"Tell me. Tell me, Kook, if one day you see me getting closer to someone in a sense of getting distanced from you, what would you do? If one day, you see me completely devoted to another person instead of you, what would you do? If one day, you see no ray of hope of a future with me, what would you do, Kook? What would you do?" Taehyung said, taking Jungkook completely by silence.
"Was your trust in our friendship really this weak, Tae?"
"It's not about trustâ¦..Jungkook. It's not about trust. It's about a string that keeps a particular friendshipâ¦or whateverâ¦.attached, in place. And that string is not strong enough."
Jungkook said with glassy eyes, "But I thought our friendship was strongâ¦."
"Only if it was about friendship." Taehyung couldn't help but say so.
"Taeâ¦."
"Will I be called greedy if I say that all I ever wanted in my life was you? Will I be called selfish if I wanted to be the only one in your life? Because even if I'm called so, I don't mind. I never wanted to let go of you. It's so selfish, but if wanting you is called selfish, I don't mind being called that at all." By that time, Taehyung's eyes were red because of the overwhelming feeling he had at that moment.
Then he continued, "I couldn't see you getting away from me. Neither did I want my feelings to take over me. Hence, I tried to get away from you. I thought that by going far away from you, I'd figure it out and get back to normal instead of feeling like sh!t every night I'd go to bed. And then I thought I finally started moving on. But guess what's the irony? I never moved on. I was just distracted. Distracted from you. And here we are. Back to square one."
They both sat like that for more moments as the wind that was blowing outside took its pace and blew to the room through the window, as both of their hair moved in silence, just the chattering of the birds outside chanting in the entire environment.
"Tae, I thinkâ¦.we should give it another chance."
"Jungkook, I fvcking love you. How long will it take for you to get that? It's not going to be easy that way!" As these words left Taehyung's gape, he realised what he had said and widened his eyes before the next moment, Jungkook pulled Taehyung towards himself and lashed his lips onto the latter's.
