Xi Yun thought she looked down on him and lowered his head quietly. True, he was making money off of his own classmates. He hated himself too. If he was her, he would find himself repulsive too.
But he had no choice. His dad didnât care about him and wouldnât even give him money for food. He would starve to death if he didnât make money himself.
Just a few more days. He would have a decent lump sum of money coming in in a few days and he wouldnât need to do homework for his classmates for money anymore.
But he still hated himself....
The little boy sat on the couch and brooded in self-disdain.
Su Tian picked up one of the homework assignment notebook and opened it up. It was completely blank other than the name.
âHand me a pen, Iâll do some for you.â
Xi Yun looked up abruptly. His eyes widened into two big spheres and couldnât believe his own ears.
Su Tian teased him, âWhat? Are you worried that I will ask you for money? Donât worry, I will do it for free.â
Xi Yunâs entire face started to burn from her tease.
The two had been writing for a while when the food was ready. He Qingwan covered the entire table with food and Xi Yun started to drool.
It was delicious! He had never had spareribs that tasted so good in his entire life.
As much as he wanted to contain himself, he was just a child around 10 years old. He couldnât help but wolfed down the food ravenously. He Qingwan couldnât help but smile when she saw that.
There were no better praising for a cook than the appreciation for her food.
Su Tian didnât eat too much of it. He Qingwan sat next to her and asked about her first day of school.
Su Tian told her all was well, and that she promised sheâd bring cheesecakes to school for her classmates the next day.
He Qingwan, âOh, I just made a few today. They are in the fridge, why donât you bring them with you tomorrow.â
Su Tian liked cheesecake, so He Qingwan would make them occasionally and have them around the house.
Su Tian snuggled up to her happily.
Xi Yun was envious of their relationship.
If his mother was around, sheâd spoil him like that too, right?
No, his mother had already abandoned him; of course she wouldnât be nice to him like that.
He was an abandoned child.
Thinking about that, Xi Yunâs eyes reddened. But he was a grown boy, it was too embarrassing to cry in front of others. He buried his face in the bowl and try to cover up his teary eyes.
He thought he did a good job covering up and didnât realize that both Su Tian and He Qingwan had already noticed. They just pretended that they didnât to protect his fragile dignity.
That night, Xi Yun slept over at Su Tianâs place and Xi Zhiqiang never came back from the night.
It wasnât till the next morning, when Su Tian left her house for school with the cheesecakes in hand when she saw Xi Zhiqiang returning drunk and with a scantily dressed woman in toll.
Su Tian was going to tell them that Xi Yun was over at her place, but decided to keep her mouth shut as she watched on. Why sent him home to the X-rated show that was about to take place?
She turned and headed down the stairs as she heard the woman asked for a diamond ring in the whiniest voice imaginable.
Su Tian suddenly recalled that the information on Xi Yun given to her by the system said he earned his first large sum of money when he was 12; and consequently leading to Xi Zhiqiang breaking his leg over it.
