I felt someone grabbing the corner of my saree when I turned back i saw ayushi grinning
"didi" she said excitedly
"betu aap" i said smiling at her and taking her in my embrace as i bent down to her level
"How's mumma?" i asked while caressing her cheeks
"she's good even better and you know i got the highest marks in my whole class that's why i came here to thank Bhagwan ji " she said
"So proud of you baby" i said kissing her cheeks
"you want a treat?"
"Yes i would love it how about our favourite ice-cream?" she asked licking her lips
i chuckled and nodded taking her little hands in mine
" Umm..Mr.Malhotra can you.." i was cut off by him
"stay here i will be back" he said and left from there towards the ice-cream vendor
Ayushi poked my forearm pouting
"who is he? and krish didn't come?" she asked as she took me towards the stairs of the temple to sit down
"No krish didn't come he had to be somewhere" i said sitting beside her
Ayushi is a sweet 9 year old child i met her when krishiv and i came here for the first time after I started my company and then i met her she lives here closeby
Her mother had some health issues and i couldn't see her like this so i did what i could do at that time they are the sweetest humans i have ever met
"Didi you didn't tell who was he?" she asked
"oh..that was Mr.Malhotra"
she looked at me being confused
"Krish's brother and now my husband" i said smiling
"You got married oh yes i didn't even realise it you look more gorgeous after being married" she said with a wide smile
"But wasn't it supposed to be someone else who was he..that chachundar insaan" she said innocently while in a thinking pose
i shook my head with a sly smile ayushi didn't liked saransh that much
i heard someone chuckling but when i looked in the direction there was Mr.Malhotra standing with a straight face with two cups of ice-cream
He came towards us and handed our ice-creams smiling at us
"thank you jiju" she said grinning
(thank you brother-in-law)
he smiled at her and patted her cheeks
"umm..if you can wait for a while i want to spend sometime with her" i asked to him
he nodded his head and went towards our car getting busy on his phone as he leaned his back on the car's door while his one hand was in his pocket he looked..
my attention was back to ayushi who was saying something
"He's so handsome isn't he?" she asked looking at him
i nodded subconsciously smiling
"Did you tell him our favourite ice-cream flavour?" she asked taking a bite of her ice-cream and i realised
i didn't...how did he know? does he still remember? i looked at him he was talking with someone on his phone he was frustrated?
"ayushi we will meet again some other time okay baby take care" i said kissing her forehead and getting up
"bye didi" she muttered finishing her ice-cream
i walked towards him waiting for his call to end he looked at me and ended the call quickly
"Did something happen?" i asked getting rid of dust on my saree
"Nothing serious" he said opening the car's door for me
i smiled and sat inside and soon he sat beside me on the driver's seat
"Are you fine?" he asked as we were midway through our ride
"i guess i am" i said turning my attention towards him, his focus was on the road ahead
"Do you.." i cut him off mid sentence
"let's not talk about it for now?"
he nodded sensing that I don't want to do that conversation right now
"I...umm.. i am going on a business trip to udaipur" he said looking at me
i looked at him.. wasn't he supposed to take off for few days?
"i know i should have denied it...but it's important or else i wouldn't want to leave" he said in a apologetic tone
i looked at my saree's border tracing my fingers at it
"it's okay i understand work is important" i said nodding
"you are important too.." he said in a soft voice
"it's fine Mr.Malhotra krish,ruhi and all are there" i said assuringly
"and if dadi says something then you will tell me right there" he said looking at me
i nodded..
"if anything happens tell me first okay?" he said softly
"okay ji" i said leaning back on the seat watching outside the car's window

soon they reached home, he opened the car's door for her and she stepped out he was walking behind her with his hands in his pocket
as they reached inside krish barged towards them
"why did it took you so long..are you fine did something happen?" he asked holding on to her shoulders with concern but backed off immediately when vedant passed a glare
"bhai vo main to bas... hehe" he said smiling with a hint of fear in his eyes
(i was just.. nevermind)
she looked at vedant and his facial expressions turned soft immediately
" She was just spending some time with ayushi now if you are done interrogating my wife let us go inside" he said with a annoyed expression
"what the- he met ayushi and you didn't even tell me? " krishiv said to her with a betrayed face
"bolne dega tab bataungi na bhai..and let me relax first, will you?" she said with a tired expression
(if you let me speak then i will tell you no?)
vedant passed a glare to him
finally krishiv nodded and let them inside the house finally
the house was silent most probably everyone was taking an afternoon nap
vedant went to his room..while mihika grabbed a bottle of water from the kitchen and gulped it down
krishiv followed her all the way to the kitchen
"Ab bata bhi do" krishiv said
(now, tell me already)
she huffed in annoyance
"panchayati insaan" she said shooking her head and pouring a glass of water
"She was just passing by when we were leaving from there..then we chatted for a while and i introduced him to her and we gave her an ice-cream treat too" mihika said moving out of the kitchen with the glass of water
"mujhe to ice-cream treat di nahi aaj tak bina mange" krishiv said in a complaining tone
(you didn't gave me a treat without me asking)
"Ab chup kar jao tum" mihika said giving him a glare and moving upstairs towards the room
(stay quiet now please)
krishiv stood at his place scrunching up his nose and shooking his head
"Gande log" he muttered under his breath
