Chapter 5: Chapter 5~Just The Way You Are

Arabella’s POV~

I am fuming. I went to my room to meditate with my mom. I absolutely dislike getting so upset with anyone..but I can’t handle a bully. I was bullied every day. I allowed it to make me stronger..but Callista isn’t me and I will be damned before I let her be bullied!

Mom links me..and says calm,my daughter. You will do what needs doing when it needs to be done. I whispered I’m trying not to hate her, Mom. And I’m worried when I beat her ass..and I will…that I am doing it for the wrong reason. Mom says Sweetheart, there is no wrong reason with a bully.

I sobbed and whimpered she called him Baby, Mom. And my mom’s arms were around me, holding me to her. She rocked me back and forth and said that girl is his past! Already, he can’t get you out of his head. She kissed my forehead and then she was gone. She can’t stay here anymore because Zeus was angry she walked among us for so long and fell for the Alpha..having me..He forced her back to her realm and locked her in. She can only pop in now.

I climbed out of the shower and dressed..slipping on a light blue sweater dress and navy tights with cute ankle boots. With a feeling of dread, I opened the door to the dining hall and found my seat next to Callista,

She is so unassuming and sweet. Why anyone would be mean to her is beyond me! I smell fresh cut grass and mint.. and damn it..it has me clenching my thighs! I release my scent just enough to tease, and I see him scent the air and pull it back. He looks so confused I giggle.

We laughed and talked all through dinner, Brittney kept her distance from her but I caught her glaring at me and I would just smile sweetly. I got up to walk mine and Callista’s dishes to the kitchen and Sebastian said my name “Arabella”

When I walked out, Brayden came over and said “Have you been watching Bas? I think the bond is getting to him” I said “it’s starting to..I release my scent when he walks into a room. And little touches. He’s feeling it..just doesn’t know what IT is.” And we laugh as we walk to the music room.

Girls were singing and playing guitar. All trying to impress Sebastian! I knew I would do my best to impress him when it was my turn. But it was fun. I looked around for Callista and I could hear her whimpering outside the doors. I listened a second longer when I heard her say no no I’ll stop and I jumped for the doors!

Brittney had Callista pinned to the wall at her throat with her forearm and I never stopped moving.. grabbing her by the hair of her head and dragged her ass out the back door. I spoke to her the whole way… “I warned you! I told you..you had one shot left! But did YOU listen? Nooooo. You didn’t listen! You think because you are strong enough to run your cocksucker you’re strong enough to fight me??Well let’s see, Bimbo!” And I threw her on the ground. Crouching down in warrior stance. She charged me and I stepped back and to the left and popped her with a right hook..right in her mouth. She hit the ground and I walked back inside saying “I told her she’d be chewing food out her ass!” And the guys started laughing.

I walked to Callista and wrapped her up in my arms and said “come on! It’s our turn to sing”. She said “You’re gonna get in trouble for that, you know? I’m worried. Please don’t leave me here alone. You are the only person who ever stood up for me”. I told her not to worry..I wasn’t leaving her and when I was Queen, she could stay forever! And we laughed…and laughed. Then I remembered I could link Sebastian! I asked him “Am I in trouble?” And he answered…as far as I could tell…she was the protagonist and you defended someone against a bully. Essentially, you’re a hero. So No. You aren’t in trouble….but I must say…that was some funny shit!” And I giggled..

I turned to Callista that it’s all good. I’m not in trouble. The King decided Brittney was the instigator. She said “what? How do you know that?” I said he linked me and we talked about it. She said “he links you? He doesn’t link any of us” I just shrugged. I don’t know why… I secretly know. Just he doesn’t. I smiled at her and said you know Just the way you are by Bruno Mars? She said yesss…why? I told her because that’s what we’re singing! I sat down at the piano played the intro and began to sing.

I sang the first stanza then backed off so Callista could shine. And shine she did! I heard Sebastian say “you are just a truly genuine person, aren’t you?” And I just looked at him for a long moment and finished the last line with Callista
