Chapter 683 She 3 Karl appeared at the Beauvort Manor early in the morning the next day.
Frederic and Wrenn were surprised to see him.
âKarl, whatâs wrong? Why are you here?â
He greeted them respectfully and said, âThere is something that I would like to talk to you about.â
The three of them went to the living room. âWhat do you want to talk about?â
Karl didnât beat around the bush.
âDad, I came here for Jean. It was an ugly mess at the family assembly yesterday. Everyone is uncomfortable in their hearts. Iâm afraid that there will be more people who will be against Jean if he disposes of those with wrongdoings at once.â
âThey were wrong to do that. Jean gave them chances before but they wanted more and more. It was not wrong for Jean to do that.â
Karl nodded. âIâm afraid that they will harm him privately. Dad, Iâm worried about him. Thatâs why Iâm here to warn you.â
âYou came here just to say this?â
Karl shook his head.
âThose people who backstabbed Jean deserved it but the culprit who triggered all this is Neera. Jean was targeted by the whole family because of her. If this continues, Neera will become Jeanâs weakness sooner or laterâ¦â
Wrenn was particularly concerned when it came to Neera.
The crowd attacked Jean because of Neera and her kids yesterday. Itâs intolerable! If Jean hadnât prepared something in advance, Iâm afraid that Jean was replaced by someone already!
Frederic and Wrenn had the same stance. After yesterdayâs close call, he was dissatisfied with Neera.
Karl observed their expressions and threw the bait at the right time.
âIâve recently met a doctor who can cure Jeanâs condition, and coincidentally, that person is Neeraâs teacherâs daughter. Sheâs a little younger than Neera, but sheâs on par with Neera. Iâve heard quite a bit about Neera from her.â
âWhat is it?â Wrenn asked.
âA while ago, there was a lot of news about Neera doing all sorts of charity. The one who was involved in the charity was her teacherâs research center. Her teacher couldnât bear to see her being slandered, she turned a blind eye and voiced out for her. Neera greedily claimed those honors that belonged to the research center.â
âIs it true?â Wrenn frowned.
âOf course. Ms. Hanson is Obadiahâs daughter, she wouldnât slander Neera. I told her about Jeanâs condition and she agreed to save his life. She wanted to stop Neera from being a hypocrite thatâs why I persuaded her first. What do you think?â
Wrenn was pondering about the credibility of Karlâs words.
âYou canât just listen to Ms. Hansonâs side of the story. It was Jean who clarified Neeraâs incident in the first place. There wouldnât be room for mistakes since he was the one who looked into it.â
Although Wrenn couldnât accept Neera, she had to admit that Neera was outstanding. Jean wouldnât like someone who would play dirty. She couldnât completely believe in Karl.
âMany organizations came forward to clarify for Neera. The evidence and details showed the donation was from Neeraâs account. It made no sense for her to donate anonymously if she was greedy to claim those honors. No one would clarify for her if sheâs that bad. It was weird for Ms. Hanson to tell this.
Sheâs problematic/
Karl was surprised at Wrennâs reaction.
âIâm not too sure about her personality. I think we can give it a try if she has great medical skills. If Ms.
Hanson canât do it, we can ask for her fatherâs help. Her fatherâs medical skills are unlikely to be less than Neeraâs.â
âWhat do you think?â Wrenn asked Frederic.
âLetâs put this matter aside first. Weâll discuss it some other day. The most important thing right now is still this shareholdersâ meeting.â
