Chapter 825 A Home For Her She couldnât stop laughing and inquired, âHow did they end up sleeping in your room?â
Jean looked over. His gaze softened involuntarily.
âThey couldnât sleep last night, so they came over. I consoled them briefly before they fell asleep.â
Neera shook her head cheerfully and smiled, saying, âThe kids are getting closer to you.â
Those words moved Jean.
âIsnât that a good thing?â he asked, smiling.
He looked at the time after saying that.
âLetâs go down for breakfast,â he suggested, thinking the triplets hadnât gotten enough sleep. We can leave them to sleep and wake them up naturally.â
The two of them made their way downstairs together.
Neera headed off to the office after a quick breakfast.
The triplets slept soundly. They awoke groggily around ten oâclock in the morning.
Jean had been in the room the entire time. He waited for them to wake up while checking his email.
He closed his laptop and set it aside when he noticed the children waking up. He rose to his feet and kissed each of their cheeks.
âYouâve woken up. Quickly freshen up. I kept your breakfast warm for you. Weâll leave after we eat.â
When the Kids heard this, they immediately became more animated. They jumped out of bed and went to the bathroom.
They eagerly dragged Jean out the door after breakfast.
The four of them had made a plan the night before to secretly decorate the venue for Mommyâs birthday proposal.
Jean had already planned a birthday present for Neera. It was a private estate.
He had recently asked lan to do some research and purchase this estate.
It was spread out over a large area and boasted gardens designed by worldâclass horticulturists. A truly oneâofâaâkind mansion.
As the triplets toured the facility, they could not contain their excitement.
âThis place is breathtaking!â
âDaddy, itâs the perfect time for you to propose to Mommy!â
Jean gave a nod. He felt the same way.
âI intend to give this place to your mommy as a gift,â he explained.
This estate may also serve as a future home for the couple and their children.
He would hire someone to change the layout to Neeraâs preferences before her birthday.
It sounded like a great idea to the triplets.
âDaddy, you planned that out so well! Mommy is going to love it!â
Jean opened his mouth to speak, but his phone rang at that exact moment. When he saw it was his father, he furrowed his brow.
He motioned for the children to look around before walking aside to answer the call.
âDad, whatâs up?â he asked flatly.
Frederic felt his heart tighten at the sound of his icy voice.
He paused for a second before finally answering, âNothing much; I just want to talk about the kids.â
Jeanâs demeanor cooled as he listened. He stated, âI think I made myself clear last time.â
Frederic had long anticipated this reaction. His tone was one of helplessness.
Frederic had long anticipated this reaction. His tone was one of helplessness.
âStop saying irrational things. Your mother has realized that she has made mistakes. She will no longer be picky about Neera. As for the children, we will gladly accept them, so perhaps it is time to make plans for us to meet them.â
Frederic sounded embarrassed at this point.
âI understand we didnât make a good impression on them. Weâre a family, after all. Weâre their grandparents, the two of us. We had no idea before, but now we do. Can you give us a chance to make amends? You canât make them hate us indefinitely, can you?
âI know my time is limited; I may die soon. I donât think Iâll be able to rest in peace unless I meet them before leaving this world.
âAs for you and Neera, we will not meddle in your affairs. If you two end up together, we will be happy for you and give our blessings. We will apologize to her if you do not. What are your thoughts?â
Fredericâs words were heartfelt and melancholy.
Jean remained silent.
