She looked at others holding hands,
Groups making plans,
She saw the confetti in the air,
Signifying newlyweds,
Then she looked at herself,
Alone in bed,
She wondered where her person was,
If they even existed,
The one to complete her,
Little did she know,
She was complete,
She didn't need another to fill the holes,

Because happiness from others only lasts a short while,
Happiness from yourself can last a lifetime,
Loving yourself can make you see,
