. That word was heard from Jungkook's gape after years. But Taehyung shook his head and followed his attention towards the second part. "Do you know them?" Jungkook nodded at his question. "They are the ones who got me into the accident."

Accident. Taehyung slowly started getting reminded of it. And as he finally got reminded of Aera's statement about Jungkook's accident in Manchester, his mouth fell agape. He gulped, looking at Jungkook with all the concern in his eyes.

"A-are you okay?" Taehyung asked, causing Jungkook's lips to curl in a small smile. He nodded slightly. "I'm okay and all fine. But the situation here doesn't seem to be right. Let me go."

"I'm also coming with you."

"Don't be stubborn, Taehyung. You can't–"

Taehyung immediately shut Jungkook with his intense stare into his eyes. Jungkook knew Taehyung was stubborn. So he didn't argue further. "Alright. Come with me but….please, be safe." Taehyung nodded before finally following Jungkook downstairs.

As they reached there, their steps immediately halted at the scene as they saw two people, probably guards, shot dead. Their bodies pooled in their own blood. Taehyung and Jungkook's eyes widened at the scene as they both immediately hid behind a pillar nearest to them.

Jungkook gestured Taehyung to stay quiet and not let out any kind of sound as they both heard footsteps proceeding towards the staircase. As the first person came into view with a gun in his hands, not noticing Jungkook and Taehyung's presence, Jungkook took advantage of his slight carelessness and bumped his leg on the person's crotch, causing him to stumble down on the floor.

Jungkook immediately took out the handkerchief from his pocket and wrapped it around the person's mouth in order to prevent him from muffling any noise. Then he struggled to take the gun away from the person's hand and attacked the person's head with the back grip of the gun, causing him to lie unconscious on the floor.

While Taehyung stood there, watching Jungkook doing all his stuff in the blink of an eye. Jungkook surely grew strong. No wonder he didn't joke about joining the gym years before.

Then Jungkook stood up and turned towards Taehyung. "Taehyung, call the police while I look around that no one is coming here." said Jungkook. Taehyung immediately nodded and took out his phone to dial the number but he found no networks there.

"There's no network here."

"Sh!t. We have to go to the reception, then."

They both rushed towards the lift but another person came their way, noticing their presence. As he ran towards both of them, Taehyung turned around and landed a fist of his on the person's nose, causing it to bleed. They didn't give a chance to the person to get up and quickly got inside the lift before pressing the button to the ground floor.

As they reached there, Jungkook rushed towards the reception. They found no one on the ground floor, indicating that everyone ran out, feeling the presence of mishap in the building. Jungkook immediately dialled the number of the police on the telephone but utter disappointment fell into his eyes, finding the wire of the telephone which was cut. Those people.
