I’m enjoying the music…nursing a whiskey and I see Arabella grabbing Brittney by her hair and dragging her outside. I heard everything she said to her and I’m failing to keep a straight face. And when it was over her saying she told her she’d be chewing out her ass..I was done for…

Kaiden and Brayden we’re holding each other up just laughing…Good times. Then she linked me asking if she was in trouble in such a cute voice that even if she was I would’ve lied! What? What is going on? My mind seems to be centering around Arabella and that’s not making me happy.. I don’t like being confused..

I see her walk in the room and walk to the piano and I suddenly feel like I can breathe again! What the fuck is this? We announced the girls who were going home…including Brittney so there’s 17 left. The girls all said good night and I had the guys come to my office. I said “I don’t know what’s happening to me… I can’t get Arabella out of my mind. Eros will only talk to me when he’s around her. I have a mindlink with her that allows me to hear her thoughts for Goddess sake! What is wrong with me???”

Kaiden says “hear me out. What if she is your mate? Your True Mate…what if everything we were told is true.. and we do still have true mates?” I said “I don’t remember a lot. A mate that fits you in every way seems like fantasy. And I don’t remember the signs..” Brayden says we have a book in the library.. but I remember scent is a sign” Scent? Like jasmine and vanilla? Brayden, go grab that book Kaiden run to the kitchen and get the coffee I just asked for”

. Kaiden says “what are you gonna do?” I’m pouring me a whiskey and getting over my confusion.

We have been reading for two hours..each of us reading it separate so we can bounce our interpretations off each other. Kaiden says “It says first sign is scent. And you have smelled that scent off and on since Bella got here. What if she knows she’s your mate but is hiding her scent for some reason?” That wouldn’t make sense though…the book said it’s our instinct to be with each other…he said “it would if she knows how you feel about mates…and she does know..you showed her her first night here by fucking Candace all night long “

Fuck! I would hide my scent to. So okay. We have decided scent isn’t helping. How else can we tell? Brayden said “touch. It says once you touch the bond gets stronger..and sparks where your skin meets.” I haven’t felt sparks..tingles…not sparks..and as far as touch goes..”she laid her hand on my arm after dinner and I damned near came in my jeans! In my fucking jeans! How’s that for a touch?”

And they busted out laughing..Like this isn’t my life we’re talking about here. I meet the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen in my life and she got me over here ejaculating in my jeans like I’m 14! I look up and say what?! They laughed even harder and said “you said that out loud”

After we calmed down a little bit Brayden says “ maybe she hides them. The sparks. Maybe she hides them like she hides her scent “ That actually makes sense. What if she’s my mate?

Kaiden said “don’t reject her. Get to know her” I said… “I’m not going to reject her. I want her. I’m halfway to loving her already. I said I didn’t want to take a mate..not that I didn’t want one. I just stopped believing in the whole mate deal a long time ago.

Brayden said “What if it’s true? What if we remembered what it is supposed to be like and start fixing this mess our dad’s started! What if she’s your mate? Will we all get mates? Will I have one?”

A flash of light through the window and there stood Mother Selene. She pointed at me and said “You accept Bella as your True Mate?” I said I do.

Then, she shocked me and said “You have some apologizing to do even though it’s your past, She watched it happen, too..Only with a broken heart..she had it rough but she loves you. And because of her, and her love for you..are you still standing!” I said “I don’t understand. I just met her last night.. she watched me?”

Selena says “Not my story to tell. She will tell you when she realizes you are accepting her. My daughter is honest to a fault. She says what she means..and she certainly means what she says…now. You have trouble coming. It isn’t a little trouble. It is a lot of trouble. Two Alphas are in collusion to take you down. They are rounding up rogues and hiring mercenaries. They want you dead…but abdication wouldn’t work… they will kill you anyway. Don’t ask me who or where or when. That’s as much as I can tell you. And I can’t interfere. I have to get back or Zeus will zap me”

And just like that, she was gone! I am amazed! Then I laugh…I roar with it! Kaiden said “Dude…what’s wrong? Are you okay?” I said “as okay as I can be. My mother-in-law is the fucking Moon Goddess and she hates me! Family dinner should be a blast!” And they fall off their chairs laughing.

We were running through Alphas who may be disgruntled or gone rogue. Trying to figure out who the two might be. It’s frustrating. There are 220 Alphas I rule over. It could be anybody. Kaiden said “I’m working on a algorithm to perform a few filters with specific keywords and it will deplete the amount exponentially. But it will probably take me all night.”

I said “can it run in the background while you sleep.”I asked him. He said yeah. I couldn’t sleep. Every thought was Arabella…I want to smell her so bad. I hold her while she sleeps. Be there when she wakes up.. She has to be my mate. Right? She’s my mate. Yeah. She’s something…there’s just something about Bella!
