14.
I'm feeling very alone
I'm feeling so alone that
I'm not even sure if any positivity
that escapes their mouths
are true anymore.
I feel so guilty about it.
how could I be so selfish
to shut all that out?
but at the same time
I can't decipher
if it's me or them anymore -
and it's frightening.
frightening to the point where
living is starting to be painful
without specific reason
and it kills me more
everyday.
the sadness is consuming
everything else I could possibly feel
and everything I could possibly
need or want
with all my might.
I am weakening
and unable
to fight.

I wrote this poem a month and six days ago, and it brings me to tears that since this, I have only become the opposite. I have grown in strength, grown in faith, felt less alone and strayed from hateful habits and I am slowly climbing out of my depression. I am fighting, and I am winning with small victories here and there in a journey of self-acceptance. this shows how much can happen in the span of a month, and I'm not ashamed to say I'm somewhat proud of myself. and I'm really, really happy I've come so far, and still going further.
believe in yourself, lovelies. you've got this. it does get better â¡ I love you. and I know you can do it.
xoxo, megs
