Chapter 2 : Returning the wallet
<>~<>~<>
Looking at the house in front of him, Taehyung rechecked the house number from the address plate which was displaying on the wall of the entry gate. After confirming for the nth time, he stepped inside, hoping not to have come to some wrong place. Because he always used to fvck things up unwillingly. One of his clumsy habits.
Biting his lips, he got inside and his eyes widened at seeing the royalty of the house. It wasn't a pure royal palace kind of a house, but it gave a complete royal feeling, judging from the ancient and expensive things kept in the house which didn't fail to remind Taehyung of the modern-royal mixture of the families those days.
As he was just walking inside the house, a maid who was probably working there caught his attention. He immediately called out for the maid. "Hey!" The maid looked up at him, confused over how the man entered the place without any guards stopping him from entering.
The maid left her work and proceeded towards Taehyung's stunned figure. Once she reached him, she asked, "Who are you?"
"I'm Kim Taehyung. I wanted to return thisâ"
He was then cut off by a lady. "Suzy? Whom are you talking to? Who is this person?" The lady probably called the maid by her name, Suzy. The maid bowed down to the lady. "Ma'am, I was asking him the same question." The maid replied, strangling the lady confused.
"Yes, please explain who you are?" The lady turned towards Taehyung. She seemed to be in her early thirties, but looked quite young, though her age was predictable. "I'm Kim Taehyung. Nice to meet you. I found this wallet in the park this morning and it had the address of this house. So I wanted to return it. Is it yours?" Taehyung asked with concern lacing his voice, as if the wallet was something too precious to be careless for.
The lady took a look at the wallet and within just a minute, her eyes widened in realization as she realized that the wallet was her son's. "Oh God. Thank you so much, Mr Kim Taehyung. My son has been crying since morning itself regarding this wallet. I'm grateful that you returned it. Thank you very much. Please feel comfortable to be here in the house for a while." She genuinely thanked Taehyung before leaving the place after taking the wallet from Taehyung, which made him keep standing there until she would return.
Though one name kept running continuously in his mind which confused him to a good length. Uncle Jeon. It seemed as if he heard the name somewhere, as if he had heard it somewhere before. But he couldn't recognize where he had heard it. And why did the kid write where Uncle Jeon might be? Is he lost or something? The thoughts kept running through Taehyung's mind, until he broke off his trance when the same lady called out for him.
"Mr Kim? My son is asking you to meet him. Can you come?" She said, making Taehyung nod and flash a smile at the lady before following her to the boy's room. As they entered the room, Taehyung's face instantly brightened up seeing the childlike decoration of the room, which reminded him of his childhood.
He still remembered how his parents always tried keeping him like a prince. They never made him feel needy for something. He always had everything, literally everything that he needed. And some weren't even needed much. Yet he had them.
Just when Taehyung was busy remembering his old days, a boy, who seemed to be around six years old apparently, came and stood in front of him, looking straight into his eyes and locking them. Then he moved his hand forward in order to greet Taehyung.
"Hello. I'm Jung Yeonsan. You can call me Sannie. Nice to meet you, uncle." He smiled brightly, spreading the rays of positivity. Taehyung immediately smiled back at him and sat down on knees so as to come to his level to talk properly.
He, then, brought his hand forward to shake it with San's. "Hey, little one. I'm Taehyung. Nice to meet you too." He said, ruffling the kid's fluffy hair. "Thank you for returning the wallet! This is my favourite one!" The younger chirped in happiness with a wide open mouth and all teeth visible as he was grinning cheerfully.
It was surprising for Taehyung to hear such clear words from a six year old child as usually a child of San's age can't speak this clearly.
"You're welcome, kid." Taehyung flashed his boxy smile at San and clenched his fists to bring in front of San. The latter also clenched his fists before they both tapped lightly and bumped their fists as a sign of an informal greet and enjoyment. It made the little kid smile instantly.
"So are we friends?" San asked with glistening eyes, which were irresistible for Taehyung, making him nod with still a smile on. San giggled and clapped with his hands, jumping in happiness, while Taehyung kept cherishing the excited little figure.
"Let me ask mom to bring something for you to eat! Do you like pizza?" San asked in his high pitch voice as it was enough to portray it like a kid. Taehyung's smile widened at the mention of pizza. "Woah! Yes! Pizza would be the best." Taehyung said, making San run to his mother in the kitchen with excitement outlining his actions.
As San was out of the room now, Taehyung was all alone in the room. He took a look at all the paintings and photo frames hanging in the room, reminding him of several games that he used to play in his childhood as well. Somehow, the urge of playing all of 'em again rose in him.
Just when he was roaming around and looking at the pictures, he found a photo frame which just consisted of trophies and a few medals kept in a shelf. What was that photo doing there? And where was the one who won them?
Taehyung's mind started running again before he noticed a name written in the footer of the photo frame, awestrucking him completely.
Jeon Jungkook.
