Honestly i felt a little awkward at first sharing the same bed as him but i felt bad for him i noticed he was massaging his shoulder while working today and yesterday also he wasn't able to sleep properly on the couch

Not that I don't acknowledge him as my husband i do but it feels odd out of a sudden my best friend's brother turned out to be my husband on whom i used to crush on like my world depends on it

but the crush kind of vanished when he moved to U.S but still when i heard about him from krishiv or mom i felt happy? i guess but then saransh entered in my life and i fell in love with him

a lump formed in my throat but i closed my eyes

He is my husband a nice one actually but things are complicated i don't want to hurt him but i am not healed either

I drifted off to sleep pulling over the comforter and shutting off the outside world

Morning came in a haste sun rays approaching my face broke my sleep i got up and didn't find him on the bed

it was around 6 A.M he still wakes up this early?

a yawn left my mouth i rubbed my eyes and got out of the bed and went to take a shower

i wore a minimal saree as mom said that we have to visit a temple i paired it up with small diamond earrings and wore my nuptial chain and applied vermillion in my hairline, i applied minimal makeup on my face and got ready

[Her look]

i heard footsteps approaching the room i turned back and saw him

i guess he just came back after a heavy workout session

"good morning Mrs.Malhotra" he said while taking out his clothes

" morning, umm wear a kurta if possible"

"why is there any special occasion?" he asked raising an eyebrow

"nahi, matlab haan vo mandir jaana hai isliye pehn lijiye?" i said setting my hairs one last time

(No, i mean yes we have to go to the temple, wear it?)

" ji zarur " he said taking out a white kurta from his closet

(yes,sure)

He went in to take a shower and i heard a knock on the room's door ruhi and ishani were here

"oh my god bhabhi jaan" ruhi squealed her eyes shimmering in awe

"you look so pretty bhabhi" ishani said engulfing me in a hug

"Hayeee meri param sundari" krishiv said entering the room palming his right cheek looking in adoration

i chuckled and blushed and muttered out a 'thank you'

these people i tell you are absolute cuties

"bhai kidhar hain? behosh vehosh to nahi ho gye aapko dekh kar" ruhi said keeping her forearm on my shoulder

(where is brother-in-law, did he pass out seeing your charm?)

*throat clearing sound* we all turned in the direction of the sound

and i saw him looking dashingly handsome in a white kurta which fitted his well built body perfectly his hairs were messy

[His look]

"Bhai kurta? you wore a kurta?" ishani squealed

what's with these reactions? i might die in confusion i thought

"kyu nahi pehn sakta?" he said placing his hands in his pockets

(why? can't i wear it?)

"you don't wear it often no, i mean you don't like wearing it" ishani said

"did you wear it for bhabhi?" ruhi asked enthusiastically

he nodded his head while running a hand through his hairs , his lips curved up slightly in a sly smile

i was taken aback by that revealation i mean-

they all shared an eye contact and i was standing there dumbfounded

kya chalta hai bhai in logon ka?

(I don't understand them even a bit)

i mentally hit my head

" let's go downstairs or else mom will give her one hour lecture that we are late again " krishiv said

He passed krishiv a glare

"let's go let's go" krishiv said and we headed downstairs

"you look beautiful mera baccha" maa said patting my cheek lovingly and applying a dot of kajal from her eyes behind my ears

i smiled at her

" badi maa bhai wore a kurta" ishani said grinning

mom smiled looking at both of us

"chalo pareshan mat karo mere bacche ko" mom said kissing his forehead

(don't tease my son)

he smiled like genuinely smiled

"Agar sabka milan ho gya ho toh jaane bhi do unhe" dadu said

(if everyone's done meeting let them go)

mom nodded and we soon bid our bye and left for the temple

VEDANT

She looked heavenly gorgeous today just like an angel i wonder how she manages to look this beautiful everyday?

I don't like wearing kurtas but for her i would even wear the most uncomfortable outfit ever made

the drive to the temple was silent i took glances at her in between she was looking outside the car's window almost all the time

soon we reached the krishna temple i stopped the car and walked over to the other side and opened her side's door she came out and we were standing just mere inches away

my heart skipped a beat but i quickly moved away ensuring not to make her uncomfortable

"i will just come back" i said and went to park the car

i came back and we went inside the temple we offered our prayers to the deity

she was standing beside me her eyes closed and hands joined together her head covered with the veil of her saree

i closed my eyes and joined my hands

'she's all i ever asked from you bhagwan ji, i know she doesn't love me but, in future if she finds herself in the position to fall in love again please make her fall in love with me i am her husband but i want her to be my wife in real meaning not just in mere words'

'please make her mine, i promise i will not ask anything from you again i just want her, i need her to be mine '

"1 kg ladoo chadaunga promise" i muttered under my breath

(i will offer you 1 kg ladoo(a type of sweet))

"kuch kaha aapne?" she asked looking at me

(did you say anything?)

"kuch suna aapne?" i asked

(did you hear anything?)

she shook her head in a no

"chalein?" she asked

(let's go?)

i nodded and we went outside the temple

"didi" i heard a kid saying to her while holding her saree's pallu she turned to face her

"betuu aap" she said smiling widely cupping the kids cheek in her hands

this is the first time i saw her smiling this widely in these days

my lips automatically curved up into a smile
