MIHIKA
I heard someone's shriek it was none other than dadi
"Mihika what is this?" dadi asked while referring to the kheer in her bowl
"Kheer hai aur kya dikhta nahi?" krishiv said while licking the spoon dipped in kheer in return he got a glare from his mother
i suppressed a laugh looking at dadi's face when he said that
"Bado se baat karne ki tameez he nahi hai" she spoke out with a hint of disgust in her voice
(Don't have any manners of how to speak to any elderly person)
"And Mihika don't you know your husband's choice" she said staring right through my soul in a high tone
"What do you mean?" i asked in a low voice
"Ved doesn't like kheer" she said glaring at me with a high pitch and then looking at him
i gulped fearing that i may have upset him
Her eyes widened as she looked in his direction as i followed the direction she was looking in
I was taken aback with surprise
He was eating the kheer with so much interest, he seemed to be enjoying it with his eyes closed in satisfaction
He opened his eyes and looked at me
and passed a heart-warming smile
i kept looking at him in adoration his antics looked so cute that i couldn't help but admire him
"It was one of the best kheer i ever had till date" he said in a soft tone looking at me and then looking in the direction where dadi was seated
He basically shot a dagger with his eyes at her
"No one is allowed to talk to My wife in that tone" He said getting up anger evident in his voice
My wife him calling me that made my heart flutter a little bit
As i watch him heading upstairs i think his mood turned gloomy by these happenings around him
i looked at mom and then at krishiv
they nodded their head slightly and i took it as a permission and went behind him to our room
VEDANT
I don't know what got into me but someone raising their voice at her made me angry i don't usually behave this way
but no one raises their voice at my wife
as i barged into our room i ran my hand through my hairs
i heard the sound of anklets approaching the room and i guess it was her the mere thought of her calmed down my heated mind
as i turned i saw her coming inside our room she looked at me with such innocence in her eyes, her eyes looked mesmerizing
" I-I hope you didn't had the kheer just for my sake?" she said in a guilty tone
"Of course not Mrs.Malhotra i had it because i wanted to" i replied smiling
she thought about me? a stupid smile covered my face thinking about it
"You liked it?" she asked with such an innocent voice and her eyes shining like a kid
i couldn't help but fall for her more every passing second
"I definitely loved it i want to have more of it often" i said taking out the gift i bought for her first rasoi from my pocket
Her cheeks turned pinkish,she blushed?
"I got something for you" i said signaling through my hand for her to sit down
she sat down and looked at me
i bent down on my knees and kept the box on the bed and opened it
"You got me anklets" she said with pure excitement and happiness in her voice her face lit up like a happy kid and she smiled
Finally
That's how i liked my mihika happy and excited
"Yes, May i ?" i asked for her permission
"please" i added
"I- okay" she said looking down while her lips curled up a little
i kept her leg on my thigh and removed the anklet she was wearing and replaced it with the new one and then repeated the same with another one
She kept looking at me and i couldn't help but feel nervous a little
I looked at her and she tapped the place beside her asking me to sit beside her
All these years i have craved to be with her and it's finally happening
i sat beside her ensuring to not make her uncomfortable
"Thank you,these are beautiful" she said glancing at me and then moving away her gaze to the anklets again
she moved her legs a little bit making the jingling sound of the anklets and she smiled
Oh how her smile takes my heart away every single time:)
The realisation hit me that she hadn't eaten anything since morning
"Have you eaten anything" i asked looking at her with concern
she moved her head a little in a no
"and why is that?" i asked softly
"Actually- I was nervous all the time when everyone was eating so i didn't felt like eating and then i came here" she blurted out
"No problem come let's feed you" i said while getting up to move downstairs
"No, i mean i will have it in sometime on my own you don't have to worry" she said
"Oh is it? we can do one thing you stay up here i will bring your food here and i am not taking a no" i said leaving no space for her to deny
she opened her mouth to say something but closed it immediately
i went downstairs everyone was done with the breakfast and now all were in their rooms i guess
i moved to the kitchen and served the food carefully i turned back
"Ohooo" krishiv said making me startled by his presence
I gave him a 'what do you want' look
"My wife haan i see progress" he said in a teasing tone
i couldn't help and my lips curled up a little bit
"shut up! now move aside she is hungry" i said while passing beside him giving him a fake smile
"Haan haan bhai ko toh bhuloge he ab" he said making a sad face
( now you will forget your brother)
Dramatic ass!
"what do you want me to do then?" i said raising an eyebrow at him
"Nothing, i was kidding go she is hungry" he said while mimicking the last words as i said them
i smiled at him mentally and went to the room and saw her sitting tapping her fingers on the bed as if thinking something
i cleared my throat and she looked up at me
i placed the plate before her and sat on the bed beside her
"have it" i said forwarding the plate
"i will have it you can leave if you want to" she said with a smile
"So that you can avoid eating properly?No, not doing that" i said taking out my phone and laptop from the drawer of the side table
she looked at me as if she didn't expect this answer
"Eat Mrs.Malhotra" i said and continued working on my laptop
i took glances in between she ate like a kid she definitely needed to eat as now i can see her face lit up a little
she finished the food and then i solely focused on my work
