As mihika slept soundly in his arms a feeling of relief took over him he placed a soft kiss on her forehead
today's kiss playing on repeat in the back of his mind making him blush sub consciously as he fell asleep

The next few days passed smoothly as they returned back to malhotra mansion
"what are you up to this early in the morning?" she said as she opened her eyes and saw him staring at her
"Nothing much just admiring my wife" he said placing a soft kiss on her forehead
she smiled and wrapped her arm around him snuggling into him
"getting cuddled up are we?" he said smiling running his fingers through her hairs
"I have to go to dad's office today" she mumbled in her sleepy voice
"so you are joining back?" he asked while looking at her
"uhmhmm" she hummed
"i will drop you at the office then" he said placing her hairs behind her ears to get a better look at her face
"it's literally the opposite way from yours" she said looking at him
"so?" he asked raising an eyebrow
"why would you do that?" she asked looking at him frowning
"because i want to biwi" he said kissing her cheek lightly making her chuckle as her cheeks turned red
"you are too umm..cute sometimes" she said shyly kissing his nose and smiling at him making his ears go red and his heartbeat fasten
"umm..i.i will go get ready" he said getting up and disappearing into the bathroom
soon they descended downstairs bidding bye to everyone as they left for the office in his aston martin
as they settled themselves in his car her being his passenger princess
"are we waiting for someone?" she asked as he didn't start to drive
"no just wait a second" he said as he leaned towards her making her heart flutter with his proximity he tilted his face towards her looking into her eyes as they captivated him making her cheeks flush and breath hitched
"aapke irade aaj kuch thik ni lag rhe" she said biting her lower lip
gaining his composure a little he got out of his daze realising what he was about to do
"what? i am just fixing the seatbelt biwi" he said playing all innocent as he made her wear the seatbelt and getting back at his place he looked at her with a sly smirk
she raised an eyebrow looking at him with a questioning gaze
"vaise aap jo soch ri thi vo bhi kiya ja sakta hai" he said teasing her a little more

she looked away feeling embarassed her cheeks turning pink he smiled looking at her flushed face and decided to not tease her anymore
soon they reached the pearl (mathur's company) he got out of the car opening the door for her she passed a smile
"i'll come to pick you up in the evening" he said kissing her forehead
"just send the driver na" she said looking at him
"seems like you don't want your husband to spend time with you" he said in a deep voice grazing her jawline with his fingers
"it's nothing like that you will be tired too and then driving here will be exhausting no" she said feeling a bit flustered by his touch
"if it means i can be with you then i would drive like this every day jaan" he said softly
"as you wish husband" she said giving him a full blown smile
her heart was full with his sweet gestures she never let her be dependent on anyone but he makes her feel that she can rely on someone he's making her walls crumble down one by one

the employees there were happy to see her back and were quite surprised seeing her walking with a smile for the first time ever since she joined
"welcome back princess" her father said taking her in his embrace
"it's good to be back" she said smiling
"how's everything going?" she asked walking alongside her father to her cabin
"we have a huge project to work on that's why i texted you to join" he said sitting at the couch in her cabin
she preferred a homely yet professional vibe while she worked her office had a beautiful contrast vibe of professionalism and comfort
soon she got worked up as she catched up the reports of the weeks she has been missing

she was in her cabin with her assistant mohak as she worked on their project
him being a jolly, trustworthy and understanding person had a good bond with her she liked to call him as her brother yet they stayed professional while at office
she was talking with mohak with enthusiasm as they discussed the project
mohak was a decent looking guy with a mid physique yet his sharp features and blue eyes made him look charming and captivating
it was past evening and they were still indulged in their work
"want to have a cup of coffee?" mohak asked seeing her completely exhausted
"yes please" she said sighing and rubbing her forehead
in no time mohak brought her coffee she smiled at him muttering a 'thank you'
mohak was standing beside her as she explained about the slides from the screen sipping on his coffee
here vedant was outside her cabin
He could see from the view of the cabin that she was talking about work stuff with somebody his attention was all on her
he felt a pang of jealousy when he saw her laughing with somebody that's not him who seemed to be far more comfortable than usual with her
she was laughing at him as she hit his forearm playfully making his heart race with each beat although he loved seeing her smile but still he couldn't surpass the feeling of jealousy he felt as he saw him looking at his wife smiling
he cleared his throat gaining her attention as he entered she looked at him
"you are here" she said giving him a full blown smile
"yes,are you busy should i wait?" he said calmly but looking sharply at mohak he would have been 5 feet in the ground if looks could kill
"oh no we can leave mohak can handle the rest" she said turning towards mohak
"sure, it will be done" mohak said smiling at her she smiled back
"bye take care" she muttered before picking up her bag and moving towards vedant
"chalein?" she asked
"ji jaan" he said taking the bag from her hands he was still jealous but he tried to surpass the feeling seeing her calm face
she wasn't used to him calling her that above that he held her hand with the other as they walked outside he took a glance back at mohak who was still smiling seeing them she was finding his sudden gesture cute without knowing he was burning in jealousy
as they sat in the car he drove off silently mihika found it strange that he hadn't uttered any word till now
"are you fine?" she asked looking at him
"was he funny?" he asked looking at her
"who?" she asked being confused
"your assistant i saw how he made you laugh" he said clenching then unclenching his jaw
she tried to suppress her smile she knew he was jealous she decided to tease him a little
"are you jealous?" she said looking at him innocently
"there's nothing like that" he said looking away from her
he wanted to be the one who makes her smile, makes her laugh like that, he wanted to be the only one who could spoil her, he wanted to be the only she would look up to
"i see, yeah he is funny" she said casually
"do you like him?" he asked looking at her
"yeah" she said making him hit the brakes
"what did you say?" he asked looking at her raising an eyebrow
"i mean yeah he is one of the best employees of ours" she muttered trying to not laugh but she failed looking at his face
"what's funny?" he asked looking at her being annoyed
"you look cute when you are jealous patidev" she said chuckling
"yeah so? why was he even smiling looking at you" he said his grip on the steering getting tighter
she chuckled removing her seatbelt leaning closer as she pecked his cheeks herself for the very first time making him freeze at his position
"he is like my brother you don't need to worry nobody can take your wife's attention that way nobody's stealing me away from you" she said the last words jokingly
she couldn't escape him after kissing him like that while she looked so temptingly beautiful
he looked at her for a few seconds before he picked her up and made her sit on his lap making her gasp
"what are you-" she couldn't complete her words as he pecked her lips his hand snaking around her waist holding her tightly
"you don't know what i could do to you biwi" he whispered near her ear making her heart thud against her chest and her cheeks crimson red
"for what?" she asked innocently looking at him
"for kissing me like that" he said grazing her cheeks with his fingers
she realised what she did back there she hid her face in the crook of his neck as she blushed
he chuckled caressing her hairs
"getting shy are we now?" he said teasing her
"stop teasing me and put me down" she said as she hit him lightly on his chest
"okay my lady" he said kissing her cheeks before he settled her on the seat again making her face flushed
"And also i wouldn't let anybody take you away from me jaan" he said kissing her hand as he finally drove off to their home
